Ah you're back. Will you engage re hostages this time? Dmcdona waiting for your clarification...

    You forgot about festival goers

Hamas could, of course, hand over the remaining hostages and then Israel would have no reason to continue invading in anybody's books… Why do you think they haven't handed the hostages over to save their people yet?

Hamas are bad people its no great mystery. Shouldn't be used as an excuse to collectively punish the Gazan population.

Everyone has their right to their opinion (not matter how sick it is) what they don't have the right to is throwing out blanket statements with no proof, ignore all questions and then just run away for a couple of days while another IDF supporter tags in to throw out more baseless "facts".

So a selfie is now a death sentence in your warped sense of justice? Do you see how the IDF have twisted your morals and normalised evil acts? You need to wake up.

Did his 4 colleagues also deserve the death sentence?

Or could it be that he was murdered because Israel are losing their bullshiit propaganda war? You're clearly a victim in that war.

That's it so, Hamas releases the remaining hostages and Israel will leave Gaza alone? Hamas were releasing the hostages during the ceasefire that Israel broke were they not? Would you be in favour of all the thousands of Palestinians being held in "administrative detention" being released also. Of course the festival ravers shouldn't have been killed but having a rave next to an open air prison wasn't in the best taste to start with.

Why do you think Israel decided to break the ceasefire and discontinue the return of the hostages, when continuing those two paths would have saved their people?

Seeing as @political analyst has bailed out, I guess this is a moot point but I'll post anyway.

Taking a selfie with the leaders of Hamas is not a crime. It is not proof of anything other than, well, taking a selfie with Hamas leaders. I personally wouldn't do such a thing but nor would I take a selfie with alleged War Criminal #1 or any of his cabinet - unless it was through the door of a cell in The Hague

But I did have a quick look at the twitter account posted and whilst, in fairness, unrelated to the original post, she certainly doesn't seem to be a paragon of the truth. And certainly is not a big fan of the ROI.

Are you referring to the festival goers who were shredded by the IDF Attack Helicopters as they frantically tried to escape in their cars?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,354 ✭✭✭Miniegg

You don't know that. Until proof is provided, you are slandering. From what I've read, he is a well respected journalist amongst global media, one of the last reporters in Gaza, and one who probably knew he would be killed for his profession.

You can see the stats above. You are a self proclaimed analyst - the bloodiest wars in mankind's history doesn't come close to the stats in Gaza. It is a disgrace. We can all see this is absolutely unprecedented silence of media through murder, violence, and slander, and you are defending it.

    Again I'll ask - why?

Those student unions really rubbing off on you Brendan :D

Hamas could, of course, hand over the remaining hostages and then Israel would have no reason to continue invading in anybody's books

What about the book that tells the lunatics in Israeli government and military that the land in Gaza and the West bank is theirs by God given right, and has influenced them to such a degree that they are now committing genocide against the people who have rightfully lived in that land for generations?

The Israelis threw out some piece of paper with Anas's name on it as categorical proof he was a member of Hamas : nothing else, no photos, videos, recorded conversations, intercepted messages, drone footage, absolutely zilch.

It's the SOP for the zionists, muddy the waters straight away. Deny, deflect and distract.

I read somewhere too that this stuff is aimed mainly at the domestic Israeli audience. The Zionist supporting overseas racist eejits lap it up of course, but they are not the target audience.

@Brendan Bendar - remember you posted a bit of a moan about hostages? This monologue about the hostages and their families is just for you. Hope you like it, dude.

Israel's High Court gave the government until August 24 to explain its decision-making on the hostages and ending the war, after families petitioned to block any deal violating hostages' rights.

The chairman of Israel's largest labor federation told hostage families and business leaders he will not call a general strike next Sunday in protest of the government's Gaza takeover plan, expressing concern that a strike might shift public focus away from the hostages and toward political arguments. He pledged to encourage employers to allow workers to attend protests.

"We need something big. Hundreds of thousands, perhaps a million, should converge on Jerusalem, surround the institutions of government – the Knesset, the government complex, the Supreme Court – and remain there.

Not for a few hours and then disperse for coffee, but for as long as necessary: a week, or more. The demonstration must also be nonviolent and strictly within the law.

In effect, this would be a nationwide strike – without the Histadrut labor federation, whose leadership includes many government supporters and staunch Netanyahu loyalists; it is therefore incapable of ordering such a strike.

The protesters would need to without daily comforts, accept financial loss, even risk losing their jobs. There are no 'deluxe' protests. Anyone who fears for Israel's future must be ready to pay a personal price" Yossi Melman

Seems the Security Cabinet plan to take over Gaza is already failing - but that's not stopping Smotrich. Oh no, he's gunning for the settlement of Gaza. And alleged War Criminal #1 boasts that he could have wiped out two million people in one afternoon. Well that puts Hitler back in his box I guess?

The IDF's chief legal adviser, Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi, warned in closed forums that expanding the offensive in Gaza would have implications under international law. According to her, if Israel occupied roughly 75 percent of Gaza, it would have to ensure the welfare of the population under its control in areas such as humanitarian aid, food and water, education, healthcare, and infrastructure.

The IDF said that not all plans to capture Gaza City have been approved due to a shortage of reservists.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said he wants large parts of Gaza to remain under Israeli control and be settled, acknowledging that PM Netanyahu opposes the plan. "I don't think this is the right time to have that debate. I'm conducting it behind closed doors – I'm not blowing everything up over it," he told Israel's public broadcaster.

On Sunday, Netanyahu reiterated his claim that there is no starvation in Gaza, saying that "if we wanted starvation, two million Gazans would not be alive today. If we wanted to carry out genocide, it would have taken exactly one afternoon. There is no policy of starvation; there was a shortage that needed to be stopped. And that is exactly what we are doing."

"Netanyahu is having trouble selling his usual shtick. He's trying to market the security cabinet's decision to send ground forces into Gaza City as a new move that will finally defeat Hamas. But few are willing to buy this stale promise. Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir is convinced that his more limited plan is better. The far-right parties, which demanded the move, think it doesn't go far enough. And most Israelis would apparently prefer to end the war and sign a hostage deal, even at a high price" – Amos Harel

On the International scene, many no longer trust Israel at all. Macron is even calling for troops on the ground in Gaza and the Italians have had their fill of Netanyahu. And of course, Australia will recognise the State of Palestine in a month's time along with other right minded States

Several countries air-dropping aid into Gaza refused an Israeli request to unload it in Israel and transport it to Gaza by truck, citing a lack of trust in Israel to deliver it to those in need, sources told Haaretz.

French President Emmanuel Macron slammed Israel's plan to occupy Gaza as a "disaster of unprecedented gravity waiting to happen" and proposed an international coalition under a UN mandate to fight terrorism and stabilize Gaza.

Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto told the daily La Stampa that Israel's offensive in Gaza is not "a military operation with collateral damage, but the pure denial of the law and the founding values of our civilization ... beyond condemnation, we must now find a way to force Netanyahu to think clearly."

Australian PM Anthony Albanese said his country will recognize a Palestinian state at the UN General Assembly in September, adding that "a two-state solution is humanity's best hope to break the cycle of violence in the Middle East and to bring an end to the conflict, suffering and starvation in Gaza."

Who on Earth would 'sympathise' with terrorists ?? You've lost all grasp of reality

Not only is Israel being panned by its own public and on the International scene, senior Jews are also sticking the boot in and requesting 1 million Jews lodge a complaint with the ICJ. That's a bit of a turnaround alright.

Ex-Knesset speaker Avraham "Avrum" Burg, who also once headed the Jewish Agency and the World Zionist Organization, called for one million Jews worldwide to join a collective legal complaint at the International Court of Justice accusing Israel of crimes against humanity in Gaza. In a post on Substack, Burg wrote that "We will not allow the State of Israel, which systematically inflicts violence upon a civilian population, to speak in our name."

    So is @tayto lover

Hamas murdered civilians on Oct 7th. So did the IDF - scores of Israelis were shredded by the IDF under the Hannibal Directive.

Do you think the IDF should also be held to account? Or are you supporting the alleged Israeli War Criminal who refuses to even investigate what happened on Oct 7th?

    Not all Israelis are Jews.

Avraham Burg is calling on worldwide Jews - not sure why he's not addressing Israeli Jews in Israel - perhaps he doesn't trust them?

And as you are aware, no Palestinian in Gaza is innocent because they voted for Hamas. So the same logic would apply to Israel - no? (I don't agree with either statement by the way).
