Wouldn't have happened if isaak had been there and on targett

As usual with the media I don't think it's a big an issue as they make out. If they don't reach agreement and united have the backing of the city then they can secure compulsory purchase order.

CPO can take years. Granted this is early stage negotiations and there is a dance to be performed by all parties but a CPO is the very last option they'd be left with after a long and exhaustive process. It's also not guaranteed they'd be successful in court.

Sekso hasn't decided who he is signing for yet but my god Newcastle fans are not taking the news good on twitter 😂😂

I read a lot of the responses and they are very disappointed but nothing but rage from the Liverpool contingent.

Rage from the Liverpool contingent? We are having an unreal window. Isak would be South Park jizz all over the monitor emoji 😆

And yes, I do keep an eye on the United forum, same way as you keep and eye on a hot ex even if she’s had one kid too many 🤣

So much negativity I've seen from Liverpool fans. Sesko will flop, waste of money, another Hojlund.

United absolutely cannot be waiting for Hojlund to come good next season.

I was struck by the instinctive reaction of a lacking match sharpness Mbuembo the other night. He managed to get to the rebound and then again get to next one and get a really clean strike on goal all in a couple of seconds.

There's no way Hojlund gets to the first one and he consistently struggles to get clean shots away inside the box.

Sesko will be a massive improvement in every way.

Hojlund is better than he's been showing for sure, his confidence is in the toilet, but let's face it he's never going to regain it at United. The liklihood of us looking at a Forlanesque redemption somewhere else is pretty slim too.

Ideally you'd keep him to back up Sesko and rotate in occasionally and maybe he finds his feet again. But we will have another terrible season next year if Hojlund is leading the line. Amorim knows he's a dead man walking in that scenario, everyone knows it, hence we're willing to dig deep for Sesko.

Let's hope we can pull it off now!

No. once had grudging respect, if that means anything.

If an official bid has gone in he's surely said he only wants United. Only stumbling block now will be Leipzig and the price. Can see them rejecting the first bid and wanting an extra €5M in add ons to make it €90M. Believe that was the top end of the price originally mentioned when this gentleman's agreement about leaving was mentioned.

Absolutely, especially when they showcase what they're planning on doing with the land for all to see.

Just made the mistake of sticking Sky News on and they had some muppet from (I think) the Sun on.

Waffling on about how United will need to match the Newcastle offer before, and then both clubs will discuss terms.

Both clubs discussed terms a long time ago and it's widely reported that personal teams are already agreed, as they are in every major transfer these days. How is this muppet a sports journalist and has so little clue about how transfers work?

Sesko will be worth every penny if keeps Isak away from Liverpool.

Simon Harris is monitoring the situation...

It won't make an impact IMO. Other than delaying things.

Sesko will likely make it clear, maybe today, that he's only interested in a United move. Newcastle will switch their focus to Wissa. They'll wrap him up easy enough because the same blind panic and throwing money tactic they've used with Leipzig will work at Brentford (who will bleed them dry BTW).

So they'll get Wissa for probably £50m and then sell Isak for £120m.

I think Sesko could turn out to be a great signing. He's a bit like Ibrahimovic.

It will be interesting to see who turns out the better buy / player, Sesko or Ekitike

Excellent. They’ll get their man and played the negotiations perfectly.

Credit must go to INEOS, Newcastle will offer a lot of money to Sesko, higher transfer fee to Leipzig and champions league football. We’re offering “we’re Man United”.

    Happy Wednesday.

I’m looking forward to The Athletic’s breakdown of how it all went down. I find those pieces very interesting, getting a real insight into how transfers actually work.

There has been noise that we might also get a midfielder and goalkeeper, so there could be more action to come before the deadline closes. Players need to be moved on but those were never going to be quick and easy. Chelsea getting funds in could be the green light to sign Garnacho.

It could end up being two very good summer windows from this new group of football people.

Here's where I am on this.

Before we signed Hojlund I didn't want him, especially not him on his own to lead a dysfunctional attack and for that kind of money based on what he'd done in the game. I also figured we already had a Rashford in the team, from memory all I could remember being impressed by in his highlights was Hojlunds ability to burst forward with the ball when space was available and given how ten hag wanted us to play and how teams play against United I wasn't so sure it was the right profile of player. Now I can actually see a player in Hojlund but less than sure he will ever show that at United. Another striker is a welcome addition regardless.

Sesko though who I always have been pretty high on has gone to the German league with a lot of fanfare, in a team that plays attacking football and scored I think 27 league goals across his 2 seasons, he has underwhelmed truth be told but again he is a young striker learning the game it isn't unusual. His passing isn't exactly top tier but he does use that big frame well to win his duels in fairness and his ceiling his high I think.

If we are to replace Hojlund with Sesko I've seen comments like he will be a massive upgrade in every way, but what is this based on? Is it just a well Hojlund has been so bad kinda logic, cause they aren't exactly a million miles apart in terms of profile or what they have done in the game to this point and it's another massive financial investment so has a large element of risk attached to it.

If he comes in I obviously hope he adapts quickly and smashes the place to bits and he will have a better shout at it in a more cohesive attack for sure with the Mbuemo and Cunha additions in place. I'm sure they have done the sums but how they haven't reached the conclusion that midfield isn't the massive gaping hole that is going to cause headaches again this season and look to address that I'm not sure.

I'm not quite as hesitant to see us spunk massive money a young fella to lead the attack now due to the support cast but I'm definitely still a bit wary that we are making a house look very nice and stylish but forgetting to put on a good sturdy roof for when the rain comes.

"People say ‘go with the flow’ but do you know what goes with the flow? Dead fish."
