    Hi,

I've been self-employed since 2018 and now I believe I can plan some pension plan. I want to know what the best pension options would be:

I would rather to transfer sum up amount every now and then than monthly transfer statement as it depends how the business goes (plus savings and so on).

    Advice please?

    Get proper independent advice.

There's no such thing as a one size fits all pension. Everybody is different in relation to their individual financial position.

You'll need to talk to a financial advisor, they can lay out the options for you and give proper advice

I'd recommend starting with whoever does your accounts, the larger firms often have financial planners as well

Failing that, I've found the folks at Ask Paul (Fairstone) to be very helpful and knowledgeable. They've a good range of options and are able to explore why some are better than others instead of just giving the first they find

You can do it tax efficiently by paying the pension contributions from your company, so they form an employer contribution instead of an employee contribution which has a tax free limit

There's a lot of different potential options available so talking to an advisor is very important
