Very odd start from Americans, of course it could change quickly but they don’t look right. Guess they don’t have much to be happy about but that doesn’t usually stop them giving it large, some of them look beaten already!

The American team would gladly walk off this course if they could. They don't care about playing this game today and would rather be anywhere else.

I'd say plenty of Americans thought after yesterday "we made assholes of ourselves", and some realise they have today to try to repair their image. Maybe I'm giving them too much credit.

I have to credit JT and Young they tried to quell the madness all day yesterday. It can't have helped them either. We've all played in teams where you love to rile up your support after a big score but then respect the free taker 2 minutes later. This is the same thing.

2nd last point, I think by the end yesterday even the Americans respected the absolute mental strength of Rory and Shane. They threw everything they had at them and still couldn't put them off.

Anyway, Europe are off to a flyer so its a matter of who delivers the decisive blow. Expect the fans to turn on their own once it is.
