I wonder when the enquiry will start in Israel as to who and why the Hannibal Directive was initiated ? This is a huge issue because Israelis want to know who gave the order to the IDF commander to put it into operation and kill hundreds of their own. Someone has a lot of questions to answer.

I also see the death toll rise in Gaza as as bodies are being discovered under the rubble amid estimates that there are are at least 9,500 civilians still unaccounted for.

    disingenuous at best.

Palestinian civilians in Gaza are being slaughtered and starved to death - Genocide.

Calling Israel a "big bad wolf" is childish and demeaning. Israel is committing war crimes and crimes against humanity. It's not a fairy tale.

But you've missed the point - it's irrelevent who is in Gaza - if it was Irish, British or even Israeli citizens living there, the Israel Genocide would be wrong.

Alleged War Criminal #1 (at large) has steadfastly refused an enquiry to protect the guilty. Over 80% of Israelis have called for it.

Hopefully, the convicted terrorist in cabinet and his bezzie will collapse the Govt and whoever gets into power will kickstart that enquiry.

Hopefully also, some Israel will ensure Netanyahu will stray into an ICC country and be taken to the Hague to rot.

There were polls posted here many times regarding the support for the war in Israel. These polls varied from time to time yet the numbers ranged from 67% up to 91% if memory serves me right (cannot find them now).

Palestinians did not get to vote in 20 years (2006) regarding their support for Hamas. I know that a lot of them celebrated Oct 7th at the time and maybe they felt entitled to after their treatment detestable from the Israelis since 1948.

I hope so. Hamas should be replaced and so should the leadership in Israel. More moderate governments need to come into power and the warmongers handed over to the ICC.

Absolutely, we'd rather believe the figures of the ministry for health in Gaza. They're much more reliable and ready to be believed.

Lots of probablies in that post and little fact though it's interesting to see you believe that the planned torture, rape and murder of 1200 people and the capture of 251 people including babies with their subsequent torture and killing doesn't rate in any scale.

    Says a lot about you.

Unfortunately, even an IDF report won't stop the nonsense posts here that are devoid of facts. Simply because the facts don't suit the narrative being pushed.

Right, so it's only the Palestinians who are entitled to kill civilians.

Both population want to have that special kind of peace you only get by obliterating your enemies. That much should be clear to anyone who's not naive or antisemite. Fortunately, only Israel is actually capable of doing that, and I say fortunately because they are also the only one capable of restraining themselves from doing it.

Restraining you say ?? 80K not enough for you then ??

    from Jeremy Bowen, BBC.

Seems the utterly useless GFH is gone. UN is back in charge of aid. Also note his comment on the old canard if Hamas stealing aid peddled regularly in this thread:

The UN is preparing to bring in hundreds and hundreds of aid trucks a day to Gaza. This is a huge sea change.

If we look back, Israel - without providing convincing evidence publicly or to the UN - claimed UN food was being stolen by Hamas in Gaza. It set up a body with the US called the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) to replace the UN system.

A BBC Panorama investigation in September included convincing figures from a body called Armed Conflict Location and Event Data that showed at least 1,300 Palestinians have been killed at those sites.

Now it seems the old system is back. The UN is in charge of bringing aid in, and it appears, as far as we can tell, that GHF sites have been closed in Gaza.

A video on social media appears to show Palestinians picking around the ruins of one of the sites located in the north close to Gaza City. I'm told others in Rafah in the south, where Israel still has troops, have also ceased operations.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said many times that there is a food surplus in Gaza and that there was no starvation. But he has now agreed that hundreds of UN aid trucks will now go into the territory and the GHF, which he was so instrumental in setting up to try to get around the UN, now appears, as far as we can see, to be in the dustbin of history.

The superiority on display is remarkable here.

Reading responses here reminds me horse with blinkers on. No wonder why bloody conflicts like the one over there happens. You get at least one hardheaded group and it ends up in minced meat..

Worrying reports of Hamas recalling 7000 fighters to "police" Gaza. In fairness, someone has to after Israel funded and weaponised local criminal gangs to steal aid.

But if Hamas get a hold in Gaza, who knows what could happen. Tricky times ahead.

I thought Hamas were nearly all wiped out ? I read it here I think. Your figures would indicate that even more civilians were bombed to bits and less Hamas ??

Nope - you're still missing the point entirely.

I'd suggest you go back and carefully read the thread. Hopefully, the penny will drop.

And sure, there is one hardheaded group that believes the execution and starvation of innocent civilians, mostly women and children, is justified.

I'm surprised you're surprised. You're obviously not aware of the china agreement which the Palestinian groups signed last year where they all agreed that Hamas would lead any government of the Palestinian territories.

If you watched in HD, a man (Israel) beating and raping a woman (Gaza), then he said he’d stop. You wouldn’t celebrate. You’d be worried that the woman was ok, and hoping that the man didn’t start it again.

As predicted, Israel has immediately switched to Lebanon to destroy heavy machinery. The objective everywhere is ethnic cleansing to create a Greater Israel. That means demolish to make habitation not possible, force an exodus, rebuild for settlers.

The Israeli army on Saturday carried out airstrikes on six heavy machinery yards along the Al-Msayleh road in southern Lebanon, destroying more than 300 vehicles, according to local media, Anadolu reports.

Citing the Health Ministry, the state-run National News Agency reported that one Syrian national was killed in the attack, while another Syrian and six Lebanese citizens, including two women, were injured.

It said that more than 300 vehicles, including bulldozers and excavators, were destroyed, causing an estimated loss of hundreds of millions of dollars.

Yep - that's the Israeli MO alright. Take by force, agree to ceasefires then renege on them. Rinse and repeat.

If this peace deal does hold it looks like there could be some major score settling between the Isis linked gangs, that Bibi sought fit to support, and Hamas. As if Palestinians civilians haven't suffered enough already. The domestic intelligence agency in Israel has also warned Bibi to not give refuge to the gang members in Israel.

The Houthi's halt strikes against Israel and commercial shipping. Another militia without a navy or air force who remained undefeated against the combined might of the IDF, Royal navy and US navy.

I think the Hamas fanfare for the release of hostages in the last ceasefire was a mistake as it amounted to a public humiliation of Israel and may have influenced the withdrawal of Israel from the ceasefire. This time it will happen quietly on the Hamas side. However Israel may want to try to humiliate Hamas when the hostages are back in Israel?

The release of the living Israeli captives is to take place quietly, without media coverage or ceremonies.

More on what it takes to win a Nobel peace prize.

Nobel Peace Prize winner, Machado, is an ally of the Trump movement and has shared platforms with hardline right-wing groups, including neo-Nazis.

Notably, Machado is a staunch supporter of Israel and maintains close ties to its ruling Likud Party. Back in 2018, she even wrote a letter to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, calling upon him and others to wage a regime change operation to overthrow the socialist government of Nicolas Maduro. The following is an excerpt from that letter:

“It should be noted that it is not only our population that is suffering the widespread and systematic attack of the current regime. Its criminal nature, closely linked to drug trafficking and terrorism, represents a real threat to other countries, including, and especially, Israel. The current regime, which holds the powers of government hostage in Venezuela, exhibits its close collaboration with Iran and extremist groups, which, as we all know, pose an existential threat to Israel.”
