Hi all, I was lucky enough to get two Front Standing in the presale today. As a result I have two general Standing tickets spare that I bought yesterday in the artist presale. I can transfer via Ticketmaster app and am selling at cost price if anyone is interested.

Contact Ticketmaster, they might refund you if you explain the situation. They did with me for a seated show in the Point a few years ago, they refunded me the cheaper pair of tickets once they saw I'd bought a more expensive pair.

Not true unfortunately, the Guards had the roads closed from 4pm that gig.

Though that gigs organisation was a disaster. We ended up queuing for about an hour to get in. I was fuming hearing Weezer play from outside the walls.

Must have been some other incidents happening, the traffic plan shows closures for the end of the gig only, as is standard practice at Marlay.

There will be a few lads sporting badly applied lipstick on the night all right! I will stick to the black garb.

anyone else notice the vip tickets were expensive today. €20 more I think. Same ticket, different presale

anyway. I got sorted with 2 front standing tickets. Around 2 hours after the presale started. Doesn’t seem to be a big demand yet

Was in the Ticketmaster help chat. They said cos the gig was not cancelled or rescheduled it would not qualify for a refund. How did you manage to get refunded if you don't mind me asking??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 422 ✭✭joinme

Front standing showing as €170 each on ticketmaster now! Anyone else seeing this or why that might be ?

Edit- sorry that was VIP it was showing. Front standing all gone on presale

    Yes.

Just got an agent in the chat and said I wanted to return the GA tickets . Said fine as was only 24hours since so transaction reversed . Unless he's having me on ? Will let you know in 5 working days !

Yes if you contact them within 24 hours you can get a refund. Not sure if it included fees but definitely got a refund. Cant remember which concert last year I bought tickets but when I went into my account noticed they were same night as another concert I already had tickets for.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,881 ✭✭✭SteM

My refund in the past definitely included fees. It was within 24 hours of purchase.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,710 ✭✭✭davywalsh7

they used to let you refund tickets if you bought dearer tickets, I done it a few times over the years.
but tried doing it for Ricky Gervais few months ago and they wouldn’t let me do it whatsoever, v annoying

as a friend of mine once remarked at Electric Picnic, just because you're wearing it, doesn't mean it fits you

I'm going to wait until closer to the gig before taking the plunge on this. Marlay Park is a right pain for me to get to and tbh the last time i saw them in the 3 Arena, as much as i enjoyed it, i felt that i didn't really need to see The Cure again. Mind you, if we'd had Mogwai and Slowdive there'd have been zero hesitation!

Yes I had an issue when I bought a second round of tickets by accident 🙈 for a cheaper concert a while back but I think they were resale and that was why . Tried to get a refund on the initial tickets but if course it was past the refund stage so no go .

It is good that fees were refunded as well . Am happy with that .
