Fair point. With an actual midfield the system might actually work better. But by shoehorning Bruno into a position he’s no good in it’s asking for trouble.

That’s before we even get into the fact that the midfield options are by and large rubbish.

Shaw and Bruno have been absolutely awful today and both will finish the match. That alone says it all. The subs have made us much worse because he took off the only one of the back 3 with pace to bring on his goal threat in Maguire rather than actually make the call to sub Bruno off for Zirkzee
