Trump is going to send the National Guard into long island as there is a massacre going on from a group of bloody foreigners.

Multiple videos of it online from inside the capitol. One showing one kunt of a cop grabbing at the hands of a guy with cerebal palsy trying to get the plastic ties on him.

"ICE Agent" tucks his gun into his waistband and then drops it and a mag. I wonder if that was part of his 15 minutes of training.

US soya bean exports to China collapse amidst Trump trade war. China stopped importing them in May. Down from over 6 million metric tonnes to 0.

AP talks to farmers about it.

    Here we go.

Now, we will see the real impact of tariffs role in. These were always going to take time to kick in, this is only the start of it.

Given that most of the US farmers it seems voted for him they deserve any and all the economic pain they get and then some.

I never really pay much attention to golf but the fact that this current US' regime's odious behaviour has spilled over into a golf match like it seems to have done this weekend is pathetic. American arrogance on full display and it really is not a good look to put it mildly.

I’d be interested to hear from the people living there what’s the ultimate impact of this deployment?
MAGA won the election in part, due to creating a culture of fear - Fear culture created (even when there was no good argument to be fearful or at heightened levels) coupled with “strong leader” /“take no sh1t” imagery and narrative= MAGA seen as the “saviour” - thus election win.

I’ve no doubt every one of the states have their problems - but this feels like MAGA are creating a story for their own end- in a place of state they need in the next election -likely clearing the streets of homeless and dumping them in some suburb full of people who can’t vote or similar - it’s disgusting yes- but it’s also a clever move - Americans need to wake up to these obvious fear induced excuses for MAGA to market themselves as the saviours and protectors of democracy.

So if you are talking to the people you know, it would be interesting to hear what they’re saying in say 6 months time- do the streets “feel” safer to walk on? Has open drug taking and homelessness been pushed to deprived suburbs leaving the city centre streets feeling like a Stepford utopia ? Do the public feel “safer”?

That’s where we’ll see the real impact of these interventions - people may not like this intrusion right now- but will they come to accept it and even become accustomed to it and most importantly- not want it to end or to revert to the way it was? Thats when MAGA will have succeeded

Trump is going to bail them out with the tariff money collected, isn’t that what they called socialism?

Trump has announced America’s H-1B visa programme will come with a new $100,000 (£75,000) fee, triggering panic among Silicon Valley bosses

He’s going to bail the out….again.

Will Maga be shouting “communism”, etc?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,058 ✭✭✭✭threeball

The only way he "bails them out" is by having his billionaire buddies buy up their land for pennies on the dollar. It will be one of the biggest transfers of wealth in history. The turkeys voted for Christmas

Once gain, you seem to have a problem with comprehension. I never stated that attacks from the left outnumber those from the right. My point is how ridiculous it is to blindly accept an analysis (from the ADL) which contains questionable data (and which I'm sure you haven't even looked at), while at the same time denying this one case, where the evidence is clear, but you seem to think has been fabricated.

But, hey we're still arguing over it, while American democracy is being shredded before our eyes. Trump has really crossed the Rubicon with the Comey indictment. He had to fire the federal prosecutor for Eastern Virginia, and install his personal lawyer who has no prosecutorial experience to implement it.

The charge against Comey, the Sunday school teacher and probably the least likely person to have committed any kind of crime related to his work, is astonishingly vague and weak. If it gets to court, it's hard to see it goign anywhere unless Trump manages to replace the judge as well. Extraordinary times:

    trump

    verb phrase

trump up,  to devise deceitfully or dishonestly, as an accusation; fabricate.

    1. Try as they might, they were unable to trump up a convincing case against him.

“The opposite of 'good' is 'good intentions'”

On the economic front DOGE wasn't very efficient. However, they hovered up data on most citizens so there's that. The Stasi could only dream of what's happening in the US since Trump too over.

In other news the Big Beautiful Bill involves removing health care for up to 17 million people. But rest assured the money saved will be put to good use.

Putting America First by giving $20Bn to prop up Argentina's government.

Claims Trump leaks NJ Democratic governor nominee's Social Security number to GOP opponent

Clear data protection questions for a government to do this. Its disturbing and probably violates the 4th amendment (unwarranted searches and seizures).

The 4th Amendment to the US Constitution says:

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

His administration says it will bail out the American farmers, but it looks like they're more interested in bailing out Argentinians.

I have had no problem comprehending any of your post. Or the context either.

You have been on here asserting that Robinson was radicalized by the left to shot Kirk without even a shred of evidence to support your claims. When challenged you had nothing to back up that assertion, and attempted to use mathematical probability to prove your case which mathematically was also debunked. When shown the ratio of of 11 to 1 of right wing murders compared to left wing murders by another poster you challenged that as well with some rambling about the ADL and murders in prisons. Again with nothing to back it up.

I have shown you that between 2017 and 2022 there were 58 murders committed by the right. 49 of them mass murders in 4 instances. None of those murders were in prisons or fabricated by the ADL. They have been widely reported by law enforcement and the media as to what they were. Hate crime by the right.

Yet here you are still whittering that Robinson was radicalized by the left to shot Kirk.

You are a bit late in coming to the realization that Trump and his MAGA are out to destroy democracy in the U.S.and you could add their attempts to shut down free speech using, like yourself without a grain of evidence, that it was some left- wing plot that got your hero Kirk killed.

According to a report in The Independent, Kash Patel has walked back claims by Trump that FBI agents acted as agitators and insurrectionists amongst the "peaceful" Trump fan crowd in Washington on 06 Jan 2020 to stir up trouble but admitted on Fox News Digital that FBI agents were sent on a “crowd control mission.” He agreed that sending them into the mob was a breach of Bureau protocol.

Trump, as usual, coloured his comments by prefacing the words agitators and insurrectionists with the word "PROBABLY" on his Truth Social site, weak as **** on facts as usual with cut-out words. He's asking for the identities of the agents sent into the crowd by the FBI. Sacking and doxing by Trump is probably what he has in mind for the agents unless Patel draws a line in the sand on the issue for Trump.

One important point is that Trump, not Biden, was President at the time the instructions were given to the FBI agents to go into the Trump crowd. It'll be interesting to see how Trump will twist the facts "it wasn't me, I had no hand in it, I know nothing" to get around them with his fan base.

'That's false': Kash Patel stuns observers by correcting Trump on 'outlandish' FBI claim

Would reckon this is a "You're Fired" moment for Patel, a person of colour daring to disagree with Trump in public, hanging offense.

Given his surname and Trump's problems with India, Patel might have an unscheduled interview with ICE this week.

    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/judge-james-comey-indictment-confusion-trump/

As usual, he only hires the best lmao.

"So I only reviewed the one with the two counts that our office redrafted when we found out about the two — two counts that were true billed, and I signed that one. I did not see the other one. I don't know where that came from," Halligan told the judge.

Vaala responded, "You didn't see it?" And Halligan again told her, "I did not see that one."

Vaala seemed surprised: "So your office didn't prepare the indictment that they —"

Halligan then replied, "No, no, no — I — no, I prepared three counts. I only signed the one — the two-count (indictment). I don't know which one with three counts you have in your hands."

"Okay. It has your signature on it," Vaala told Halligan, who responded, "Okay. Well."

Trump to speak at hastily called meeting of top military leaders – reports

Maybe Trump was to lay down the law and threaten the military with treason if they don't follow orders or he might demand a personal Oath of Allegiance, he's definitely up to something.

So some-one in what is now Halligan's office screwed up by sending more than one indictment document reviewed and signed by Halligan of the counts being pursued against Comey after she took up the prosecutors job while she thought only one was sent to the court. How unfortunate that the second three count indictment wasn't shredded, still she's new to the career and task. Maybe Bondi and Trump will give her time to learn.
