Can't remember who said it, but someone said he got into politics because his arms were too weak to strangle prostitutes…

I felt sorry for all the UN translators who had to try to translate his gibberish rantings, like this:

We have a border, strong, and we have a shape, and that shape doesn't just go straight up. That shape is amorphous when it comes to the atmosphere. And if we had the most clean air, and I think we do, we have very clean air, we have the cleanest air we've had in many, many years. But the problem is that other countries like China, which has air that's a little bit rough, it blows. And no matter what you're doing down here, the air up here tends to get very dirty because it comes in from other countries where their air isn't so clean.

I think he is trying to say that air pollution doesn't respect borders but a toddler could say it more coherently than that dope.

Personally I'd have given it to Qaddafi with his rambling speech a few years back, and then there was this:

    image.png

but CFTrump just sounded like a senile old man yelling at clouds for an hour. Pathetic, really.

Anyone lamenting the loss of George Hook from the airways is an idiot.

The felon is getting away with so much and has managed to avoid prison

    Election fraud is gaining traction

US democracy was weak and near collapsing can it be saved or can states retreat to govern themselves.

Looks like the kirk investigation is so made up to make it look like a left plot, surely the killer will walk FBI is to compromised

I heard someone make a joke that several translators had to hospitalised for extreme confusion.

Trying to make excuses for not combating pollution in the States would be my interpretation.

(Now I am no expert on pollution levels in the States but I doubt he or his cabal are interested in adressing them except by obfuscation ,denial or evasion )

I see that the grift continues.

Despite saying that the would personally pay for the new Ballroom at the White House , he's now looking for "donations" , but only if they agree that it gets called " The Donald J Trump Ballroom"..

The donations will fully pay the cost, so surprise surprise here won't have to pay a penny.

I'm sure you can point to lots of things he said that weren't lies, but this was the quote I was referring to:

“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the Maga gang desperately trying to characterise this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.”

He claimed the killer was "one of them" ie a member of the MAGA gang. If he meant something different he's had plenty of time to clarify but I don't think he has.

Trump seems inclined to get into a row with FIFA over a report that UEFA was supposed to be discussing barring Israel form the world cup, which is being run jointly by the US, Canada and Mexico. It's natural for him to make noises when mention is made to Israel and possible restrictions on it as a nation over its actions in Gaza. Allegedly he's supposed to have said he will block any move to bar Israel from the competition next year.

Robinson is clearly one of them. There is massive doubt as to whether he is a killer though

Do you mean they got the wrong guy?

Robinson is clearly one of them

You mean his background/family are MAGA? That might be true, but it would be strange to say that he couldn't possibly hold political views different from his family, surely?

Eh … did you read what you wrote? Here, let me help you out: his exact words, which you yourself have quoted, were:

… with the Maga gang desperately trying to characterise this kid … as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it

That's precisely what the "Maga gang" - including those who post on here - were doing. Blaming the left, the radical left, the libs, the trans, the immigrants, the aliens and every other "other" but refusing absolutely to consider even the remote possibility that he might have been one of them. And then trying to score political points from it.

Jimmy Kimmel did not say he was "one of them" - he said the Maga gang were desperate to say he wasn't one of them. Not a word of lie in that.

There's not "massive doubt" at all outside of online conspiracy theorists. The picture you previously posted citing as evidence that he isnt the killer is AI generated. If it wasn't him then who did it? Let me guess...was it Israel? Lol

Wow. How can you quote Kimmel verbatim and then state he said something he didn’t. That’s quite an achievement. Most Trumpian.

Rep Thomas Massey (R Kentucky) says there are 218 votes in the House for releasing the Epstein files.

It's possible, but rare, to force a vote over the Speakers head using a Discharge Petition.

What do you mean by "blaming the left"? Are you "left" and you think you are being blamed for what he did? That's really not the case at all. Robinson had left wing views, but that is not a reflection on other people with left wing views.

Jimmy Kimmel did not say he was "one of them" - he said the Maga gang were desperate to say he wasn't one of them. Not a word of lie in that.

Wow! To say that distinction is Jesuitical would be tough on the Jesuits. Why would he say "the Maga gang were desperate to say he wasn't one of them" except to suggest that he was one of them? 😀 😀

Well he had no idea that Russia have been suspended from competing in international football since 2022, has banned travel of Iranians (who have already qualified for the World Cup) to the US, is a good friend of FIFA President Gianni Infantino and they share a common friend in Vladimir Putin.

He is in good company so UEFA's vote on Israel competing in competitions will be influenced. It's doubtful Israel will even get a playoff spot with Norway running away with the qualifying group and Italy ahead with a game in hand (Israel actually played very well against Italy) but as usual he is abusing his position in power to sway influence in areas he knows bollock all about.

Sometimes you stop and remember what an utterly absurd individual Donald Trump really is. It can be easy to get a bit desensitised over time…

Orange face. Weird hair. Fake wife. Obsession with gaudy trinketry and gold. Has the Oval Office bedecked with said gold. Has his mugshot framed and hung in the White House. Has a complete disregard and disconnection from ordinary people. Obsessed with wealth and being seen to be wealthy. Obsessed with adoration. Is lauded by the 'Christian' right-wing in the USA despite not giving a single fúck about anything Jesus ever was supposed to have said. Proudly proclaimed that he hates his opponents to a gaggle of these so-called Christian-nationalists at the Kirk memorial, to big cheers.

He's like a grotesque embodiment of neo-liberal economics; the kind of thing you would have made up to satirise its worst excesses. Just a completely bizarre person on all levels.

And voting him as president of the USA is really just the country saying, 'OK, you win, corporations. We cannot fight you any longer. If we can just have some liberal tears to drink, that will be enough. We'll forgo our union benefits, pensions, healthcare, liveable wage, housing, and will actively cheer you on as you further gouge our country under the banner of sticking it to the left. Take everything. We'll even cheer on these tariffs. We know we're paying them. And we know where the money is going. It's not going to us, but it's not going to libs, either! Yay!"

The right-wing and left-wing were dangerously close to agreeing on the utter devastation being wreaked upon their collective lives by corporate greed during and after austerity. Thankfully, Trump came along to champion some meaningless culture-war bullshit that has no bearing on anyone, but makes people angry. While trans people are made a complete pariah and bogeyman, firms like Blackrock continue to slide their tendrils into every public traded company to extract wealth, drive up profit, make products worse and buy up the loot of recession. And no-one notices or cares. Far too distracted. You really have to say, 'bravo'. What else can you do…

Why would he say "the Maga gang were desperate to say he wasn't one of them" except to suggest that he was one of them?

Maybe to highlight just how far into overdrive the MAGA gang had gone to distance themselves from what had happened, apportioning blame before any real facts were known. Blame that they laid everywhere and anywhere, other than on their own community.

But if you can't see that from listening to and reading Kimmel's exact words, then there's probably no point in trying to explain it to you.

There is no "might be true". Tyler Robinson said it about his father in his texts, and his grandmother said she didn`t know a single member of the family that was a Democrat.

That he had, not just different views from his family, but hard left views due to being radicalised by some mysterious hard left wing group was/is the narrative MAGA have been trying since it became clear he was from their own gene pool.

Problem for them, or anyone else who is attempting it, is that even Patel`s FBI say there is absolutely nothing from his online activity to even indicate that. Not to be outdone though, Patel is now looking at this supposed radicalisation having been by hand signals.

Not for me to tell Patel, the head of a national security and law enforcement agency with 37,000 people on the books how to run an open minded investigation, but I would have went with carrier pigeons before hand signals.

While that may be, the suggestion that the killing was motivated by Kirk's anti-transgender stance is really all MAGA need. There won't be any nuance with this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,139 ✭✭✭✭Frank Bullitt

They don't need anything, they will use it regardless of the evidence, or lack of.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,954 ✭✭✭✭charlie14

Where are you getting that "Robinson had left wing views" from, and what are they as nobody other than you appears to know them or how he came by them ?

A school friend of his gave a statement that he had, but then withdrew his statements. His mother said something about him leaning left in the past year or so, but this is a 22 year old man, who was living with a transitioning man, who comes from a Mormon hard Trump MAGA supporting family.

Caught reading U.S.A Today would highly likely get you looked on as leaning left in that family.

It seems the Grand Jury that indicted ex FBI director James Comey was located in Virginia, which is less Democrat leaning than DC.

The prosecution is being led by the Acting Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia. Note that Trump a few days ago fired a previous one Erik Siebert, when he believed there was insufficient evidence for certain prosecutions wanted. Then Maggie Cleary was Acting Attorney for a few days and now Lindsey Halligan is. Halligan is a former personal lawyer of Trump.

CNN saying the career lawyers didnt want to be associated with this prosecution. These prosecutors are political appointees.

Count 1 is a charge of making a false statement to a Senator. Second count is of obstructing a Congressional hearing. Reports the Grand Jury refused to indict him on a third charge of making a false statement.

    • Former FBI boss James Comey has been indicted on alleged crimes "related to the disclosure of sensitive information", the US justice department says
    • He is charged with one count of making false statements and another of obstruction of justice
    • US Attorney General Pam Bondi says "no one is above the law" after the indictment was announced

    This seems shaky.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,954 ✭✭✭✭charlie14

I`m not sure that will be an easy sell for them.

If it was they would have been all over it since early on when it was obvious Robinson wasn`t part of some left wing plot to kill Kirk. Especially when even here you see some still holding out hope it was.

There are also groups on the hard right that had no love for Kirk for his anti-transgender stance.
