It's pointless arguing with you. Anyone with two brain cells to rub together can see that Robinson was motivated by extreme opposition to Kirk's (supposedly right wing) ideology which by any rational analysis makes his motivation left wing. As he said about Kirk:

"I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can't be negotiated out."

How else do you interpret that?

I do wonder what motivates this strange position. I think it's a remarkably binary, purity thing. Right versus wrong. Good versus evil. Or maybe it's just my tribe against your tribe. And you defend your tribe at all cost.

It seems to me that the last few shootings in the U.S are what Trump has called them, attacks on Christians. There seems to be a self-evident truth linked to the shootings and that the shooters were not atheist but rather Christian in upbringing. Todays shooting and church-burning was L.D.S related. It appears todays shooter may have been intent on bringing the actual church building down around him and the congregation as he drove his vehicle through the doors of and into the church. Trump has already spoken on the occurrence as is his want.

    Well,

Führer Oath, was the oath of personal loyalty to Adolf Hitler, sworn by military personnel and civil servants in Nazi Germany from 1934 to 1945, replacing the previous oath to the constitution. The most common version for soldiers, sworn after the death of President Hindenburg, was: "I swear by God this sacred oath, that I will render unconditional obedience to Adolf Hitler, the Führer of the German Reich and People, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and that I am prepared as a brave soldier to risk my life at any time for this oath". This oath was a critical component of Hitler's consolidation of power, transferring loyalty from the state to his person, and holding the military and civil service to his will.  Background of the Oath

    • Death of Hindenburg: On August 2, 1934, following the death of President Paul von Hindenburg, Hitler merged the offices of Chancellor and President, declaring himself Führer und Reichskanzler
    • New Oath: Hitler immediately had the military swear a new oath of loyalty to him personally, which also applied to civil servants, ensuring their unconditional obedience to his command.

    https://news.sky.com/story/several-people-shot-at-mormon-church-in-michigan-13440437

"Two people have been killed and several others injured after a mass shooting and fire at a Mormon church in Michigan, police have said.

Authorities said at a news conference that the suspect was shot dead by police officers, and that nine others were injured."

So because the GOP and Democrats cannot sit down and negotiate a way to end the government shutdown stalemate, and because Trump has threatened to fire loads of federal workers who would ordinarily be just furloughed (which itself is bad), there are loads of federal workers this weekend who have no idea if they will have still a job by the end of next week. I would be absolutely incensed with anger and anxiety if that were me that both sides are basically using those workers and their livelihoods as pawns.

Cop yourself on. Your fooling nobody.

You have been desperately attempting to blame this shooting on a young man from a Mormon hard right MAGA family being radicalized by some mysterious hard left wing group since the beginning without a single piece of evidence. Even Patel`s FBI have written that off as nonsense.

You have even laughably tried using mathematics and attempting to ignore that when it comes to murders due to hate, the right are well ahead on that score and there are some on the far right who hated Kirk as well.

Robinson did not kill Kirk because he was radicalized. He was from a MAGA family and killed Kirk because he was living with a transitioning man and hated what Kirk was saying on transitioning. In fact if you want to blame anyone for Robinson shooting him you can blame Kirk`s own big mouth.

What is this both sides rubbish? Trump is apparently the greatest deal maker the world had ever known, his business acumen the reason many state for voting for him, but he can't get a deal done and its the Democrats fault?

The GOP wanted power, got it completely and still have no idea how to actually use it. They forced through the big beuatiful bill despite calls from the Dems, Trump signs EO without any care for congress. But it is now down the Dems to act in the interests of the country?

Probably another "leftie" like the shooter in North Carolina. Oh...

Not withstanding the fact that, up until he TACO'd, he refused to even meet with them to try and work out a deal.

At this stage whoever the f*CK "the left" is supposed to be should just sit this one out and watch these maniacs kill each other.

All the Republicans have to do is not make the healthcare crisis worse. It would cost $25Bn.

Which isn't a lot when you can cut US Aid by $5Bn and guarantee $20Bn for Argentina.

The Europe fans at the Ryder Cup singing "are you watching Donald Trump" as they were lifting the trophy, will really have hurt his ego

    Presumably this was a republican, for 3 reasons;

    1. I see lots of accounts reposting Charlie Kirk stuff are saying we need to wait for the facts and it might have been PTSD to blame

    2. The MAGA crew don’t seem to be losing their minds about it

    3. FAILSAFE hasn’t been in giving out about “leftist violence”

The Republican candidate predicted this just a few days ago. They've been offering everyone money it seems to drop out

I don’t think we’ll know until it happens, there are too many variables. I suspect most folks won’t be affected, the legal rules on the use of the military are still in force.

There may be positives. Half my guys got mobilized a couple weeks ago for border duty, it was not a voluntary mission. There are the normal downsides to their lives and employers, and to their military training. On the other hand, I know what they are up to and there is a tangible positive effect; the troops’ morale is high because of it. They aren’t just standing around watching tumbleweeds go by.

Similarly CNN had an article today on a DC firefighter who was robbed and shot in front of his house. He gave up on hold to 911 and called his firehouse instead. The guy who shot him was picked up by federal agents who had been sent to DC as part of the Trump surge a little later.

Overall, I suspect that this Portland thing is more likely to be performative, a bit like the California mobilization. More political than practical ramifications (on both sides) but we’ll see. The one to really keep an eye on is Memphis. I would expect little co-operation from Oregon state or Portland, but if the troops are arriving in Memphis with the authorization of the governor, (which appears to be the case, Trump’s order cites Title 32, not Title 10, which is the Portland mobilization) their legal authorities are likely to be more substantial and thus their effect more tangible.

If a slew of texts emerge where he explains what his motive was, then that's what people will say what his motive was. But, at the moment, it doesn't look like "leftist violence" unlike the Kirk case.

"We" meaning, you and Robinson. He said the words and it seems you agree with him.

Surely the question that should be being asked is not whether there is some legal framework which allows the military to be used domestically, but rather why should the military, which is a war machine, be sent into cities in a supposedly first-world democracy with some of the most armed police forces in the world?

You seem to have simply accepted this as something almost normal, certainly something that is needed.

That the US military is now being mobilised against its own citizens should bring fear into every patriotic American and should absolutely be the rallying call for all the 2nd Amendment purists.

It's being sold as a crackdown on crime, with the inherent bias that the crime is being done by 'others'. But crime is overwhelmingly committed by US citizens (if only by sheer dint of numbers), so this is a direct attack by the POTUS on US citizens

The 1878 Posse Comitatus Act bans the use of the military for law enforcement except in limited circumstances. The 1807 Insurrection Act has not been invoked. It allows their use in the event of a rebellion.

Not since the 1960s has a President federalised a states National Guard against the will of the Governor, which has happened in California already in LA.

    SCOTUS is asleep.

Watch this space. It's only a matter of time until lefties drinking soy latte in their local cafe is declared an act of war. And then people like MM will unthinkingly obey that "lawful order" whilst explaining to us how all of it is above board, a reasonable use of force, nothing to see here, move along…

in a sane society anyone wearing a t shirt of a political leader would be shunned. If a mate of mine turned up in a MLMD or Michael Martin t shirt to absolutely anything the mockery would last until they died and even then probably get mentioned at the funeral. It’s a very odd thing for anyone to do, the worship of political leaders is a terrible step as it emboldens them to believe they are more than they are or should be

It's definitely not a good thing. But, it didn't start with Trump. Remember the Obama "Hope" image. That adorned many's the T-shirt, even here as well. They used to say that "Democrats fall in love. But, Republicans fall in line". That has definitely changed as republicans fall in love now as well, and not in a nice way.

I think the most alarming is those pro Trump tshirts declaring "dictator from day 1!"

Must be a former MAGA who has been indoctrinated by those left wing academics.

Anyway, it's obvious that he's MAGA because the usual suspects aren't in here demanding us lefties admit he's one of us.
