For he spake unto his disciples,

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’ But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. Unless they're a Dem communist. Then, fúck them."

    — Jesus H. Christ

I did have similar thoughts seeing how Trump had Poland's president in the Oval Office on the 3rd of this month on an official visit.

The world has gone crazy. People have a dopamine addition to social media that is infecting main stream media.

I am on BBC now and the headlines are Trump/Kirk, Mandelson/Epstein and Harry/Charles tea. Jaysus. Poland/NATO just got attacked by the Russian dictator and you have to scroll to find it.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?

Trump bemoans the violent rhetoric in politics in the US, immediately after calling the Left "radical" and responsible for political violence.

He is a disingenuous sh1t stirrer, who knows that rather than address a problem, it is easier to jangle a set of keys in front of his cultists and blame matters on someone else.

The most divisive and harmful SOB to ever sit in that chair.

And speaking of death… when the time comes for Trump Snr to shake off his mortal coil, I will be posting here, and I can tell ye all now, so you can get your pearls ready, my post at the time won't take any f**king prisoners, and I won't give two sh1ts what you say, because I know that between now and then, those that will take issue with me, won't have posted one f**king criticism of how rampantly and gleefully destroyed millions of lives within that timeframe.

That happened yesterday and has been clicked to the point here is no more revenue or interest out of it.

I'm sure the media will be hoping the shooter will not be found for a week.

Similar to the Pharma Exec who was gunned down.

If the shooter is found soon, come Monday you'll struggle to remember the lads name. If you put a gun to my head I could not name the shooter or the Pharma Exec.

Yes: Richard Dawkins, Frank Gehry, Tom Hanks, James Watson. Not some venomous, vile MAGA piece of trash.

When Trump dies, there will be a very, very long line of people queueing up to piss on his grave.

    How low can you go.

Comparing Charlie Kirk to Mr.Beast. Thats quite an attack on the mans legacy.

I'd guess that his message went over your head but clearly resonated with a lot of people around the world.

In a world full of political violence he had a great message and purpose. He wanted people who disagree to talk rather than go for violence.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,707 ✭✭✭FAILSAFE 00

And so that means its okay to shoot the guy with a rifle in the neck.

You don't like what he said. His words. He has an opinion that you dislike.

    So its grand.

Because there is always the next one and it almost a shrug of the shoulders. Apparently even if there is a mass shooting at a school. The sales of guns in America go up not down.

Contrast to Ireland unarmed police bar special branch. Keeping control not requiring to be constantly armed,
And if there is anyone murdered it is remembered even decades later. Because it is so rare.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Being stopped from buying a house isn't the same as deciding we must have a certain number of black students at Harvard or a certain number of black engineers etc.

The only qualification for buying a house is can you afford to buy it , that's it.

If you have quota system for certain degree or jobs what happens is the people who are given the opportunity they don't deserve on merit end up failing their course work and either the college has to make the course work easier so they're not embarrassed by so many people failing who aren't there on merit and you end up having a lower standard of people who pass courses.

There is now direct discrimination against Asian Americans in American universities because merit based admission is not applied.

No he didn't. He advocated for and justified political violence against the left. The left, which is the only thing stopping the US from turning into an anarcho-capitalist shithole run by facsist tech-bros and a rapist criminal.

Respectfully, he is simply not a well-known figure outside of America unless you're actively engaged in watching US political content, and even then his content was just one of many similar types.

Also, what he wanted to talk about, was taking away people's rights and lambasting women for wanting to have careers and not just rolling straight from school into the maternity ward to have children.

The simple fact is, unless you were searching for his type of content, most people outside of the US did not see it on any kind of regular basis to know who he was.

Something that hasn't been discussed so far (understandably) is how the search for the shooter has been monumentally bungled so far.

To arrest one suspect and release him without charge in the immediate aftermath is one thing.

But it's quite another for the head of the FBI to publicly announce the arrest of ANOTHER suspect only to release him soon after. It's obviously not wise to make these public announcements without being certain you've got the right guy. And obviously every hour that goes by without capturing him makes finding him more complicated.

    I would expect nothing less.

Him getting caught out operating a fake Twitter account posing as black woman critical of Kamala Harris was hilarious.

    Well put.

In all of the aftermath, one side of this political argument has double down on the hate and vitriol. Not surprising really.

The fact that the USA is so polarized around MAGA issues doesn't mean that every disturbed person falls into one of two camps. People are capable of psychopathic violence related to trivial issues that seem of great importance in their twisted minds: slights they received, failure to get a job, divorce issues, a harsh review of their sculpture, the queues in Walmart, a bad haircut. For all we know Kirk could have been murdered because he didn't leave a tip or because of his views on the french fries in Smashburger.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,337 ✭✭✭✭Boggles

Are you taking about that absolute hate monger or Mr. Beast?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 905 ✭✭✭Vudgie

You're OK with a human being with a wife and kids being shot at a public meeting? That's really worrying and disturbing. I have no time for his brand of politics at all but I certainly wouldn't want to see someone murdered like that…..you're disturbed man.

Yeah, I wouldn’t have known who Kirk was a couple of weeks ago. Until I happened on analysis of a debate he did in Oxford. Which focused on debating style.

The BBC and SKY both said Kirk was not well known to non-Americans. But had a large following among the young right leaning conservatives in America.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

He was shot with a hunting rifle thats sold legally around the world.

Its quite messed up to be cool with his death because he supported the 2nd ammendment. Last i checked the majority of Americans do as crazy as it sounds to us here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,014 ✭✭✭✭Tony EH

    Both are VERY Christian.

    Mmmmm…yeah, they sound it.

    😕

He was clueless on how to debate. I was bemused as to why he had such a large following.

None of these types can actually debate anything. They can only repeat mantras to an audience that already believes the mantras. When they are up against someone that can counter their points they tend to fall apart like a soaking wet piece of toilet paper.

They have large followings because their YouTube channels tell a certain type the shite they want to hear. That's their grift. When they come up against, even easy, opposition they're all at sea.

Ben Shapiro was another one of these right wing big mouths. Went to pieces when he was asked a few simple questions by Andrew Neil a few years ago and started accusing Neil of being a leftie, then ran home with his tail between his legs.

I've made it pretty clear multiple times that I think it's terrible that he was shot and don't remotely condone it.

Riddle me this, what are the benefits of someone being able to walk in off the street and buy an automatic rifle?

    FREEDOM!!! 🇺🇸

Where was the outrage from the right when there were actual lawmakers assassinated in June?

Did Trump condemn this brutal killing during a live speech from the oval office.?

    Bunch of fuckin hypocrites.

    Kirk… perfect example of FAFO
