Million pounds mark passed in under 24 hours is a bit mad. I know it'll slow down from here but that is pretty impressive. Thinking about going for the upgrade board even though I only really play the 8 bit stuff (and some next games) which my KS1 is capable of playing anyway. Fomo is ridiculous isn't it.

Ya FOMO is ridiculous alright, I backed this one as well :)

Still not sure what differences between this and the Issue 2 one

2nd sd slot internally for firmware (supposedly upgradable over WiFi) and a bigger FPGA are the two big differences I think.

Oh right, I think they need to be careful not to isolate the Issue 1 & 2 owners with all the extra enhancements.

Yeah, definitely. They've stated core Next features will always be available to all 3 versions, but I know already with the QL side of things, my KS1 has a stripped down version compared to KS2.

Wonder will they come up with any more stretch goals now they've hit 1.5 million pounds.

I suspect they will, but generally fine with what is being suggested up to now. 4.5k backers as of today with 3 weeks still open for late backers, so maybe there'll be a push to present more incentives.

Other cores are obviously a predictable request, but other than the likes of the Sam, which is admittedly kind of a natural nostalgic extension, I'm not too bothered if they leave it as it is. Guess we'll wait and see, but would be in danger of being little more than a nice to have, than actually being a preferred method of using the computer - especially considering the variety of ways to enjoy core implementations these days, but fine if they go down that route.

One suggestion, that I'm sure has been put forth in the comments, certainly was on the last run, was a dust cover. Would like to see that, as I've spent more than a few quid down the years tracking down nice, presentable fabric/vinyl options for a variety of devices, so to have one in the box from the getgo would be welcome.

2 million pounds mark passed, pretty impressive with just under a week to go.

CPC core confirmed, C64 was already in the bag, hopefully the ZX81 core will have chroma support. All in all it's been a good Kickstarter and plenty to look forward to. The new Monty Mole game will be a bit of a nostalgic hit too.
