    Hello,

I don't think I have ever driven myself to SNN parking before, I have always been a passenger where somebody else has been responsible for the parking.

In the past I have gone there outside of the summer months, and AFAIK the driver simply arrived, and drove into the area marked green below. There were always spaces.

I didn't recall any converstion about booking in advance.

This time I am driving, with my family, so I must be more organised and responsible.

My question is: should I book in advance, for arriving on Sat 16-August about 7pm?

I presume that I should, due to it being peak season

Just book it if you know you are going. Why take the chance?

I could barely find a space in the Green car park in July (had it pre-booked) but I think it’s cheaper when you pre-book it.

I have seen the green car park full but you should get space in the blue or orange, personally I would book in advance to be certain. The orange is only a 10/15 minute walk to the terminal so it's handy enough.

The Orange area was being extended when I was there earlier this year but it looked fairly full when I was there a few weeks ago.

There is an alternative service provided by a local gentleman. He takes your car from the drop off point and picks you up in it when you return. It's good value. Less than half the price of the long term.

Good call on booking it. Check Shannon on this - one thing they do in Cork at the Long Term parking is actually allow you to cancel it and get a full refund. Its not exactly advertised, but is good to know (and a rare thing thesedays).
