Yes no mention of Damo and Mairwad moving out, of have to move out, there was talk of a move to Cashel, to a house which I thought was previously sold, also they mix up Phoebe being in Cashel to abroad on a hockey scholarship

They did mention they had to get out for the new lot. Dean helped with the move. (I think).

We haven't seen the staff room for weeks now.

Mairead and Damo got evicted when Lidl took over and presumably turned the flat upstairs into their staff room that Mondo was having all his marketing meetings with Renee in. Every time that room appeared Mondo and Renee kept talking about some guy called Tom from Lidl marketing but he never appeared.

So did Lidl buy the premises from Farrah Phelan ? Incidentally, in real life, I don't think I've ever seen Lidl or Aldi take over an existing shop in the middle of a main street, in my experience they always build from the ground up in the outskirts.

They took over Iceland in Thomas Street, Dublin.

Yeah their city centre shops are quite different, like Thomas Street, Talbot Street, Moore Street, Aungier Street. But all much larger than the Fair City corner shop.

I had a good giggle tonight that Babs who hated the grief she got for being a clamper/parking woman now wants to join the guards. Err Babs I think you may want to rethink that if you want to be loved in your employment.

Apparently now someone living on social welfare can cut back on expenses and retire early. All they need is Sean's help - the government should hire him and cut social welfare rates. Brilliant - I can't wait to see how this works out for Nicky.

Ian the knobhead is back. Did his missus have the baby i wonder? Why is Greg hanging around with him? And why weren't they working on a Sunday like all FC characters usually are?

Victor negatively affecting his wife's confidence again after cheating on her last year

Its all very lighthearted but its building a profile of our Victor

    Worst character ever😀

    Ian is the worst

Victor laughing at Babs wanting to be a garda made me uneasy, it was like he was bullying her. She's probably on the older side for Garda recruitment, but we'll see where it ends up.

Emma and her Victorian styling for a client on Aylesbury Road. Excuse me!!!!

I think Babs longing to join the guards will end up the same way as her bid to lose weight and get fit a few months ago - absolutely nowhere! It probably will be forgot about by next week and she will end up working in lidl.

Cheers, I must have missed when that was said. I remembered ages ago when Ellie had the hots for him he mentioned him and his misses were due a baby any day but I didn’t know if they'd bother continuing that story thread. Guess the poor woman is stuck with him now one way or another for the next 18 years. Ian seems to be the same kind of character as Kev and Rayno, just brought in to make a fuss for a couple of episodes and then dissappear again until they're needed to stir sh!t for another plot. I suppose with Con working on the market place the whole time now we won't see the site office anymore so Ian's appearances will hopefully be limited. Tis a wonder Greg didn’t a part time job in Lidl that he could be doing on the Sundays.

Yeah he's probably the most obnoxious character in the show at the moment. Imagine the smarm that would ooze of the screen if him and Paul shared scenes 🤣.

I don't really get the point of Ian though. He was meant to be a workplace bully but now Greg plays soccer with him. He's supposed to be a new dad but has time for a day of boozing after soccer with his mates. He's very much a one dimensional character and probably only exists to antagonise the other characters like Greg, Jess, Gwen, Sash, Ellie etc. I suppose they can't have some of the other characters act that way in the plots e.g. Greg couldnt be the one getting drunk and slagging off Gwen or Maxine couldnt be the one bullying Greg and insinuating he's banging the babysitter Ellie or it would tarnish their "good guy" characters. So I guess Ian exists to the dirty work other characters can't for the sake of conflict and drama but its a bit lazy they haven't bothered to add any layers to him like they did for Fergal.

Did the just have Victor laughing at her so they could have him walk towards that strange camera angle showing the Lidl signs behind him? The branding is getting very annoying. Spar seemed to go no further than have shelves full of their own brand “Pringles”. Now we have the logo everywhere, Mairead delivering Lidl bags to the community centre and directing people to “aisle 4” off camera in the shop itself 🙄

The site office seems to stay the same and in the same location even if they move site locations???🤔

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,027 ✭✭✭Otis Hill

Yeah if James ends up working on Con's Cork development he'll probably still work out if that office 🤣

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,918 ✭✭✭John arse

A question folks: Were they ever any recriminations over Victor's 'affair' - they all seem as happy as Larry in that family?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 815 ✭✭✭dixiedan

I dont think there have been any scenes involving Vic, Keira, Babs, Mondo etc since the affair. Completely scrubbed from memory. ridiculous 🙄

Ger has a nasty streak in her.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,027 ✭✭✭Otis Hill

Ruby and Kira have had scenes together and Ruby mentioned she'd tolerate working with Keira so that Mondo could go to the Isle of Man with Ray. But weirdly Vic and Babs haven't crossed paths with Kira at all. My hope is that Babs and Gar have an affair and Kira is the one to catch them but Melanie doesn't believe her and thinks she's just being spiteful

Ian is perfect for a sexual assault storyline

antiques shop and Ger just don’t tie in together.. no doubt it will be another rushed storyline that will go nowhere.

Haven’t seen Jess in ages. Or Melanie for that matter; the exam cheating storyline has evaporated.

Stupid the amount of scenes in the Lidl, half the cast are in the shop at any one time
