loyalty and general are Wednesday. Will be sold out by Thursday I’d say

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,296 ✭✭✭✭drunkmonkey

I’d say so, it seems to gain more than it loses year on year…

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,726 ✭✭✭Fanirish

yeah and no alternative festival competing with similar big names.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 604 ✭✭✭Dutchy

Are they planning to up the attendance next year again (80k in '25)? My major gripe about this year were the crowds - absolutely wedged at times. Might be a deal breaker for some

Think Melvin said not next year but didn't rule out future increases

Does anyone know how many Sunday tickets are usually released? I didn't notice too many "fresh" looking people on Sunday and also didn't think there were as many families there as before. I wonder are they now going to Kalidescope instead?

The festival seems to have changed a bit this year with so many people heading down on Thursday.

I paid €310.50 per ticket this morning but I think that ship may have sailed if, as people are saying, the 3+ presale is sold out now.

I would have preferred an instalment plan but don't think that was an option with 3+ and didn't want to risk waiting for general when the tickets were there in front of me this morning so a few weeks of hardship ahead and then I'll be glad it'll be a sunk cost

Back home with camping stuff washed and clothes sorted in a heap.

Enjoyable weekend even if the weather was tryigng to interfere. We have a large gang and stayed in Pinkmoon. Cathing up on the posts I think I'd have more issues with pinkmoon than the festival site. Our tents were old and mine had cigarette burns in the floor, damaged zipper toggles and crap still in side pockets from previous outing. The toilets at the far end appeared to have been out of commision several times due to no water. Housekeeping on the site was poor with loads of cans etc thrown around. Granted thats punters being filthy but cleanup was slow. There alse seemed to be no policing at night with speakers going full tilt at 0500. I tune it out and stick in earplugs so it didn't bother me and commenst are merely observations. It did its job and we were all dry and had a great time but for the price the basic standards have been steadily slipping over the years. I dodn't even want to begin to do the maths on how much we have paid them over the years.

Onto the festival - I enjoyed it but I didn't find as many little nuggets as I have before on the smaller stages. Ones that I ejoyed that I knew little about but was inpressed were For Those I Love, No Fun (complete with The Edge and his bodygaurd in the crowd), Self Esteem and the mental Marc Ribbelet who was probably the set of the weekend for me and I know nothing about house, techno or whatever genre it is. He is serisously talented and a great performer. Others Hilltop Hoods, BCNR, Winemom

Had to catch Frank & Walters in Fishtown, great set even if sound wasn't the best. I was made to attend the main stage a few times for the end of a few to show face with other members of the group and thanksfully I couldn't hear Dermot singing as the crowd was so so loud. The orchestra and band were super. Lots more that I can't remeber at the moment.

Crowds - definitley busier around Three, Electric and the Main Stage. It's to be expected with numbers going up and not sure what they could do. Ideally at opposite locations but the site layout doesn't work for that. Aside from being busy I found that once you got in a bit sapce opened up but it could look off putting when you arrive.

TLDR - great weekend but for the first time in I don't know how many years I have a question mark about 2026. Never been to ATN but I am wondering about hitting Isle of Wight or a few others in the UK for a change. I'll propably still by tickets just in case.

BTW - how does the campervan thing work? Are they onsale the same day? What are the facilities like in the campervan fields? Showers? Toilets? Black water disposal etc??

Hope all made it home safe and sound and for those still hurting a good nights sleep will do wonders.

Don't do general Sunday tickets any more. Only residents and artists etc.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 414 ✭✭Peterd66

Campervan on sale the same day. Last year was a huge improvement in facilities but no showes. Toilets, water disposal etc. there. Tends to be quieter and a little more civilised. Only thing I'd say is if you want leave early Sunday evening or night, you may be stuck as "roads" between vans is narrow and if people have awnings etc up, they get blocked.

deffo a chunk of people leaving leaving and selling/giving wristbands away hence a good few fresh faces

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,296 ✭✭✭✭drunkmonkey

Ah it wasn't really, if you wanted to be upfront or a good view just appear earlier, I though it was quiter except for the main stage, No bother getting ring side for the wrestling on Sunday.

    Hi all

Home alive, I'm aching, getting old! Report to come, need a nap, I'm on the scrounge for a loyalty by the way if anyones not using theirs, I have one but the son is looking for tickets, cheers

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,706 ✭✭✭traco

Thanks for that. Good info to know. As I was rolling out about 0930 this morning I was looking into the campervan field and there wasn't much sign of movement. I'd not be a happy camper if I was blocked in.

Pity there isn't a few weeks breathing space before you have to book for next year. I feel like I'm being hustled and that's my only real gripe with the festival.

Good weekend. Left early yesterday evening as there just wasn't much on that interested us and after being there since thursday we were just ready to crash into bed and recharge.

Seemed to be a good few leaving early and heard mixed reports about last night. Sunday night headliners were just too weak.

In saying that rest of the weekend was excellent, thought fatboy slim was brilliant, puts on a good show and had the place going for his set. Kneecap although they aren't my cup of tea are good performers so enjoyed that.

Plenty of smaller acts seen over the weekend, good vibe in salty.

Random came across Neven Maguire playing a DJ set in theatre of food which was really good fun.

However yesterday did feel an awful lot busier than the other days. There was times were the site felt packed. Rave in the woods Saturday night dangerous full.

We've decided to give EP a miss next year. Hopefully return in 2027 but at this stage a break might do us good

The definatley need to add a physio stage to the line up….I was very close to calling one this morning…

Anyone catch The Fynches at the Salty Dog last night ? Didn't realise it until a girl next to me said it - the lead singer is the bloke from Sing Street (a firm favourite flick in my house at Christmas ). Best described as 70's influenced folk rock and were a decent appetiser before bell xi

From prior years, are Loyalty tickets hard to get?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,726 ✭✭✭Fanirish

I didn’t get my Loyalty 3 + tickets last year until 75 minutes after they went onsale last year. and i was in waiting room, loggedin etc well before the 9am sale time, so have to be patient and stay with it.

I’ve never “not” got Loyalty tickets, and as this year was 5th visit, i’ve bought them 4 times.

    General EP 2025 review:

Still a great festival, noticeable crowd increase, but has limited impact on me as was only at main stage just the once, for the Cranberries. Food choice, a little pricey, but most of what i got was quite good quality.

Still has great act variety, too many to mention, but i like a mix of the new and unfamilar stuff, as well as the tribute bands etc

Eco for 1st time this year, but it has been moved too far away for me, i reckon it was 2.5 km from Eco, to my car in Red, and i had to do 2 x return trips both in and out, thats 20 kms alone , just in Eco to Car - journeys.

if Blue carpark had been open, that would have been down to about 10km or less, for those same journeys, as its so very close to Eco, and i really felt the 90,000 steps over 4 days, albeit somewhat self inflicted though as i don’t travel light, and cooler is big, but its essential, i left for the first time of 5 EP visits, on Sunday at 5pm, mainly due to exhaustion !! . so Eco might be more suitable to lighter packers.

I’l probably go back to Pink Moon next year.

We were in eco too and parked in Red like you said walk was ridiculous. We went out on Sunday with few bits to lighten the load for today and it took 40mins. We were dreading the walk out today, don't think we'll go back to eco looking at how to work the campervan area😃 or just not go back

Showers, toilets and black water disposal were all in Campervan B, same as last year, although there were way more showers this year.

    Snarky Snark Snark

I'll throw up the 2026 thread later, I have thoughts though.

    • fanirish for what ever people think of them made a point either last year or the year before that the fest has now got a bad rep with international indie acts. I'd be shocked if Self Esteem or Just Mustard ever graced Stradbally again for the piss poor turnouts they got, I understand bands want to be paid but I cannot see them wanting to play to the vast emptiness. The main stage absolutely sucked the living **** out of the (now just two) tents where good quality acts were playing. That's not healthy.
    • They've put a lot of effort in to the non main stage areas, in around 6 bars, providencia etc, you could merrily spend the fest out there with Salty, Jerry and Survivor and never need to enter the main arena, that's not what we're paying for though.
    • Crowd control, it's getting fcuking lethal, those things don't obey the laws of physics and if there was a stampede, then many will be crushed. I as a chap well north of 110Kg had issues moving through the crowd, lord knows what it's like for kids and smaller people. The never ending chain of teens and people who should know better just barging through the crowd has never been worse.
    • Price gouging, take your sh1tty 18 yoyo pizza, put it on your willy and spin it to pretend it's helicopter rotors in action.
    • Constant recycling of acts, aka saw doctors, kneecap (just cynical, **** cynical)
    • Irish people in crowds, just a bunch of dirty scrotes chucking their waste everywhere
    • Food choices, **** me, eddie rockets & supermacs, the **** high point of international cuisine right there lads.

I found enough (just) to keep me busy, **** loved sexy tadhg, viagra boys, TCM, self esteem, just mustard and I enjoyed Norman and will hold my head up for having done so.

Also caught For those I love (liked a lot more than I'd have thought), BCNR (odd, very odd, like a bunch of demented geography and drama teachers let loose on what ever the gardai confiscated from the scrotes that day), Sam Fender (not terrible, but like, why?), barry can't swim (it's nice music, but I don't get the hype).

The mid tier should be great for a fest of its size, it was grim, grimmer than I thought.

As a nation, we deserve it to be honest.
