Boards Golf Society 2025 (Round 7) - Seapoint Golf Club - 16th August

    Onto our 7th, and final round outside of Captains weekend, Seapoint Golf course.

    Another course i've heard nothing but good things about, and i expect it'll prove a real challenge.

    • Time sheet will open…tbc…but soon
    • First tee time is 12:10pm
    • Cost is €55pp
    • 40 slots available

    There is a driving range, short-game area and putting green available (according to the website).

    Booked! I somehow had it in my calendar for the following weekend so I am glad I checked.

    Only 13 booked in at the moment kieran, and less than 2 weeks out, so I'd imagine there'll be space.

    Aer Lingus has lost my golf clubs. Its only been a day, but its **** depressing. How hard is a no connection flight from Barcelona to Dublin?

    Clubs found and delivered, so thats good. Still quite annoyed I was not able to play over the weekend…but very excited for Seapoint as it will be my last boards event of the year (on holiday for captains weekend).

    Given my situation at work it might be my last event for a very long time - my boss is "asking" me to move to Barcelona, it's looking very likely at this point that I go.

    Looking forward to this one, will likely be my last of the year. Going to be a very long day travelling up solo from Cork but hopefully it'll be worth it to play another top 100 course. If we're from the whites I'll find the scoring hard with all the small water short of the greens, but hoping I can keep it respectable.

    Need to be sensible when deciding on which tees to use on Saturday. if the wind is up this can be quite a long and challenging course. Played the scratch cup out here a couple of months back and it was extremely tough. I failed to break 100 on the day as it was as much as a three club wind most of the day with it rarely helping. Very nice track and was in great condition on that day.

    Looks like it is going to be an easterly on-shore wind. The opposite to prevailing westerlies. No idea how that will affect the course as I have never played.

    I was hoping to sneak out for this, but it isn't to be. And the captains is a non-runner too. So I need about 30 people to drop out of the jug team to make the cut. At least there's still a chance.

    Enjoy this one lads - course looks fantastic.
