    Hey,

I havent built a pc in over 20 years but the daughter wants a pc so said I will give it a shot!

Her only 'want' is that Dead by Daylight plays at the highest quality without issues! I dont see this being a problem but I want to build something that can handle future titles! Budget is €1,000 or less. Pcpartpicker says that the Bios may need to be updated but everything else is compatible.

This is what I came up with yesterday after a few hours of searching:

    PCPartPicker Part List: https://ie.pcpartpicker.com/list/yGdFVF

    CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7500F 3.7 GHz 6-Core OEM/Tray Processor (€182.97 @ Computer Orbit )
CPU Cooler: Thermalright Assassin X 120 Refined SE 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler (€29.37 @ Computer Orbit )
Motherboard: MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard (€206.94 @ Paradigit )
    Memory: Crucial CT16G48C40U5 16 GB (1 x 16 GB) DDR5-4800 CL40 Memory (€75.99 @ Currys PC World )
    Storage: MSI SPATIUM M470 PRO 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive (€81.94 @ Paradigit )
Video Card: MSI SHADOW 2X OC GeForce RTX 5060 8 GB Video Card
Case: Montech X3 Mesh ATX Mid Tower Case (€72.10 @ Computer Orbit )
Power Supply: be quiet! System Power 9 400 W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply
    Total: €649.31
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Already picked up the motherboard (€120 on Amazon Warehouse) and SSD for €58, also off Amazon. I plan on picking up items if I see they have price dropped, she doesnt need it for another few weeks. Any savings I make, I plan on putting into the CPU as I think it is the weakest area?? Will also pick up another stick of 1 x 16gb DDR5 down the road.

Would appreciate any help for a pc builder coming out of retirement!

    Thanks,

    Branners

    PCPartPicker Part List: https://ie.pcpartpicker.com/list/pMjNMC

    CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600 3.8 GHz 6-Core Processor (€182.68) (Amazon.ie)
Motherboard: MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard (Purchased For €120.00)
    Memory: Patriot Viper Venom 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory (€92.95) (Amazon.ie)
Storage: MSI SPATIUM M470 PRO 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive (Purchased For €58.00)
Video Card: ASRock Challenger OC Radeon RX 9060 XT 16 GB Video Card (€400.99 @ Paradigit )
Case: Deepcool CC360 ARGB MicroATX Mini Tower Case (€55.99 @ Paradigit )
Power Supply: be quiet! Pure Power 12 650 W 80+ Gold Certified ATX Power Supply (€92.99 @ Paradigit )
    Total: €1003.60 + shipping

Which is slightly over-budget (and with the standard AMD Wraith Stealth cooler). But CPU coolers from Thermalright are only 20-25eur so…
Ryzen 7600 / 7500F are fine gaming CPUs though, at most I'd upgrade to 9600X.

Build has 32GB fast RAM in a matched set and the RX 9060 XT 16GB, which is 10% faster + has double the VRAM so should theoretically last longer than RTX 5060.

400W PSU is not enough for a build like this.

Many thanks, really appreciate the effort.

Will try and take your recommendations on board.

I picked up a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 Digital ARGB White CPU Air Cooler for €35 yesterday.

If I can't stretch to the €400 for the graphics is there anything decent for €300?

I see Cex sell video cards, would they be worth looking at or should I stick with new?

Back to your original choice, RTX 5060 8GB for €289 https://amzn.eu/d/6kAXIMZ

Faster than anything CEX has at this price.
