I'd hardly call them illuminated PJ. Maybe they have candles with them when they kick people out of their homes, but that's semantics

That's how it ended up . Gaza is inhabitable forever

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 850 ✭✭✭batman75

I actually feel sorry for all those posters defending Israel. They are showing themselves up as lacking in any humanity. They show a distinct lack of self awareness. They can offer no credible defence for Israel beyond anti semitism, Hamas are terrorists and their is no genocide etc. God forbid you came back with the Holocaust never happened etc. (Yes the holocaust did happen).

As Gideon Levy said in the Jewish mind they are the victims. The only victims. They are the chosen people etc. Of course any rational person knows that this mindset is simply bonkers.

A bit creepy . But I'm from Eire mo Chara . What's your ASL ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,698 ✭✭✭Frank Grimes

Not creepy, I'm just asking questions. You replied to a poster with "Meanwhile 600k people are living in poverty in your own country.", in the context of all your other posts, why would someone from Ireland refer to Ireland as "your own country"?

I'm from Dublin btw just so you don't have an excuse to not answer my question. I'm not your friend either so please cut that shít out, but given your posting style you'll probably just double down on that patronising crap.

It happened but sure it was only for a brief time, no biggie, right?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 850 ✭✭✭batman75

Never said that PJ. Your clearly struggling to understand what you're reading. I can't help you with that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,698 ✭✭✭Frank Grimes

Also I'd expect someone from Ireland to know what a fada is and when to use it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,710 ✭✭✭✭pjohnson

No very easy to see what you are saying and then trying to weasel out of.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 850 ✭✭✭batman75

If you don't understand what you're reading that's on you. I weasel out of nothing. If you support Israel come out and say. Tell us why if you do.

this absolutely. How are we at a point where this kind of talk is allowed? Holocaust denial is a crime and we are allowing people to come in here and lie on a daily basis, commenting on Palestinian parents weight for gods sake. That’s what we’ve become. I got a warning for calling another poster “sad” earlier. Personal abuse apparently. It’s absolutely unbelievable.

Look at the British doctor on sky news now, who was there until last week. Talking about cluster injuries on people that have been shot. One day all in the chest. The next day all in the testicles. No coincidence. And people advocate for this. Because Hamas need to “cop on” in the exact words of one poster. Seriously. Depressing stuff.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 601 ✭✭✭Lawlesz

it’s absolutely not what he said. Not even close. This rhetoric is ridiculous. It was mentioned last week, you people waiting for some bit of language you can pounce on, then spend hours deflecting the conversation.

It’s not what he said. He says it’s not what he said. I’m sure plenty of other posters see what he meant. How long do you plan derailing the conversation trying to convince the poster what he meant? Are you so desperate for a win?

What is wrong with saying your own country ? Where do you think I'm from mo Chara ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,095 ✭✭✭Sudden Valley

No one says they are from Eire, if they are actually from here. Such a weird thing to say.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,563 ✭✭✭✭My name is URL

People arguing against war crimes here should just take the gloves off at this point and get stuck into the scumbags defending the murder, displacement and dehumanising of innocent people.

    **** them

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,177 ✭✭✭Sweet.Science

How dare a person from Eire say they are from Eire . Is that right ? Mo Chara . I should speak the tongue of the oppressor?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,698 ✭✭✭Frank Grimes

Because in the context of your posts saying "your own country" strongly implies you are from outside of Ireland, and as Sudden Valley said nobody here will say they are from Éire. I have no idea where you are from, and I don't believe for a minute it's Ireland, that's why I am asking you.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,095 ✭✭✭Sudden Valley

Generally the British refer to Ireland as Eire. Which i suspect you are from. You could have just said Ireland

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,563 ✭✭✭✭My name is URL

Can you speak any of your native language without spelling mistakes, or what might appear on an American postcard?

Eire being a British phrase is the most absurd thing I've heard. The country has lost the plot.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,698 ✭✭✭Frank Grimes

It would be absurd for someone either not native to the country/living here long enough/not having any association with Ireland at all, which is why I do not believe you. You still aren't spelling it correctly either.

Nearly one in 10 children are severely or acutely malnourished. If they survive, it will impact them for ever. I expect many will simply die.

Seems the EC have just realised that Israel sold them a whopper.

    • The rate of child malnutrition in Gaza has risen to 8.8 percent from 2.4 in February, according to the UN's Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. Based on a screening of 56,440 children in Gaza, the OCHA report found that almost 5,000 were severely malnourished and 838 were acutely malnourished.
    • A European Commission spokesperson said that while Israel has made some effort towards improving the humanitarian condition in Gaza, it remains dire, adding that "all options remain on the table" if Israel does not deliver on an agreement made with the EU earlier this month, which includes substantially more aid getting into the Strip.

Why would anyone reply to any of the horrible posts here about what is happening in Gaza?

Any decent person can see the truth of the situation which is why posts that give the people who post such crap a way to further inflame the thread should be questioned.

The crescendo of calls against Israel's Genocide continues unabated.

Unlike some posts here, the UK Israelis fully accept that Israel is committing "heinous crimes" and condemns them.

Supporters of Israel really are going to be in the wrong side of history.

    • Over 200 Israelis living in the U.K. called on the British government to apply pressure on Israel to end the war in Gaza, including by suspending military cooperation and sanctioning organizations. "We watch Israel commit heinous crimes and we ask you, our representatives in the U.K., to act," said the letter penned by Mi-Neged, which calls itself a group of UK-based Israelis "fighting for justice and equality for all."

Betcha Israel won't be closing their embassy in Paris anytime soon.

I trust she'll be able to delay matters for at least six years, same as the length of time alleged War Criminal #1 (at large) has been dodging justice.

"A terminally ill 73-year-old Israeli woman has been charged with plotting to assassinate Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with a rocket launcher, prosecutors have said."

Seems Starmer has had a change of mind:

Sir Keir Starmer has condemned the "unspeakable and indefensible" humanitarian conditions in Gaza after aid groups warned of mass starvation in the territory.

In a statement, the prime minister said the situation had been "grave for some time" but it has "reached new depths".

"We are witnessing a humanitarian catastrophe," Sir Keir said.

I still remember the sick feeling in my stomach when October 7th happened. Gazans and supporters of HAMAS online (mainly Muslims) we're celebrating wildly. The feeling I felt immediately wasn't for the innocent Israeli's although it probably should have. It was for what was going to happen to Gaza and the people there.

While supporters of HAMAS celebrated I thought what a bunch of idiots those guys were. The killings were so brutal and in such a big number I knew Gaza was fucked. Nearly 2 years later GAZA is exactly how I thought it'd be. A pile of ruins.

There's not clear cut evidence for it but my gut feeling tells me some part of the Israeli regime may have purposely not taken the warning signs recently so they could go in the way they have. There's a similar theory about 9/11.

HAMAS and Iran are absolute idiots for approving the attack. They should have attacked and strictly targeted Israeli law enforcement and military personnel only and kidnapped if possible instead of killing. I would have called that a smarter move and ultimately it would have ended with a very large prisoner swap favouring HAMAS. But their lust for Jewish blood and extremism was too strong.
