The Ozzy news has made up my mind for me. There's no way that Therapy? don't do their Iron Man cover. See you all down front!

Andy hasn't sung the vocals on that often, so they might just do the mash-up with Potato Junkie again and make anyone who doesn't realise what it is aware.

Won a few quid on the darts last night so I splashed out on some VIP passes for the craic. I'll probably be thrown out for being too drunk. Looking forward to Alabama 3, Peter Hook, Franz F, Moxie, Stranglers, Manic's, Orbital, The Farm and then a few hours in the Fleadh tent nursing myself on Sunday.

No festivals for me this year 😢. I'd thought this might work out but not to be, unfortunately.

Fair sailing to all that are going. It's a super lineup.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,048 ✭✭✭conf101

I see on the map there are two different campervan sites. One beside the tents and the other closer to the festival site. I presume it's a case of first come, first served and the closer one is filled first. Anyone know if that's definitely the case?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 96 ✭✭KawaKris

Yeah I noticed that, last year we arrived around 2 pm on Friday and were in the closer one, not even sure there was 2 sites last year. I'd say once the closer one is filled your directed towards the 2nd one.

I can't seem to find anywhere where it says what time they open back up Friday morning.

I'd say if you find a quiet little corner somewhere and don't take the mick, you'll be fine. Done it for years in the back of a van at all the festivals. I'd say you won't be the only one.

There's no indication that there is drinking water at the general campsite, however one assumes that it will be available?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,048 ✭✭✭conf101

I've a feeling there was only one last year, though I'm not certain. I guess with the increased attendance this year, more space is needed. I expect it'll be early evening before I get down on Friday, so will just have to see how I get on.

So camping field doesn't open until 12 noon tomorrow? With lots more peeps I'm imagining a real scramble for turf….hope I'm wrong…

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 332 ✭✭jimosterberg

I see an Instagram post saying no awnings beside campervans. Anyone know if this is usually enforced?

3 kids under 6 means 3 car seats. Can't really store them when sleeping without an awning

Camping not open till one now tomorrow just fyi

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 66 ✭✭RangerToby

Last year was the same but we put ours up anyway once things had settled with everyone parking up. Quick chat with neigbours to check they didn't mind as spacing was fairly close.

Picked up a couple of tickets

What's the main beer here please don't say Rockshore

Do they have a range on offer or your typical 2 beers from a massive company

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 96 ✭✭KawaKris

Guinness and erm yes Rockpiss. There are a couple of craft beer bars near the Fleadh tent. Pretty nice too, forgot which breweries.

Can't recall what's available at the main bars, but there are craft beer areas as well

I'm in A. It's going to fill up sharp tomorrow. No awnings allowed this year.

feck, not what i wanted to hear, not going to be on road till 14:00 at earliest, suspect I'll wind up camping in squishy piss sodden ground

  • Subscribers, Paid Member Posts: 43,703 ✭✭✭✭sydthebeat

Nah it's not heavy and it's been dry for most the week, so the ground will be well able to take this morning's spitting.

  • Subscribers, Paid Member Posts: 43,703 ✭✭✭✭sydthebeat

dry now and looks to be blowing over for the day.

    be grand 😉

Anyone in Campervan site A? How's it filling up? I won't be down until close to 6 so at this stage I'm assuming I'll be in the overflow site

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,802 ✭✭✭Penfailed
