i do understand costs of touring are spiraling, but theres a point where prices are just fcuking taking the p1ss!

To be fair, I got 2 Metallica tickets for less than what I paid for one upper Cusack ticket for later today so I don't think Metallica need to be thrown into that mix!

On the train, nearly in Dublin. Have a great show everyone!

That was epic. We were in lower Hogan. Just amazing from start to finish. For those going later, enjoy every minute!

Would it be possible to get an album of their concert from Croke park?

I work most stadiums. Gigs and matches. I'm going to tonight's gig. It's health and safety. Risk. Stops potential throwing of cans. As someone who's worked most big venues in ireland. What else did you expect to be honest?

We've just attended a historic gig and people complaing about beer prices. Mind boggling

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,708 ✭✭✭✭The Nal

Especially when they've paid 500 quid for a ticket.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 973 ✭✭✭FazyLucker

Yeah, I agree. Anybody who was there for the music loved it and had a ball. I had no interest in being fleeced for 7.50 for a half pint of Rockshore and therefore didn't but each to their own.

Concerts are about the experience, the music, the comradery. All of this was top-notch last night. I'd be afraid to go tonight because inevitably I'd be saying "last night was better" if it was.

Go and have a blast tonight people and tell us how it was tomorrow. In the meantime, just fng Roll With It….

Then stay away from the kiosks around 311-312. People from the pitch will be there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,262 ✭✭✭Mike3549

But those people won't be missing a gig. €7.50 cans were sold on the pitch.

Only people who wanted full size pints or other drinks had to leave the pitch.

Don't understand how people could leave the area basically for 20 mins mid headliner for a drink, madness.

Even in Marlay/Kilmainham/festivals or indoors in the point or the smaller venues you always have a view of the stage at standing level but to walk outside the arena basically in Croker is crazy, hard to understand really, but Paddy has to have his pint to enjoy the music.....

any update on the passes or gates etc. Whole family (minus me at work) are on route on foot but some more anxious than others to get passes which is causing it’s own anxiety 🤣

well fcuk it anyway, that's me out. Can't get a ticket. Must be cursed as gigs I had no interest in going ( got tickets wife / niece - Coldplay / Taylor etc) - landed decent tickets first go.

The one time I want one - zero. Missed in the first code drop, didn't get second invite. the 90s / 00s oasis mems will have to stay as they are :-)

Also how the fcuk are there so many people from US / UK etc getting tickets - that 8am launch for Croker tickets was bad form.

P*ssed off now, going to local beer garden and getting the DJ to play Sad Song on loop and then later get me a tiktok account and watch some clown head to toe in adidas kit stream it live for me.

    Enjoy all

Great day. Great gig yesterday. Loved it.

My advice. Get loaded before you go in. Dance it off. Don't drink if you are standing because if you have to go to the toilets. You won't get back to your mates. If you are a women. Wear an adult nappy. I joke but, Seriously the pitch toilets system was a joke. Felt sorry for women.

We drank on Capel street. Mixture of pubs and cans from the shops. Walked down, in just before Richard. Then last each other because of the toilet situation.

Also, lot of beer throwing. Dopes for the amount they paid for it.

I’m exactly the same. Absolutely heartbroken after two months of trying to get tickets. Fought the urge to pay the €400/500s, starting to think I should have just forked it out.

Enjoy anyone that’s going - I’m green with jealousy.

A breeze to get in just now and grab wristbands for front standing, no queue at all. Loads of merch but running out of sizes in the Adidas gear. You can still grab a navy Firebird jacket and the long sleeve top in medium and large. Having a cheeky €8 pint of piss before the queues for the bar get bigger. Lovely day for it.

    Phenomenal day yesterday.

Got into Phibsborough around 3pm. Got a grand seat in the Brian Boru, Oasis tunes playing load, great atmosphere. Food there and a couple of drinks. Rambled down to Croker and in for 5pm. I was sitting, Lower Cusack in line with the pit wall.

The queue for the merch stand which was intended for the Cusack stand was mental because those standing were using it too. Even with a lengthy 30min queue they'd still loads of Adidas and event specific gear.

Queues for pints were grand at that point, got a few in for Cast in the sunshine. Toilet queues all good too. Cast were great for an opener, upbeat and enjoyable.

RA was immense. One of the best support acts I've seen. Just played the hits. It was excellent.

When he finished my wife went to use the toilet and trying to get a cubicle was like the last chopper out of Saigon - she was gone right up until Oasis started.

The atmosphere was sensational. Everyone around me were in great form, some nice chat with those there. Never had similar experience at a gig where everyone was just in a really content and enthusiastic mood. 'The Auld Trinagle' before 'F**kin' in the Bushes' kicked in was top - Felt like all of Croker enjoyed it.

Oasis were a different gravy. The set list is relentless. Hard to pick a favourite tune or performance they really nailed it. The stage and graphics are a great addition too.

Hope everyone going today enjoys it. Concerts at Croker tend to be hit & miss, but it was a huge hit for me yesterday and fingers crossed the same experience for all going to the gig later.

I know how you feel. I missed out on Coldplay tickets last year and was gutted. I’ve no interest in Oasis but a friend asked me to try get tickets for her. Got them in the presale for her and she had a ball last night. She said she’s never managed to get tickets for any decent band she liked, so I was glad I did manage to get them.

Last night really was biblical, will go down in folklore as one of the all time greatest Irish gigs.

Every song was amazing, sound was great, vocals were excellent.

First saw Oasis in 1997 in the Point when Liam didn’t show up and Noel did the gig. This brought me right back to those glory days.

We got there about 5.15pm and strolled in with no queues. Got front standing and set up to the right of the stage. Found the queue for the toilets fine for the most part.

Anyone understand the logic of being able to buy a cider, wine etc upstairs but not bring allowed to bring it on the pitch. Found it very puzzling and staff seemed quite bemused and apologetic telling us we couldn’t.

Anyone going tonight is in for a real treat!

I was at the 1997 gig. Only time I saw them before last night and it used to wreck my head that technically I actually never saw Oasis.

Lost interest in them post Be Here Now so was great to see Oasis finally. And a set list that reflected 90s Oasis.
