They could well win this - that would be savage and takle away the good point of Spaun.

Delighted for them - fully deserved point.

11.5 v 4.5 is a serious score and thoroughly deserved.

    Drive on again tomorrow !!

I guess it’s time for ICE to step in and arrest the entire team for not having appropriate work visas.

Surely this is in the bag now.

Only 2.5 to retain, 3 to win outright..

That's a new record for most points at the end of Day 2. Europe with 11 and 1/2 points.

Beating the previous record of 11 points set by USA in 2021, and Europe in 2004.

Pity Bryson didn't try it on Lowry. Don't think he'd have been as restrained as Rose

Keegan was always an odd choice as Captain, as well as been quiet an odd person.

I wouldn't be shocked if he tried to pair Morikawa and English again tomorrow in the singles!!!!

I'm so delighted to see Europe winning this so well so far. What a Saturday- hey!? Europe 🇪🇺 & the golf in general has been off the charts.

The American crowd are full of classless clowns. However, I think it's important to differentiate between the US players & the poorly behaved US crowd & their golf loving joke of a president. The American players have by & large been well behaved, just simply out played, out team worked and out fought by the gallant Europeans.

It's always nice to win, but when an opposition's crowd are being this classless & clueless, by doing things like chanting countdowns at European players play, shouting Fore on their drives (or even in their backswings), and insulting the players personally (e.g. McIlroy), it's simply wonderful to see Europe stand up & be counted, and play wonderful golf in New York, that's quietening the louts & beating the yanks in their back yard.

Long may it continue - Luvin it!!

Looking at SKY now, you'd think it was being held in Europe

This has been a masterclass from Europe, unfortunately makes it a non event tomorrow.

Probably only 2 to retain if Hovland doesn't make it

Bryson might have been on the receiving end of a Glasgow Kiss Clara Clatter.

Beem is quality, unbiased and says it like it is, by far the best commentator Sky have these days

Given the position they find themselves in, that has to be the aim.

12 points on offer and get as many as is humanly possible.

Opportunities to humble Americans don't come around very often = let alone on their own soil - grasp it with both hands and destroy them hopefully.

Hopefully there should be a new MC tomorrow because todays was a comedian and not someone who knows the definition of etiquette.

Great days golf and drama and still a stand out competition.

Be great if it was as dramatic tomorrow but can’t see it.

Wow what an incredible day, 11.5-4.5 is some beatdown in the first two days. Delighted for Fitz and Hatton at the end there too, richly deserved.

I know it makes tomorrow devoid of tension but I hope Europe continue to destroy the US morale and run up the score far beyond 14.5 with confidence running so high.

It'll be interesting to see the singles order, McIlroy and Rahm look shattered, will Donald perhaps start with Fleetwood and then Fitz, Rose, and McIlroy/Rahm in the first quartet, McIlroy/Rahm, Hatton, MacIntyre, and Lowry in the middle order, then Hovland anchoring the final four with presumably Aberg, Straka, and Hojgaard going off at the end.

For the US, Scheffler has gone 0-4 and DeChambeau has gone 1-3 so can Bradley really put them out first but he probably will along with Cam Young and Cantlay early, Schauffele and Thomas will probably be 5/6 with Spaun and Burns behind them, then bringing up the rear will likely be Henley, English, Morikawa, and Griffin who have collectively gone 0-7.

My prediction is probably 18-10 to Europe with some of the European stars running out of gas and the US middle order getting some points on the board to prevent the record being broken but I hope I'm wrong.

P.s. on bad behaviour, the mc on the 1st apparently used an expletive wrt McIlroy over the PA system to rile up the crowd. I mean ffs, is this where the game is being channeled to by the PGA!?

They had to increase the security on this match during the round. McIlroy was visibly upset later in the round, the crowd were actually preventing him being able to address his ball on several occasions because the crowd insisted on jeering. This behaviour & PGA PA person blaring expletives on an individual player over a PA is a new low imho.

Just when I think Fleetwood can’t go up anymore in my estimation, he’s there playing with a police dog and you just know he loves dogs.
