Have actually never ventured into comedy in 20 years of EPs, but that's a very decent linup. Andrew Maxwell is a very underrated comedian, like yer man Vittorios podcast and Killian Sunderman is very funny.

for Eco campsite folks, now relocated further away,

it looks like Mollys gate is the closest wristband gate for Eco, and the Blue Car park is closest to there:

Is the blue car park, actually open on Thursday for early entry?

And can you choose to park in Blue carpark,eg do you have a choice, as the other car parks are quite a distance awayfrom Mollys gate entrance

David Holmes at ATN and EP, big man must be looking a new kitchen.

Absolutely brilliant news for acid house chuggery fans of a certain vintage.

I can guarantee you I will be as emotional throughout as I was when Lamb played Gorecki at that stage in 2019.

Mate we've a run of Dry Cleaning into Homer at ATN on Saturday night on the same stage no less, one of the many reasons we travel the length of the country to Waterford every year. Add Paul Woodford until 4am at Arcadia and it's like we curated it ourselves.

Croí poster giving me hope for Stradbally but I'm a hopeless romantic.

Right, so I gave troupe-du-jour Kingfishr a spin in my EP playlist. Too much of the Dermot Kennedy / Cian Ducrot vibes from the lead singer for me. No doubt they'll be a huge success.

I am replacing them with Post Punk Podge, David Keenan and White Horse Guitar Club from Croi, with a few more to investigate.

Maybe it's carpark from two and campsites from 4?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,529 ✭✭✭Fanirish

    it’s car park 2pm and campsite 4pm

Probably a typo on EP app, where it specifically says, Early Entry ticketholders “can enter the campsites from 14:00” on Thursday.

I’m also interested in this @fafy it would be epic for anyone in ECO! + convenient for a fast exit on Monday morning.

I’d guess given the scale of Thursday now @40k that everything will be open?

To get to blue we’re at the mercy of the Garda traffic plan, the main goal of which is to keep the cars moving, every route has an A or B fork, so the moment A backs up they pivot to the B route. This happens multiple times as you make your way to the site, it’s literally a flip of a coin.
In order to get to Blue, you would need to be on the correct side of around 3-4 coin flips! You can’t really start talking to the Guard on duty, asking if you can take a different route 🤣

I didn't even know there was a Blue parking until now. In previous years, I think only Red was open for early entry, and like you say, it was all directed by the Gardai with no choice. How did you get into Blue previously? It looks like exactly the same entry road as Red. It would indeed be awesome if we could get there.

is it too early to ask for emotional support for us elder ex-Green car parkers staying in Pink Moon, i avoided it last year as we got a bus as there was a 8 of us, only 4 this year so back in the car. the red to PM hike is on the cards 😥 can i employ a couple of the local scouts, one for my gear on one for a piggy back!?

    EP23_Site Plan.png

This is from 2023. There was no Blue Parking. Looks like Poets now extends more left than this, and Eco is below what is shown for campervans. Campervan entrance was at the right rather than from the Abbeyleix Road.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,652 ✭✭✭Fatfrog

    To get to blue there are three forks in the road that you need to be the right side of;

A: Roundabout at the car dealership. Bus and camper will be directed left via the N80. All cars straight ahead r425/6. I don’t believe there’s a green car park anymore, campervan only.

B: There’s a junction on the R426, if the R427 (road most cross between site and car parks) backs up too much, they send traffic left uphill across backroads. If this is the case you will definitely end up at the rear of the red car park. (Formerly this was a route to green also)

C: There’s a final fork in the road on the R427, left will take you into red, right into blue. If you get to red, there’s usually a couple of different entrances, one gets you close to the road, the other takes you through some old farm buildings and right out to the back of the car park.

I'd go with EP's time, myself.

Ticketmaster have no say in the door opening times.

I'll be hitting the road after dropping the kids at school, anyway. Worst case scenario I'll be sipping cans in a car park for an extra hour or so.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,652 ✭✭✭Fatfrog

I take it you walk down the road R427 and enter via the paintball gate? Vs heading in via the main wristband gate at red and going down that painful forest path!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 399 ✭✭Davysulls86

People were in the car parks well before 2 last year. Source; I was there.

It was actually really nice, people just chilling with a beer (or 3) chatting with bodies around them.

We ended up camping in ECO with the people met in the queue.
