You’re dreaming if you think a world class player is joining United right now. He was never coming to us.

    Mother of God

Amorim in 31 PL games = 16 losses

Anything to be said for another mass?

Not much out there at the moment. Glasner would be an improvement.

Defence has been an absolute mess, midfield nearly as bad and attack non existent

Time is contagious, everybody's getting old.

don’t understand and why Amorim refuses to tactically do anything different. We could play this game for the next week and we won’t score .

Amorim must be trying to get sacked. How long will it take him to realise a one man midfield will not work.

Sesko is looking like Hoijlund Mark 2.

The club just seems to be cursed.

Doesnt matter who the manager is or what players they buy, they are still useless.

If we get nothing from Chelsea next weekend, well he has to go.

That’s biggest negative from today for me. Still very early but every passing minute I get more concerned.
Was hoping at the very least to see him retain the odd ball or run a team in behind. Not really sure what he does. Hojlund indeed

They have to be seriously considering if RA 's position is worth carrying on and writing off the season. ???

How crap is Dorgu at crossing

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,209 ✭✭✭KH25

He needs to be let go tonight. This isn’t a case of giving time. He’s had plenty of that, and he’s stubbornly sticking to a system that’s failing. It’s time for the club to be more proactive in getting rid of coaches.

Amorim's attempts to change things through substitutions is pointless. The system is not working, swapping the players around will not change that - moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

Amorim has been awful for United and the team will continue to get battered week in, week out with him there. Those who continue to defend him are delusional - I cannot see what they're clinging to at this point.

Let’s wait and see how he gets on in the Middle East friendlies

How does bayindir spent 10 seconds on the ball looking down field to boot it long and think Amad is a good target

If Amorim stopped being so moronically stupid and put Bruno #10 and played a second midfielder there'd be an immediate improvement. Even with how wonky his system is, he is sabotaging himself.

This simply can't be allowed to continue so unfortunately for RA the writing is on the wall. Shocking team selection that smacked of stubbornness rather than trying to win the game. Picking his favourites, refusing to make obvious changes and the changes he did make made us a lot worse.

We look weak and clueless. Utterly devoid of aggression or skill. I think Amorim will walk before he's pushed.

    Amorim will walk/be gone tonight

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,781 ✭✭✭Iseedeadpixels

Ratcliffe is too stubborn, Amorims going nowhere with his fantastic system and average of 1 point per game.

Clown show, we are not a serious club.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,511 ✭✭✭BenK

I really wanted Amorim to work but just can't see it at this stage. I think he does walk before he's pushed too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,208 ✭✭✭thegreengoblin

Maguire has been stealing a living for years so no surprise that he was involved in another shambolic goal to add to his collection. But Amorim has to take the blame for that goal by bringing him on. A stupid decision at the time and even worse now. Even if Yoro was injured you don't bring Maguire on with Haaland prowling the pitch, waiting to pounce.

And I've seen comments from people in recent weeks and months sticking up for Maguire, saying well at least he has passion and isn't afraid of sticking his head in where it hurts and he gets us goals. Mortifying stuff. We need quality, not passion.

If Amorim was at least showing that he's willing to try and mix it up and correct obvious problems such as the midfield mess then maybe I'd say stick with him. But he's toast now, surely.

Mainoo's had a couple of good moments since coming on. Dorgu's use of the ball is very disappointing though.

Those crosses from the corner of the box are so easy to defend...
