A Palestinian state would be like a halting site run by the Taliban.

And I’m probably doing a disservice to the travelling community here.

It almost certainly would be which is why if Israel had even the slightest bit of cop on and weren't such scumbags as a country they'd simply let the Palestinians have their own state completely wall it off from Israel and have zero connection with them (no trade, no travel etc) and let them ruin their own lives rather than doing it to them. However the Israelis appear to get a strange sense of enjoyment out of them personally making the Palestinians lives miserable.

Well said. The Israeli economy relies in a major way on the cheap labour that Palestinians can provide in order to get jobs done that Israelis won’t do. It’s a sick marriage that needs to end in divorce as soon as possible.

Great idea. Surprised nobody has thought of it before.

Simon Harris is monitoring the situation...

I was delighted to again seen Celtic fall on their hole last night. I don't know what it is but they've become a very unlikable club for a while now. Then again maybe they've always been.

I wanted Kairat to go through, it's a great story and the novelty of having a team so far away in europe is great.

The SPL is a complete embarrassment of a competition, only 2 teams have won it for 40 years, only 2 teams even make an attempt at winning it and of the 2 only Celtic are actually even run with the mildest degree of competence.

also it's a perfect competition to try a kind of salary cap and profit sharing arrangement and try and make it competitive in as the 2 big clubs are never going to win the Champions League (unlike Bayern or PSG) so what good is being so dominant domestically when that's all you'll achieve, just seems like it exist in order to perpetuate a tedious rivalry between Celtic and Rangers.

It's amazing that it still gets pretty good attendances considering how dull a competition it is.

    It's the low-IQ rah-head fanbase which I can't stand.

    I'm partial to your abracadabra,

I'm raptured by the joy of it all.

The people have been fúcked around with and traumatised for so long it could never be anything like a functional democratic state.

That surrounding Arab countries are loathe to admit Palestinians tells its own story.

The mutual hate has been baked-in, for both sides it's eliminate or be eliminated at this stage.

You'd struggle to find a mosre delusional fan base than them to be fair. They really think they're some sort of superpower. When Brendan Rodgers left to go the Leicester the abuse he got was something else. Yet the FA Cup he won was probably a bigger achievement than what he won with Celtic.

Don't even get me started on Irish Celtic fans….

Despite all the money Celtic trow at it Rangers have made more of an impact than them in Europe.

I'm be in somewhat agreement with the Celtic stuff.

Probably controversial but I always think it's an awful pity they didn't merge the SPL and the EPL during the early 00s. It was mooted for a while but nothing come to pass.

As shite as it is now there was a period where CEL/RANGERS geniunely had top class teams.

Only some of the "far right" marches are by people who want a better Ireland, many of their numbers are Irish women who were expecting free gaffs & benefits from the state now find themselves in the queue behind foreigners.

Pretty hilarious that the media & controlled social media now label these scroungers right wing, when they were very happy to be left wing when they got to sponge off the welfare state.

In my opinion the Schools hot meals scheme is a waste of money. It costs about €288 million per annum to run now. That money could be put to much better use. A significant amount of that money is being dumped in the bin every school day.

I'd much prefer that money being used to invest in school infrastructure (imagine how many schools could have their own top quality kitchens) or into schemes focused on the small minority of children living in poverty with drug with drug addict parents.

Actually they were left wing all along, left wing when they were expecting free stuff, left wing now when they expect the state to implement protective policies to protect their place in the queue. And funnily enough, shortening the welfare queue by removing foreigners will make Ireland a better place.

Also, there is nothing wrong with being right wing. Right wing policies made Ireland one of the best countries in the world - or at least right wing policies is what pays for all the free stuff Ireland offers to anyone with their hand out.

And unfortunately the groups that get to represent the Palestinian people have no problem poking Israel with a stick expecting a horrible response. It’s almost as if they don’t have the people as their top priority.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,171 ✭✭✭purifol0

Indeed the demonization of the term right wing now just far-right was part of the plan all along. Left wing = good guys, right = bad.

This has worked wonders on young people because they haven't had to earn money for themselves and watch as the state and it's apparatchiks take it off them and gives them **** all back.

Right wing - simply means I keep what I earn.

Left wing - state takes more of my stuff and gives it to itself and anyone else it needs to pay off to stay in power.

    We are sliding into communism

Yes because young people don't work and earn money.

Right wing - simply means I keep what I earn.

This is beyond simplistic, you wouldn't even find this in a right wing for Dummies book.

Sliding into, does this mean I need to stop listening to people who say we're already communist?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,481 ✭✭✭ShagNastii

In terms of the whole "left wing/right wing" thing.

I'd love to actively become involved in some protests but there is no room for middle ground in Irish protest. Like the French where everyone can get behind a grievance.

When voting I'd often measure myself on what side do I want to be on. Everyone one of these "left wing/right wing" types I know are more often than not complete bellends that I have little to no interest in standing with.

    What's your definition of young?

Also what's your definition of right wing?

Have you mixed up conservative and right wing?

Have you mixed up left wing for progressive?

Would you call Marx right wing because he opposed mass immigration?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,171 ✭✭✭purifol0

Yep, we've become polarized into believing you can only.be one or the other. Nuance is not tolerated by the new "left wing".

You say you're all for high social spending and the taxes that come with it, but if you don't comply to the dogma that men can be women, they'll call you far right.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,131 ✭✭✭Burt Renaults

Many of those who attend far-right marches are fundamentally decent, hard working people. Very few of them are well educated - which is why it's so easy to make them punch downwards. If they didn't blame 'foreigners' for society's ills, they might blame the rich. And we can't be having that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,171 ✭✭✭purifol0

The protests weren't just about mass immigration. It was mostly about housing. Plenty of that has been bought up by the govt. itself.

I never posted about the hard workers at the protests because that's not something that's controversial, I specifically posted about the women at them that were only there because they wanted the freebies the foreigners were now getting.

And whenever men criticize women that's always controversial because women will always side with each other and most men are simps.

    Next up:

    Free Birth control!

Now not only do women get more free stuff then us men, they also get brainwashed to boot.

Giving hormones to women as a one size fits all contraceptive is such a bad idea and often highly detrimental to their mental and physical health. Doctors have zero issues lobbing high dosages into women without a care, and women often don't realize the damage done until they come off them and switch to alternatives like an internal coil.

Couple that with the fact that our drinking water is not screened for these hormones means that it's poisoning men too! Sperm counts and testosterone at record lows but I sure as hell am not expecting a live line debate on that
