I saw those reports. I just find it extraordinary that some people question the death toll of 60000 when it has to be more.

Ah, I see one is already in questioning the numbers.

I'll tell you who I wouldn't believe, Brendan.....the lying scum in israel

It's been posted time and time again that the figures they release are considered accurate, if not underestimated. As I stated multiple times the fact that the Israeli government does not dispute them should tell you what you need to know about their accuracy.

Not the point Jay, the boy is accepting figures from Hamas…..I would find that rather strange.

Ethiopians were given long lasting contraceptive injections without their informed consent, being told it was a condition of immigration. It wasn’t a condition for white Jews.
Do you believe the dumping of blood donated by black Jewish citizens is nonsense too?

Is Israel a racist society or not in your opinion?

Can you post sources that you consider accurate?

Doesn’t tell me anything Frank other than the Israelis don’t seem to comment on stuff like that

Can you provide links to stats that you deem credible?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,889 ✭✭✭✭Brendan Bendar

No and neither can anyone else……but I certainly wouldn’t accept Gaza Health ministry figures .

So you cherry pick which sources to believe based on your own bias?

Well done, block list for you.

Can we change the thread title please? Israel continuation of genocide perhaps? Mass starvation…I dunno. Something sexier?

    The Israelis won't allow it.

They know the IDF shredded (attack helicopters) scores of partygoers fleeing for their lives - 70 or so vehicles were recovered.

Then there were Kibbutzim buildings flattened by Merkava Main Battle tanks whilst desperate Israelis hoped to be rescued.

If Israel released those numbers, there would be an uproar - hence the Alleged War Criminal (at large) not allowing an inquiry that would end with him rotting in an Israeli cell or being shipped to The Hague to rot there instead.

Well if the numbers issued by the Gaza Health Ministry are good enough for the UN and for Israel, they're good enough for me. There really isn't anything "strange" about it at all.

But sure, make up your own numbers if you like. If you want to say that zero children have been killed and that assuages your lack of a moral compass and humanity, work away.

I'd appreciate your considered contribution though I suspect it will simply reflect the normal dross and argumentative rubbish you post.

I'll wait for your corroborated evidence on your Haaretz accusation. But I suspect tumbleweed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 4,898 ✭✭✭dmcdona

It has been discussed at length here many many times with corroborated evidence from multiple reputable sources.

I suspect that poster is being contrary just for the sake of it and to get some kind of "bite" and a second or two of "glory".

It's mad how some find joy in such perversions. Wouldn't be my cup of tea but they're certainly entitled.

So the only means of debate that is pro-Israeli is asking for sources and when they're given those sources aren't reliable.

The writing is on the wall.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 4,898 ✭✭✭dmcdona

And make accusations that they do not provide sources for either.

    Living in fantasy land.

Seems the IDF are getting ready for clearing land to commence building settlements a security buffer zone.

And its laughable that the air drops are "part of a co-operation" - Israel acceded to the air drops when they were forced to. Can't see then wanting to co-operate with France after their announcement to recognise the State of Palestine. Always the Hasbara isn't it?

    • Defense MInister Katz said he would ensure that the IDF implements the government's decisions regarding the next phase of operations in Gaza. He emphasized the need for a permanent IDF presence in a "security buffer zone" in strategic areas of the Strip to prevent arms smuggling and future attacks on Israeli communities.
    • The IDF said that 110 food aid packages were airdropped into Gaza "as part of the cooperation between Israel, the UAE, Jordan, Egypt, Germany, Belgium and France."

How far out do you believe the figures are Brendan? A few dozen, hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands? Is this what your reduced to now, arguing over the death figures. Lower than whale sh1t..

Interesting opinion piece regarding Israel managing Gaza. Presumably they'll manage it like they do the West Bank…

"With Israeli sponsorship and support, Hamas has established military and civilian autonomy in Gaza in a way that allows us to compare Israel's policy towards Hamas to that of Iran regarding Hezbollah.

The military proxy was intended to undermine the state's authority in the Lebanese case, and the Palestinian Authority in Gaza's case.

Now that Israel is rejecting any alternative Palestinian government in Gaza, it is seeking to topple the authority that it established.

In its absence, Israel will be forced to step into Hamas' shoes and become the direct and sole occupier of Gaza, bearing the responsibility for managing the civilian affairs of over two million Palestinians"

    Zvi Bar'el

This is an odd one. By denouncing the Gaza Genocide, Poland is in fact dishonouring the Holocaust. How does that even compute? Hasbara gone mad.

Polish PM Donald Tusk reaffirmed Poland's support for Israel in its fight against Hamas in a post on X, but added that it "will never be on the side of politicians whose actions lead to hunger and the death of mothers and children. This must be obvious to nations that together went through the hell of World War II."

The Israeli Foreign Ministry said it "firmly rejects" Tusk's comments and "expects Poland to refrain from using language that distorts history," accusing Warsaw of "dishonoring the memory of Holocaust victims." Later on Tuesday, the ministry summoned the Polish ambassador to Israel for an official reprimand.

I would prefer Bibi to meet an end similar to the shower scene in Terrifier 3, he deserves it. **** waiting years for trial or allowing him leeway to weasel out, swift and brutal justice is what he deserves for his actions. He'll probably end up taking the easy way out like his idol Adolf.

Settlers gonna settle I suppose and be allowed get away with terrorism. But I guess that's no surprise with the Minister of National Security being a convicted terrorist (Ben-Gvir).

And even though there are Israelis prepared to fundraise for Gaza, seems some prefer the starvation to continue. Haddad is an expert in the Hasbara having been awarded the "Light of Israel" prize by excelling in their professional arena alongside activity for Israel's image in the media and on social networks

Settlers torched a two-story building on a Palestinian farm in Turmus Ayya, spray-painting the words "Revenge" and "Price Tag" on its walls, Wadi' Alqam, the owner of the farm, told Haaretz. "Just like before, there will be no arrests," he said, adding that "the army and the police come and take statements. We show them where the settlers came from. But it doesn't help."

A Tel Aviv fundraising event in support of Gaza residents was forced to relocate after organizers received concrete threats from right-wing activists. The original venue said tickets had sold out two weeks in advance, but the threats began after a post by pro-Israel activist Yoseph Haddad.

Iran wasted their missiles tbh, they should have been wiping this particular breed of vermin off the fuckin earth.

I thought they'd summoned the Polish Ambassador to stamp the return vise for Mileakowsky. I'd say they shudder at the thought of the genocidal scum ever returning home.

They might relish it - immediately extradited to The Hague to rot.

Definitely they played with fire by trying to balance Hamas against the PA and undermine both, but Netanyahu and his ilk have never wanted peace of course. He seems to really be in his element since Trump took over in the US, with carte blanche to do as he likes. A very scary man.

In fairness, there's been plenty of such evil "regimes" willing to slaughter for land. We have one on the war path of course in Europe right now (Russia). So they are not special (historically).

As have said before it is just really, really tragic and depressing to see Israel i.e. the Jewish state of all places, eagerly committing crimes against humanity. If they can fully lose empathy at a national level after a generation or 2 (i.e. once the Holocaust survivors are dead) + get turned into monsters by anger, bad leadership, greed, black propaganda etc. it can happen to any country much more quickly and easily than I believed possible. 😢

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,055 ✭✭✭DarkJager21

He's not a scary man, he's a weak cowardly snake who needs his head removed from his shoulders.

Big brother US does complicate things but if there was cohesive movement among the rest of the world, even the US can be beaten with a stick (a.k.a increased tariffs worldwide for supporting the new Reich, an easily understandable gesture for dotard since he loves maths).

Either way Israel cannot weasel out of this unscathed. The Nazis were hunted to their dying days for justice, Bibi and his cabinet are no different

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,728 ✭✭✭SafeSurfer

The US has The Hague invasion act for just such a scenario. Judges and UN rapporteurs are being sanctioned by the US in defence of Israel.

The whole pretence of international rules based order and international law has been jettisoned along with so much else. Consumed in the black hole of evil that is the current state of Israel.
Netanyahu may ultimately be sacrificed as a lightning rod to absolve Israeli society of collective guilt but I have my doubts.
All western countries, especially the most powerful ones are highly invested in Israel not being guilty of genocide etc because they are highly complicit and that reality cannot be allowed manifest.

Not sure if he's a coward…not going to try and psychoanalyse him (!) and will stick to what we know below. However he did serve in the IDF when young and I don't believe he was in a run of the mill doing x years service role either (was in the Special forces acc. to Wikipedia).

What we can say for certain is he's extremely egotistical (edit: but then a lot of leaders can be, I suppose it is a matter of degree + actions in power?).

He is the leader of a country that's armed to the teeth and is fully backed by the US. He has autocratic tendencies in govt. and has developed quite a fondness for waging wars, to help deflect from political problems that bedevil him and stay in power.

He's charged with warcrimes and is IMO overseeing/directing an active genocide - leaders who will do that have no guardrails left, and are capable of anything.

I also believe it is just a matter of time before Israel attacks another country, while he remains in power. These are all the reasons why I personally find him scary!
