Donald would have given up his first born if someone offered him 5½ / 2½ at breakfast this morning.

    Thats a wonderful start. Wonderful.

Luke can't pick him after that. His putting has been poor for ages.

Shane didnt do enough to warrant game tomorrow, although if morning goes wrong he might get another go although Rory carried him today.

Agree about Lowry, Donald has to be looking at 5 pts tomorrow, 4 minimum. And so its on Rose, Fleetwood, Rahm, Rory, they've got to let them be the Lieutenant for each group and attack the morning Fourballs for 2 or 3.

If its 9 or 10 on the board by dinner tomorrow, the singles will look after themselves

Rahm and Fleetwood were unreal today. Looked like Europe's best two players, I assume the stats would agree. McIlroy very good also

That's an absolute shocker of a t-shirt on Nick Dougherty, for a lad that's usually dressed to the nines

Think the US have to get to 7 tomorrow to have any chance. The way they played today I can't see it tbh. Although they'll surely be better tomorrow.

Serious pressure on the US players now. Some of their big players not doing it so far while Europe's big stars are.

He was and still is a mediocre match play golfer.

I’m sure he’s phenomenal around the team, slapping McIlroy on the back, geeing the lads up and all that.

I’d put him out in fourball tomorrow afternoon and hopefully he can get into a rhythm.

    Brilliant day of golf.

    Great day.

Dont think Shane did enough personally.

But look every 1/2 counts .

Just think Rory playing 2 times and carrying a mate a bit too much to ask.

    Rory must be exhausted.

No complaints if Rory gets a morning off..

Fitz and Aberg get to lead off tomorrow v Bryson and Young. Hopefully handle that and sneak something.

Rory and Tommy out 2nd in repeat of foursomes match of today, can see a win there.

Rahm Hatton in 3rd v Schauffle Cantlay....tight match but think Europe will take it which could be a swinging match for the whole thing.

Bob Mac and Vik vs Scheffler and Henley...again hopefully nab something from this, nothing to fear based on today.

Had a feeling Bradley could turn out to be a dud. Tomorrow morning could prove pivotal, cos putting English and Morikawa together could be suicide move.

Goes to show how elite golf is such a fine thing..

Max Homa a guest on NLU as opposed to actually playing.

    Calling course boring....

would ‘Monty’ be there in person supporting team Europe does anyone know. Widely regarded as one of Europe’s best ever Ryder cup players….?

If this goes the way it looks for Captain Bradley he could go down as one of the worst of all time.

Players he's picked so far seem to have zero chemistry with each other and he is unwilling to change things up because this was his plan and from the faces on some of them it seems like they would rather be elsewhere. At least BDC seems like he's up for it, just needs to get hot rather than lukewarm.

Hopefully the US can get a few points in the board today or tomorrow could turn out to be a damp squid/sqib!

Matt Fitz answered a few critics yesterday with an excellent performance, hopefully he can back it up today.

Yeah...was delighted for him. If we get 5 points out of the sessions today I think that's it, Sunday will be a procession for Europe.

I think it’s such a pathetic thing now that there appears to be rumblings about McIroy making a gesture towards the knuckle dragging fans. Rank hypocrisy, it’s like how Trump does/says whatever he wants and then cries foul if others call him out or use his own toxic tactics against him.

Like the toxic person we all know who causes anarchy and then stands back and acts like they were minding their own business and things just happened.
