Given that Gaza is one of the most densely populated places on earth would you not say that keeping losses to 60k is more indicitive of Israel's desire not to kill vast swathes of people that the opposite.

Do you really expect people to take this type of rubbish seriously? How careful were they being when they murdered those 15 medics in cold blood and buried them like animals?

There is no way can anybody genuinely believe this.

Do you think we're all stupid, that we don't know the difference between a Jew and a Zionist? Most Jewish people aren't even as rabidly Zionist as you are, ironically.

Statements like that make you look very very foolish indeed.

Now go back and respond to my long post about destruction bulldozers. You won't have missed it but you folks are experts at running away from questions and facts. It's amazing how quickly ye become so similar to the Israeli mouthpieces in the media. University students will do thesis on your responses or lack thereof in years to come.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

    And then there's this lot-

"Hundreds of ultranationalist activists hoping to establish new Israeli settlements in Gaza set out Wednesday evening from a spot close to the Gaza border city of Sderot and began walking westward toward a lookout point less than a kilometer away from the Strip.

The march was organized by the Nachala organization, which aims to reestablish Israeli settlements in Gaza after they were fully evacuated during Israel’s unilateral withdrawal in 2005. The movement has sensed an opening in Israel’s ongoing war against Hamas and, now, with ceasefire negotiations at a standstill, activists are pushing the government to take concrete steps toward resettlement."

The movement’s ideology has support in the government. Israeli officials are reportedly threatening to annex parts of Gaza, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has called the enclave an “inseparable part” of Israel, and other ministers and lawmakers have been urging the leadership to impose military rule over it.

Some of the posters here would give that bumbling genocidal maniac David Mencer a run for his money.

As I said earlier, in discussion of any other topic, it would be laughable the lengths these people go to, the hoops they jump through now that they’re backed into a corner and can’t face the reality that is even dawning rapidly on Israel’s allies. It’s almost parody.

The fact it’s being done on the back of 60,000 dead bodies, probably twice that rotting away under rubble, and what’s left being starved and sniped down begging for food, well it’s just downright depressing.

I doubt if there are many actual antisemitic incidents against Jews in Iran.

Doesn't not make it a rabidly antisemitic country does it.

I would say quit while you are ahead, but that horse bolted a long time ago.

But Iran is considered less anti semitic than Ireland. Ireland being considered the most anti Semitic country in the world , is that right,? Some people should definitely get off twitter, it's warping their view of reality

I was sent a link with the fcukwit David Mencer today. It's hard to believe people like that exist. Actually it's not that hard anymore.

I think The IDF has become a state terrorist organisation given it enforces Israeli government policies that amount to war crimes. It also helps to maintain an illegal occupation in the West Bank. It also routinely engages in collective punishment of civilians. Collective punishment of civilians is a form of state terrorism .

There are posters on here who know that if they substitute the word Zionist for Jew they can get away with saying just about anything.

Let me guess. You've yet to witness a single solitary antisemitic post on here.

I'm still waiting for you to provide your 10 stop program for how 2 million people are going to dissapear out of Gaza, hot air baloons or space lazers is it?

Given that you have confidently declared on numerous occasions that it is a guaranteed certainty, i though you could have just dashed it off, off the top of your head.

You're not interested in telling the truth either.

In the West Bank the colonialist project continues -

"The humanitarian crisis facing 42,000 forcibly displaced Palestinians in the West Bank

Six months since Israel’s expanded military assault on the refugee camps of Jenin and Tulkarem in the northern West Bank, over 42,000 Palestinian refugees remain forcibly displaced and have no stable access to food, water, or shelter. "

Are you going to row back on your ridiculous statement that Ireland is considered the most anti semitic country on the planet or do you still stand behind that most ridiculous of statements? Really i dont know why posters try to debate you in good faith when you give none back.

Blah blah blah. Nothing but mealy-mouthed rubbish from you.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 723 ✭✭✭sheepysheep

You think a country with a tiny population of Jews should witness a high incidence of antisemitic attacks?

You think people a country with a small percentage of Jews can't be antisemitic?

You think people from Galway or Kilkenny or Wexford who have never met a Jew can't be antisemitic?

Saw there that Trump's Real estate friend who is the roving US envoy to war zones and resident diplomacy/geopolitics big brain of this admin. (!) is going to make a tour of an aid distribution site.

    https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c74d82pdxjzo

US special envoy Steve Witkoff will visit Gaza on Friday to inspect food distribution sites, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has confirmed.

Leavitt said Witkoff would visit the territory along with US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee and "secure a plan to deliver more food and meet with local Gazans to hear first-hand about this dire situation on the ground".

Struck me as a bit sick making and ghoulish, like an official/sanitised tour of an active concentration camp or gulag. These "GHF" aid distribution sites in Gaza sound like a sadistic plot point in a bad episode of Black Mirror.

I have seen anti semitic posts on here, but they were a minority of posts. You would like to characterise it as rampant on here in order to delegitmise criticism of Israeli war crimes.

I notice you don't seem to be as vocal about racist anti Arab posts. I suppose you'll say you didn't see those posts.

You shouldn't ignore such posts because the posters happens to agree with you about Israel. Prejudice against people should be called out whether it's against Jews or Arabs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,697 ✭✭✭Frank Grimes

I think in general you have no idea what you are talking about. I think are just blindly regurgitating talking points you are probably, ironically, reading on Twitter and other social media.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,269 ✭✭✭✭Tony EH

Looking over your gibberish on this thread alone, it's clear that you wouldn't know what truth or fact was if it bit you on the arse.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 101 ✭✭purplesnack

But the ceasefire was working. Hamas were releasing the hostages under that arrangement. So, since you didn't answer the question the first time, I'll ask you again, why did Israel break the ceasefire?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 723 ✭✭✭sheepysheep

The biggest story out there is the Arab - French plan to force Hamas to disarm, surrender, and push for a 2 state solution in the aftermath.

The only two people to even mention that are me and Blanch.

All the posters who claim to care so profoundly about the Palestinians have been far too busy ranting about why Hamas can't release the hostages, and how Isreal is going to dissapear 2 million people, and how Isreal is a pariah and is going to be erased form the face of the earth to even notice such developments. The usual cookoo stuff ranks against Israel is always preferable. I wonder why?

I don’t know Sheepy, Iran has current Jewish members of parliament while Ireland doesn’t.
Then again, according to you, Ireland , the country which gave specific protection to Jews in the 1937 constitution is one of the most anti semitic countries in the world but your evidence is absence of anti semitic incidents so by your criteria anything is possible.
Perhaps Israel is the most anti semitic country in the world.

I never said you said that the taking of hostages was justified.

I pointed out that the following -

This also puts the whole "release the hostages and the war will end" argument to bed.

They are consistently talking about moving the Gazans out, or herding them into concentration camps. If the hostages are released, what then? "OK, you can all go home". That they'll stop the construction of said concentration camp because the hostages are released?

    - Is a justification of Hamas retaining the hostages as a bargaining chip. You're clearly stating that releasing the hostages is a futile endavour in its own right.

So, you're saying that Oct 7th wasn't an act of genocide?
