i like perplexity - i find it more factual, it doesn't try to be a friend like chatgpt. Very good for research and will always quote sources - although like any of the models you do need to check the source - a blogger who quotes a piece of research could be a source.

i also have access to their Comet browser, but have to play with that properly.

only remembered i had a paypal account over the weekend, so this is a bonus, thanks

i had a paid subscription, it won't let me sign up again for free. I opened a new paypal under a different email, it is still saying I am ineligible. Anyone with a work around ?

So you sign up but don't get the offer for 30 days? Or am I missing something?

I signed up earlier but don't have the pro version that I can see, have a PayPal account for years. It say's this in my account. "Unlock the most powerful search experience with Perplexity Pro Get the most out of Perplexity with Pro.Learn more"

No, that Perplexity pro isn't on mine just the ask anything box. Also there's a box on the bottom right of the screen asking to upgrade to pro. On desktop.

Sorted, I used a disposable card when signing up so went back and used my normal card so all working now. Reminder set to cancel!
