    The tide is turning.

Israel is already a pariah state among most right thinking people , but even a lot of those in the middle ground are turning against them.

History will not look back kindly on those who supported Israel at this time. I think the UK have finally wised up to this, hence Starmers recent decisions, and Germany too.

Its time they were totally ostracised around the world. Stop them competing in any sport, any Olympics, anything at all. Boycott every single item and service they sell. Let them and the US stand in the wilderness of public opinion on their own.

If it were sheer arrogance from

, it would a self parody.

But the ongoing annihilation of a people, it's chilling:

"They're not being pushed out, they’ll be allowed to exit. (…)

All those who are concerned for the Palestinians and say they want to help the Palestinians should open their gates and stop lecturing us."

    (Netanyahu )

I pulled into a regularly frequented KFC yesterday for my lunch. Outside of its parking space was a protestor with a sign urging people to boycott KFC because of its ties to Israel. I spoke to the protestor and said didn't know of the connection and had it explained to me. Apparently its controlling corporation is a company with strong Israeli links. I removed myself and went elsewhere. You never know what all has Israeli ties do you?

Occupied Palestine looking to relocate Palestinians to South Sudan. How do you know (your average) Israeli is a cunt??? You just let them speak.

676 days of white supremacist **** genocide on the Palestinian people.

It's very difficult to see how they can recover from this. Carry out a genocide and with the full knowledge and approval of their own public and society. The more they double down on this, the more isolated they become. If they (nearly all Israelis) carry on with the denials, they will be the ultimate pariah state. Terrorist / genocidal states are usually only rehabilitated after they admitted that terrible things happened and their own culpability in them.

South Sudan denied yesterday that there were any negotiations with Israel on the "relocation" of Palestinians to Sudan.

So the relocation talks must be true.

Interesting interview with a Canadian doctor based in Gaza. He says the gangs backed by the IDF also have drone and quadcopter support from them and are often responsible for not only stealing food but also attacking hospitals and killing people in emergency rooms. So, not only are the Israelis arming killing gangs (sound familiar?) they're actively supporting them.

I guess having seen the posted image of the UEFA cup match (which BBC sport didn't appear to mention by the way) I just had the notion that allowing Israel to participate in worldwide televised events and allowing the spectators and participants to peacefully protest would shame Israel on worldwide TV and get the message out to a wider audience.

But yes, I do agree and would actively support the banning of Israel in sporting events and music events. The boycotting of Israeli goods, services and companies (especially those involved in military equipment per @My name is URL) - absolutely.

And in fairness, I'd imagined a football game between an Israeli team versus any of the northern England lower-tier clubs would be a fiesty affair on and off the pitch. So probably safer just to ban Israel all-out.

Just to add to this, he states that only those dead who are taken to a hospital are counted. Many agencies, who also study other crisis areas like Sudan and Rwanda are estimating the death toll to actually be multiples higher, possibly 300,000 or more. This is a result of bodies under rubble, bodies still at GHF sites that people can't get to because they are fired upon, people who have starved and others are unable to move them. These are simply considered missing but the reality is they're almost certainly dead.

Israelis vacated a property? That must be a first…

Peacefully protesting against them to shame them would assume they have shame, but they don't. The maccabi fans in Amsterdam last year showed just how hateful they are so best not to give them any platform at all

Another day, another war crime. And this is reported within Occupied Palestine itself. 5 kids from the same family. And they have the tenacity to continue referring to October 7th.

**** Israel every single **** day!

This is part of the "softening up" stage for the impending assault on Gaza City.

Israel has run out of excuses since March in justifying any indiscriminate military action in Gaza. They are just consumed by bloodlust and cleansing Palestinians. They will of course continue to justify those attacks as being targeted against Hamas. But we all know they are lies.

Given the public and political outcry plus the clear tensions between the Govt. and the IDF, there's no guarantees it will go ahead. The final solution may yet be cancelled or postponed.

    More "settler" thuggery -

"Israeli far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said work would start on a long-delayed settlement that would divide the West Bank and cut if off from East Jerusalem, a move his office declared would "bury" the idea of a Palestinian state.

Standing at the site in Maale Adumim, Smotrich said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump had agreed to the revival of the E1 scheme, though there was no immediate confirmation from either.

“Whoever in the world is trying to recognise a Palestinian state today will receive our answer on the ground. Not with documents nor with decisions or statements, but with facts. Facts of houses, facts of neighbourhoods," Smotrich said."

Hard to argue with Tiberius' implied logic here..

    https://x.com/ecomarxi/status/1955956596086837298

Stephen Pollard - #uefa statement on the pitch for #supercup They might as well have gone the while way and written "**** you, Jews"

As though killing children is a core Jewish value..

    Do these people hear themselves?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,690 ✭✭✭✭Strazdas

The amount of Zionists today linking a 'Stop killing children' banner to anti-Semitism is unreal. Decent Jewish people who oppose the Israeli state and the genocide should be outraged by these hate filled fascists trying to incriminate them and make them equally responsible for the slaughter.

Sadly I think this is wishful thinking. Israel, and more specifically it's far right government, has the total support of the US and this will not change. As long as they have that they don't care and will continue on with their plans. They don't care about being a pariah state.

They must have been looking up tips on how to commit genocide and South Sudan popped up in google.

    Chomsky(2017) on the Republican party

"Has there ever been an organisation in human history that is dedicated, with such commitment, to the destruction of organised human life on Earth?"

I would fully support allowing Israel to participate in international sporting and cultural events if any travelling supporters are screened on the way in, and every single member of the IDF or anyone with links to Likud or any of the settlement movement who participated in the genocide were detained and questioned and if necessary charged with any offenses they may have committed under international law.

(Including any participants in the events themselves)

Let the Israelis who were on the right side of history travel freely. Anyone who has been actively participating or supporting the genocide, should be be confronted with consequences of those crimes.

Stephen Pollard, senior advisor on the Jewish Chronicle?

Yeah, I'll take what he has to say on the matter with a large pinch of salt.

Good point and yes, it would be unfair to penalise everyone. Otherwise, the world would ironically become just like Israel who are punishing the Palestinians.

There are plenty of good Israelis who are absolutely against what their govt. is doing. They should not be "collateral damage".

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 4,890 ✭✭✭dmcdona

Smotrich belongs in The Hague along with Ben-Gvir. They must be held accountable for their utterly abhorrent behaviour.

Whilst they are sanctioned by the UK and others, they don't give a damn.

Let International justice deal with them and let them pay the price.

Pure Hasbara. He and Mancer would have great craic together. They should both go live in Israel.

That may have been true a month ago.

@NIMAN is right - the last month especially has seen a crescendo of hard critisism of Israel along with commitments to revignise The Palestinian State. The importance of the UK and France doing so has been covered before.

The US support is not as robust as you might think - Trump already lost the rag with alleged war Criminal #1. They run the risk of being about the only country that supports genocide and regardless of the power they have, that is not a good look. There are plenty in the US opposed to Israel.

Much of the action has been forced on these politicians as a result of the public outcry - I noted the start of the increase when Greta Thunberg led the boat aid campaign. It has increased since then.

When the ICJ rules on the Genocide case, Israel will care - they will be internationally recognised as a Genocide State. They will be lumped in with the worst countries we know. So much for the only democracy in the ME with the most moral army in the world.

They are a Pariah already - but that stain is increasing to the point it will never wash off. Israelis see this - hence their own increasing calls for action - "not in our name"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,370 ✭✭✭✭NIMAN

There is only so much action or death you can use Oct 7th to justify.

Israel has been well past that point for about 18 months now. And there is next to no justification for any more murders they are carrying out. Do Hamas even launch missiles any more?

The sad stat is that more Palestinians have been killed queuing for food this year than were killed by Hamas on Oct 7th. Queueing for food. Just think about that for a second. People so desperate for food and one of the world's most trained armies gunning them down. What danger are people queuing for food?

    History won't be kind.

This genocide was never about revenge or payback for October 7th. As bad as that terrorist attack was, people would hardly be still gunning for revenge after the first three or six months of relentless bombing of Gaza and many thousands of deaths. It was and is much more about about a deeply racist, apartheid state and society which views their Gazan neighbours as sub-human savages and every one of them a Hamas supporting terrorist.

Israel's far-right finance minister has announced plans to build a new settlement in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, which he said would "bury" the idea of a Palestinian state.

"This reality finally buries the idea of a Palestinian state, because there is nothing to recognise and no one to recognise," finance minister Bezalel Smotrich said as he announced the construction plans.

"Anyone in the world who tries today to recognise a Palestinian state will receive an answer from us on the ground."

    Absolute scùm
