Where would we be without Australian

Young people want, and can afford to travel the world now (not just Australia) which was not always the case. It's no longer a one way ticket. On average 75% of them do return home once they get the travel bug out of their system.

If they've got qualifications and experience maybe it will be. If it's in creative writing or media studies then probably better to stay home.

A lot of them are probably on a holiday work visa which lasts for a year.

we have a pretty much net zero emigration rate,all or most of them return.

Without Australian I'd have to drink Argentinian.

You would be surprised what you'd drink.

Australian,s are leaving Australia for the same reasons people here are leaving, unaffordable housing. Also very strict laws.

They still go to the UK as they have been for decades. You also have to realise that Australia is mostly empty of people. The claim the place is multi-cultural seems at odds with their emigration and asylum policies. Canada seems to be really multi-cultural.

Was'nt the case when my cousin went there 40 years ago. It has changed now of course.

This reminded me of what Karl Pilkingto said about Australia.
