Any easy way to see if panel or 2 not producing? Seem to be down a bit for this weather. Have 10 panel and 8 panel string all south. s

Should solar current be higher if solar voltage is higher? Seems to be lower current on string 1 but higher voltage.

It's August, welcome to autumn (in PV terms)

Days are shorter, it's more comparable to April. But warmer.

Voltage should be different as you have different numbers of panels. But current should be similar-ish, which it is.

Voltage should be the same as panels VMax x number of panels.

Cheers man, yeah was thinking it would be like May on the graph but ya April makes more sense now I think of it. Lower amps but higher voltage for larger string was confusing me.

Even a bit less than April due to heat lowering voltage from the panels

Hey. Just looking for some advice in relation to my PV panels. New build home, in roughly 4 years. Only got access to the attic recently, and there is a fault light on what I assume is the inverter for the Panels. I have attached a pic of the panel and the fault. I have tried all the usual turn it off and on again etc. Contacted Cubic M3 who install these and was basically told we dont deal in residential blah blah blah. Would appreciate any advice or if someone knows who maintains or Services PV panels. Most companies seem to just want to install.

    Thabks

Are you getting that same voltage error during daylight or is it just at later evening when the sun is going down?

What brand and model is the inverter?

It seems to be this way all the time have checked it a few times and seems to be the same all the time.

Its called an OmniK. I can double check the model tommorow.

Its an OmniK Omnik New Energy OmniKsol-1k-TL2-M . The error seems to be constant.

Not sure on that model… you might need to find contacts locally if you can. 😕

Where on the island are you?

If you know how to use a multimeter, then disconnect the two PV inputs, and measure the voltage. Compare it to the specs on the label on the right hand side of the inverter.

Could be that it never worked, if the voltage was too low for the number of panels installed
