Newbridge train station parking

Looking at moving to Newbridge but we'd need to take a train to Town a few times a week and the train station is a drive away from where we're looking. What's the parking like in the station? Does it fill up early?

The car park on the town side can be full early, but I’ve yet to see the car park outside the Department of Defence full

Same. Before Covid, I came across it full sometimes but not since then (Dept of Defence side that is).

Just a follow up on this.

Yesterday I parked in the Red Cow P&R, and paid €4 for 24 hour parking.

Today I parked in the DoF side car park to get the train up to Dublin. It’s €4.50 for 24 hours here. I wonder why it’s more expensive in Newbridge?

I suppose it's not run at a national level, but rather at a local/council/operator level. Just two standalone entities not really looking at what the other is charging?

I don’t use the car parks on a regular basis but afaik both car parks are run by Apcoa.

Apcoa operate THOUSANDS of carparks. Price will be determined by local factors. They don't do a fixed "train station" price

Also Luas is a totally different entity to Irish Rail. So no connection whatsoever to each carpark
