Oh my bad, misread, cheers, that softens that, love slowdive, bought all their music in the 90s on strange round black plastic plates with holes in the middle ;)

I was starting to fear they were only playing the larger festivals next year and at best we'd get another late in the year indoor gig. A handy 5 min walk up the road, no taxi / luas crap to deal afterwards and Metallica the weekend before.

    June '26 is looking good!!

seems like a few of my neighbours are in here, I’m also walking distance. Marley gigs have been fairly hit and miss for me act wise. This year looking much better than last

As a local it'll be my first time going to see anyone there. A good few bands have played over the years I would've gone to see but not as part of a multi lineup gig.

So most of Boards music clientele live in Marley Park. Who knew?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 4,131 ✭✭✭dasdog

I grew up right beside the park and haven't paid for a gig there since Kraftwerk in 2013 - my family can normally get free tickets from neighbours in the residence association. I'll be buying tickets just in case though and walking up but pit stopping in the gaf as I'm closer to the Aviva than there now.

Another Marlay local here and looking forward to this one. Having decent gigs like this makes putting up with the longitude messing almost bearable!

I last saw The Cure in 1991 so am over due to see them again.

longitude is my wife’s favourite weekend. The young ones walking along wearing things that just don’t fit is her favourite thing

Not Local for me and a B to get to and home from. Been to few in Marley White Strips, Artic Monkeys and Longitude when it was good

Cure always good value and seen them in RDS Point and Malahide recently not sure this time but see how ticket sales go
