    The guarantee with that place was all photography and phones were banned. Nobody was allowed to film other people.

    Those were the rules. No agreement, no entry. I'd say it would be pretty difficult to get a "smoking gun" from that place.

    Fair , but that doesn't mean there are aren't records of calls between the various people or other evidence of attendance/involvement in events hosted by Epstein.

    There are mountains of documents related to the case - I am absolutely confident that Trumps name is all over them along with many others.

    The vast majority of those entries are probably largely benign or as benign as they could be under the circumstances but they would absolutely legitimately open him up to questions of

    "What were you doing there?"

    "What did you see?"

    "What did you know and when did you know it?"

    "If you didn't know , how could you not have known?"

    "Did you do anything to stop him?"

    Etc. etc. ad infinitum.

    If papers with his name come out , it'll be a never ending sh!t show for him and it would be fully deserved as he was the one that pulled this front and centre into the political space in the US

    Was that rule not just for ''customers'' so to speak?
    I wouldn't be at all surprised if Epstein/Maxwell and their people had there own clandestine audio/video recording systems in place on the island.

    That's the thing, there's likely no actual evidence of Trump engaging in anything illegal in Epstein's files (possibly just as likely there's no evidence related to anyone. I know there were lots of theories going around that Epstein may have recorded such things, possibly blackmailed people… where it's just as likely he was very secure and confidential about it and that's why such guys kept returning to him).

    But even just showing that Trump was closer to Epstein than what we already know is still hugely damaging to Trump, particularly when it comes to such insidious remarks as "Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret" which in the context of what we know of Epstein's crimes, is pretty damn nasty…

    I'm inclined to believe this but there must be some reason he's refusing to release them. Like, I don't expect ironclad evidence that he raped children but there must be enough to prove it beyond reasonable doubt.

    Even if there isn't, he's doing everything possible to convince everyone outside MAGA that he's a child molester.

    Indeed it suited their needs at the time - they took a lot of “mud” from this box of tricks for their own end and some of it stuck - unfortunately for them, the baying crowd now want to see what’s in the box 😀

    I’m enjoying this week immensely - it’s given me some “hope” that MAGA are not invincible - I’m not quite sure if America is fully awake or are there still journalists, opposition politicians and commentators still asleep at the wheel - this isn’t an opportunity they will get every day so they need to use it wisely - no harm in indulging in fake news MAGA tactics for a while - the more we see of Trump and Epstein pictured together, the better

    Personally rather than his direct involvement , I think it's more that the evidence would indicate that he knew exactly what was going on and did nothing about it which would still be incredibly damaging to him with is base.

    I don't think you’re wrong - the flight logs alone of “lolita express” would make for interesting reading- obviously being on his plane or indeed island proves nothing but maybe the gloves need to come off and any republicans found to have dealings with Epstein should be doorstepped and put on the six o clock news for a while - they might take the wind from their MAGA sails- it’s delicious seeing MAGA try and fail to deal with all of this - long may the story run

    The "true believer" types do care I think which is why this won't go away.

    The QANON Pizzagate brigade who are fully bought into the whole deep state conspiracy stuff genuinely believe in the existence of this cabal of Elites that traffick children and scheme to rule the world.

    Their support for Trump is predicated on him being the one to bring it all to an end and for there to be these mass show trials "clearing house" and so on.

    They aren't the majority of the base , but they are enough that if they move away it weakens his grip on the party , especially his threats to primary GOP opponents..

    I kindof half agree- but we’re in a different world now- journalists can get edgy and write extreme news that sells when they want to- there’s no better time to make money in journalism by writing about Trump Epstein, Trumps health, Trump under pressure - it will all make tons of money- now’s the time for the pile on - in a few days Trump will likely bomb some Middle Eastern country accusing it of having nuclear weapons or something just to make these headlines go away

    All part of the "legend" built by the conspiracy theories..

    The existence of cameras might have some strands of truth , but it was built out into this vast conspiracy where Epstein was a foreign operative who had collected all of this awful "kompromat" on the American Elite that was being in turn used by a hidden cabal of evil people to control the world.

    Yeah he almost certainly had some sort of security/CCTV system at his properties, and there could be a lot of things on that regarding how often certain people visited, how long they spent, who else was there etc, but that doesn't necessarily mean there's footage of whatever illegal activities took place. And Epstein may have deleted any such incriminating footage, because ultimately if he was facilitating all these things for others as well as engaging in it himself, it would have been evidence against him too.

    In fairness I didn’t believe all of that- but “ordinary” papers - uk, Irish, American- did report at the time that there was tons of CCTV in his NY house - so even getting those recordings if they still existed would raise many questions and indeed eyebrows I’m sure around who was pictured coming (no not that way 🤣) and going - but none of that appears to be anywhere .

    As Penn says - Totallly believe that there's security footage of the foot door etc. that would show the comings and goings to the property but I really don't think he had hidden cameras in the boudoir or whatever.

    Apparently the 250 dollar fee is refundable if you leave within the required time or close to it, can’t remember which .
    but the usual ESTA fee has risen I think - it will be small change overall though - it won’t put a positive dent in finances really
