Bobs half point thankfully shuts down all the Hovland chatter

    Classy interview from Bradley.

Great that it finished 15-13, nullifies any debate over the Hovland half point.

5 halved matches and 1 win for Europe today. Young and JT were excellent at the start and both can hold their heads high as they conducted themselves with decorum.

The fans are just a bunch of poorly educated yahoos. And the worst part is, given how elitist the game is in the US, is that most of those fans would be college educated, upper middle class and probably well connected. Scary that's the standard of the upper echelons of US society.

Correct. 6 v 1 in singles is not a good look, but Europe won by 2 so it's all good.

    Roll on Ireland !!

It was a tough watch over the weekend. Fair play to the European players for getting through it. American fans being pissed up and mouthy at a home Ryder Cup isn't new, but it looked to be a lot worse than usual this weekend. Not surprising many of them are emboldened to behave like assholes, at what is meant to be a prestigious international sporting event. Look how their president behaves in public FFS?

I bet the orange turd was getting them to fuel up Marine One earlier on.

Only 1 and a half behing 2 years ago. The only thing I think could have done differently is no have so many with 5 matches but then again maybe would not have won

In terms of excitement that's the best one since 2012 for me

We're going to batter them in Adare 💪

8.5 vs 3.5 to be precise. Those 5 halves were critical. They all count

That is a bit harsh - sport is about edge , excitement , mentality - people get worked up as they are so involved.

It was an unbelievably collapse - it ok to say that.

Why the event is so good - and why we love sport , it brings you to a place normal life doesn't.

Didnt think golf could be so stressfull, Lowery unbelievable bottle, when the tide had truly turned - Sportsman of the year

Fair play to the Europeans, after 2021 I did not think they would win again for a while. But losing some deadwood and older guys - Westwood (48), Garcia(41), Poulter (45) and Casey (44) - from the team and only having Rose (45) in his 40's at this Ryder Cup seems to have made a difference. Thank goodness for LIV, right?

There a good spread of individual success today throughout the team..

    Aberg only full point

    Lowry Retaining

    Hatton winning

MacIntyre take the Hovland 1/2 point fully out of the equation for the win

And Trailing in last but not so much least Fitzpatrick for holding in after an almost a total collapse

    Obviously they do.

But 6 v 1 wins is a very poor score for singles.

Aaberg the only win today , really deserves way more attention and plaudits..

And we're going to do it with respect and sportsmanship and healthy rivalry and hospitality.

What was seen outside the ropes in Bethpage these 3 days was stuff that should never be seen or heard again, in Golf or any other sport frankly. It was abhorrent.

Aberg the forgotten man -getting little credit for being the only winner -whose win stopped the possible slide to defeat.

Brilliant week - didn't see today coming , but this event delivers. Both teams these days have strength across the board.

There is no point in brushing it under the carpet - the crowd thing was nuts, out of control and lacking any class.

Not sure how that is avoided again.

It was fantastic entertainment. Hats off to the US team for fighting until the bitter end. The putts on 18 by Young and Thomas were clutch. Bryson mounted a huge comeback to win a half point.

But Aberg, Lowry, Hatton and McIntyre (kind of) did the business. Europe fell over the line, but that doesn't matter. The record books will show a 15-13 win.

Aberg shouldn’t have to buy a round tonight anyway.

    We won it

Don't bring it to New York I'd say would be a good start

NO Don - they actually won it !

It’s great to feel the emotions I felt watching that. I love sport, I love the competitive nature of it.

But it wasn’t an unbelievable collapse for me, it was an unbelievable push by the US. 8/11 games went to the 18th. That’s not a collapse. Bryson birdied 4 to get back to a/s v Fitzpatrick. That’s more brilliance from him than a collapse by Fitzpatrick.

For all the talk of the US crowd being abusive, which they were, a lot of stuff written on here was very very harsh as you always see on social media about professional sports. Yeah it’s different than shouting during someone’s backswing but the mindset isn’t as different as some people would like to believe IMO.

Sport like that should be celebrated, not used as a reason to talk others down IMO.

So true, Lowry getting all the limelight for a battling half but Aberg the only guy to win a point.

In Adare I'm sure the crowd will respect the USA team, But could we pick one hole on the first day where some Irish Foul language is allowed….Call it the happy hour hole…

On every USA back swing and auld…Hup you Boyo!!!
