Building my first PC,got a neck issue so trying to learn as much as i can so i can physically do it as fast as i can…..

    Specs:

    Ryzen 7 5700G
    RX 7600 GPU
    B550 motherboard
MSI MAG A850GL PCIE5 Power Supply Unit, 850W, 80 Plus Gold, Fully Modular, ATX 3.0, PCIe 5.0 GPU Support, Black Flat Cables, 7 Year Warranty

    G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series (Intel XMP) DDR4 RAM 32GB (2x16GB)

FOIFKIN F300 case(comes with fans so i dont have to buy another case fan?)-Im not sure this is correct?
    ITB SSD

    Coming in at 700 pounds

Anyone any input as to if these are good prices/parts?I done as much homework as i can and I'm very sure all parts are compatible(used chat gpt tbh)

All parts coming from amazon UK

The USB BIOS flashing has me worried tbh…..seems this is the hardest part to do…..Can i go into the BIOS after build and do this?Having a MOBO exposed powered up is so weird to me,seems so wrong

Id appreciate any help or suggestion's as im far from comfortable building this atm

    Thanks

You can flash the BIOS at any point, assembled or not.

They're probably just doing so early on in case the CPU isn't supported by the stock revision, and may need to be temporarily swapped.

Ah thats eased my mind,i appreciate it……do you think i need a case fan at all?i dont think i do what will all the fans pre-installed on the case but what do i know really?

Do you mean more case fans? That case comes with 4, which is a bit minimal.

You don't mention a CPU cooler though, do you intend to stick with the bundled Wraith Stealth cooler?

Yes sorry i meant more case fans,i was under the impression i didnt neeed any more fans as case come with enough and yes for the CPU cooler the one that come with the ryzen 7 i was going to use…..is this not good enough?

The Wraith Spire is basic, and gives basic cooling. It's bundled for free for a reason. You may want to look at getting something like a Thermalright Phantom Spirit for around €45. @K.O.Kiki may have better recommendations, he's more aware of the state of fan based CPU cooling than I.

No point going with Ryzen 5700G if you're adding a GPU. Ryzen 5600 has double the L3 cache (32MB vs 16MB) and that translates into better performance.

If you want a better cooler, Thermalright Burst Assassin 120 SE is only 20eur. Though having said that, I installed one for my friend the other day and the mounting bracket was a PITA! So I will suggest Thermalright AXP90-X53 or SI-100 instead. Can install outside the case and then lift the whole thing into the case.

Talking of case, never heard of FOIFKIN, sounds like another made-up Chinese brand with no support. NZXT H3 Flow looks good.

Power supply: You don't need 850W, and MSI MAG are not good. Get a be quiet Pure Power 12/13M or Corsair RM (whichever is cheaper on the day). 550W-650W is fine.

Wow-Thank you for all the info, gonna rip up my list so and just get what you suggest as price coming in around the same…..I was under the impression that standard size atx MOBO,GPUS and cases are just easier to work with and for future proofing because they have more slots etc, could i use all your recommendations still for standard size parts, cases etc or is that just non sensical?…What case fan do you suggest for the NZXT H3 Flow?

    Thanks

The days of needing add-in cards are pretty much over.

On-board audio is decent, and if you need an upgrade your USB-connected headsets/speakers have their own DACs. Or you can get a USB-connected amp.

Network and even WiFi are built in.

Video capture/TV tuner cards have been replaced by the internet.

    SCSI is dead...

    Anyway, excuse the tangent!

You can certainly fit a micro-ATX motherboard into a larger ATX case. I just figured a smaller model is easier for you to lug around.

For case fan, can't really go wrong with Thermalright TL-C14C at €7 (colour choice is yours) https://amzn.eu/d/aukCbxW
