Elephant in the room! When I planned to buy a van to convert to camper, part of my plan was to rent it out most of the time as I knew I would only use it occasionally myself. There are even organisations here in Ireland who will handle all that for you.

The problem unfortunately is insurance. My campervan insurance allows only me to drive it. So I have no issue renting it out to anyone, but they need their own insurance. And I don't know if that is even possible / feasible. Potentially just transferring their own car insurance onto the campervan for the duration of the rental. But that would leave their own car uninsured

Maybe someone can convince me this can be overcome. In that case I would rather keep it and rent it out now and then. But because the renting was out, and my wife not liking the big white van being parked in front of the house, I put it up for sale…

I'm with Dolmen/Axa and it has open driving on the policy for 25 to 70 year olds, I don't recall been offered anything else with just me named.

I have open drive through richardsons (lhk) I think noq but the open drive specifically excludes for hire or reward. I'd imagine most are the same so you'd be taking a bit of a risk if relying on it.

This was actually on my short list, as I was looking for a cheap Leaf. I had you on my call list to see if a deal could be done.The mileage was a bit higher than I wanted though, so I looked further afield. It's not badly priced. It's just tough to sell the Leaf. Ended up snagging a 2015 Tekna for €4k and 50k less klms. Collecting this week....unseen 😮.

I have a couple of Tesla Model S freebies.

Brand new centre console cubby tray drawer for LHD. Didn't realise it was a LHD part. THIS is the part.

A black set of Model S carpet floor mats (front and rear) black. Used, but in great condition. They came with the car from the dealer and look new. I bought an easy clean set online, so these aren't needed.
