Re the Punchestown gig, going against the grain here but I was quite disappointed with it. It lacked audience participation as most of the songs were not exactly ones you could join in. I probably wasn't fully into Kid A at the time either. I watched the RDS gig back (thanks poster for the link) and it looked amazing in comparison. I remember watching them (on tv!) in Glastonbury 2017 and was blown away. After such a gap the appetite to see them again is well and truly whetted!

It's obviously taking a while for the texts to come through - I'm waiting over 3hrs at this stage.

Says 2 hour wait on website for response

My recollection is that the Kid A songs were new to most people at it, including myself, and it seemed like a lot of people disengaged while they played them. -Which was fair enough because they were very different to what they probably came to listen to. But RH played plenty from their back catalogue too, so I wouldn't have thought there was reason to be disappointed, regardless of your opinion on their new style.

I think your view on their "Best" gig will depend a lot on which material / era is your favourite. I am a Kid A / Amniesiac obsessive so Punchestown really brought the album to life for me. If you are more of a Bends / OKC fan then RDS will probably be your number 1.

Somebody mentioned the olympia gigs and I actually had forgotten them - the HTTT material was epic on that tour too.

I'm also against the grain, but maybe as this was the day after Gaillimh lost to Kerry in the replay I might not have been in the best of moods. Saw them at Castlegar, great show, and in 1995 they were one of the support acts to REM at Milton Keynes, sandwiched between Sleeper and The Cranberries. That was some gig. Didn't get home until 4 the next morning and had to be in Heathrow at 7 to catch a flight back to Dublin, then Gaillimh for "the races" ! Couldn't do it now!

a group of 12 i am in with, a few in Ireland, London & Madrid, we all registered just after 10 am, 5 of those have yet to get a text or email, so it is very slow due to the massive volume and they did advise it would take up to 10 hours if i recall.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 13,040 ✭✭✭✭Electric Nitwit

If it's down to the volume registering it's not a great sign 😬

Maybe all the texts are being sent manually by Thom & Jonny! 😀

I have received any text or email yet and I registered this morning.

I got my text after 5 hours. It was flagged as "likely scam" on my phone so maybe check your spam folder if you have such a thing on your phone.

AXS are by far the worst ticket vendor on the planet.

If you think Ticketmaster are bad well these guys are infinitely worse.

If by luck you do get a code you then have to try and buy on AXS system which hasnt fixed the eircode bug on its site for years, it looks for an invalid format.

Then it will block Irish cards.

    Awful awful site.

Did you register using an Irish number and choose London as closest venue?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33 Sideview

I know I'm going to sound like a crayture asking this. But did ye put the first 'zero' of your mobile number in or not?

I didn't, based on the below and normal practice.

' In the UK (+44), ensure you do not input the first zero in your phone number.'

I registered around noon today and haven't received a text yet.

**Edit Text message arrived. You do not put in the 0. +353 86.... Is correct.

It will only accept it without the 0 anyway.

Leaving this post in case anyone else is wondering.

Yes was going to use UK number but went with Ireland as initial registration asked my location so put Dublin and chose London as venue

Wow I haven't looked at that set list ever and I have no recollection of the second encore, but what a great set!

just 2 of our group of 12 never received a text, one is in Ireland, one in London, weird.

Most registered around 10 am yesterday, with two registering in late afternoon, both of these late ones, got texts and emails,

some say their location came up on the 2nd page after where you enter your email, others had no location showing. Can’t see any obvious logic to it.

Of course the 10 successful registrations, still doesent mean we are guaranteed to get any unlock codes, but hopefully we will get a few.
