Hi guys. Maybe someone here could help point me in the right direction if what I’m thinking about is even possible or if not maybe suggest an alternative. I’d be grateful for any help or suggestions.

Basically I have an NVR in my garage (separate building about a 50m cable run from the data coms room in the house). There are currently 4 cameras connected to this NVR (8 channel) all located around or in the garage. I have a cat 6 running to the garage in a duct to an access point that the NVR is connected to which gives me remote access to view these cameras. I want to move the NVR into the data com room in the house. I have a spare cat 6 running back to here. Is it possible to put a 4 port POE switch in the garage to pick up the 4 cameras and send them back to the NVR into the house on the spare cat 6? I’d like to add 2 more cameras to this NVR that would be wired back directly into the comms room aswell.

Sorry it’s a long winded post. Is what I’d like to do even possible? If not it would involve running more cat 6 in the duct back from the garage which wouldn’t be ideal.
