It's interesting to note that even quite a few MAGA types are not on board the Zionist train e.g. Tucker Carlson, Steve Bannon and Candace Owens. It seems to be more the religious nutters like Ted Cruz and Mike Huckabee.

You want to beat the Israeli's then you need to Untangle their web over the western world. Too many doo gooders here who think whining at Israel will make a difference. Breaking news you won't and if current anti Israeli strategies persist Israel will be stronger and bigger in a hundred year's then now. I was going to say bigger then ever but we all know the Jewish region was bigger way back then.

I might not have been clear enough for you. I couldn't care less what you think.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,154 ✭✭✭RoyalCelt

Frankly speaking I don't care what you think either. I've no emotional attachment to anybody in this chat.

The Iranian conflict recently shed a bright light on that space. I always thought those boys were in bed with the Israeli's but it turns out they're on the payroll of the Russian/Iran alliance instead. Clowns the lot of them. I'm pretty sure they've just sold their services to the highest bidder.

I don't value an Indian (or any) life less, v odd thing to say tbh. In this poll, 11% of Indians are very favourable towards Israel, Vs 17% very unfavourable. It was the population size that made me mention it.

This is replicated the world over - there are more many more people who detest Israel than love it (I accept these are the strongest ends of the scale), with the sole exception in the world being Nigeria. I'm sure the figures weren't near this before the war.

Huge outliers (over 70% disapproval) are Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Greece, Australia and Japan, and almost all of Europe bar Hungary have disapproval over 60%. In the UK, 31% are very unfavorable Vs 7% very favourable.

These views are clearly not playing out in our politicians, which is extremely strange - I guess change takes time to vote change in. But the world sees what is going on, and at some stage there will be kickback, and any politician enabling this genocide will be stained.

Oh right were you taking to them?

Not too lucky for the 3 who were killed eh

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,706 ✭✭✭Frank Grimes

No, you're just here to post bigoted conspiracy theories I guess.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,154 ✭✭✭RoyalCelt

It goes back to what I said before but it'll just be labeled a conspiracy. Israel runs the West and until all their sympathisers realize it, it'll never change. Just look at this thread alone. They start pulling the anti Semitic card which is up there with the islamaphobia play in my book.

    They've been duped.

Seems some nations are waking up and taking positive action against the Israeli genocide.

Of course, Ben-Gvir is a convicted terrorist so it's unlikely he'll be going anywhere soon anyhow.

Slovenia has banned the entry of far-right Israeli ministers Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich, on the grounds that they incite "grave violations of Palestinians' human rights with their genocidal statements," according to Slovenian Press Agency STA. Slovenia is the first EU state to declare them personae non gratae.

A court in Antwerp decided that a container of roller bearings destined for an Israeli defense company which produces tanks and armored vehicles deployed by the IDF in Gaza must remain in the city's port, news agency Belga reported. The court sided in its ruling with four non-profits which argued that the regional government was violating its own arms trade legislation and international humanitarian law by allowing the transit of military equipment through the port.

A bit more detail on the tank attack on the Church.

What is odd is the Foreign Ministry statement - deep sorrow over the damage. No mention of the dead and wounded…

Further, the statement "Israel never targets churches or religious sites and regrets any harm to a religious site or to uninvolved civilians" is astonishing. So far, the IDF have sniped nuns, demolished mosques and even excavated and flattened graveyards.

And telling that they add "published transparently" - meaning nothing normally is published at all and those responsible are given a slap on the wrist - even if they anally rape a prisoner with an iron bar.

The IDF said that it was "aware of reports regarding damage caused to the Holy Family Church in Gaza City and casualties at the scene," adding that the "circumstances of the incident are under review." Israel's Foreign Ministry expressed "deep sorrow over the damage" to the church, adding that "Israel never targets churches or religious sites and regrets any harm to a religious site or to uninvolved civilians," and that the results of the IDF investigation "will be published transparently."

Amos Harel has written plenty of opinion pieces - this one is particularly on the ball - especially the last sentence.

Since Israel's failure to prevent the October 7 massacre, its offensive, belligerent line in the region has been evident – and even more so after its military successes in Lebanon, Syria and Iran.

The Israeli government is acting like it can do whatever it pleases. It's also reasonable to suspect that the government is taking advantage of real tensions in the various arenas to maintain the constant flame of war for its political needs"

Guy Levi in ripping form here.

I guess he's just given any and every terrorist carte Blanche to do the same to Israel for holding Palestinian hostages.

Guy Levi, a spokesman for Netanyahu's Likud party, told the far-right Channel 14 that Israel's "message to the world is:

If someone kidnaps an Israeli citizen – he needs to know that we will kill him, and then his surroundings, and then his village, and then his city, his country, and we will bring everyone home."

How this tallies with 'the only democracy in the Middle East' is anyone's guess. They are acting like an out of control and thuggish vigilante with a baseball bat and have been for some considerable time.

Netenyahu has repeatedly said even if the hostages are released the war will not end.

“We’ll take the deal, we’ll bring the hostages home — and then we’ll continue the war.”

    — Benjamin Netanyahu, quoted on May 6, 2024

Wasting your time as I did. They will read that, ignore it and later say that they didn't know of it. It's what they do.

    I can have 2 thoughts cant I?

I can be against settlements in the WB and also think the Palestinians made a mess of the situation for decades, where they must cop on and try a new strategy to get what they want, cause what they are doing at the moment aint working!

Do you think what the Israelis are doing is working?

It's working for their Zionist plans that's for sure.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,154 ✭✭✭RoyalCelt

    According to the BBC

Three hundred members of the Druze religious minority were killed, including 146 fighters and 154 civilians, 83 of whom were "summarily executed" by government forces, the SOHR said on Thursday evening.

At least 257 government personnel and 18 Bedouin fighters were also killed, while three Bedouin civilians were summarily killed by Druze fighters, it added.

Another 15 government personnel were killed in the Israeli airstrikes.

There are videos of Druze and Christian students being attacked and run out of Aleppo university.

Repeatedly said? That was 13 months ago.

Like when he was flying planes to Iran and had to recall them when Trump rang him, if the hostages are released, the international pressure will be such that Netanyahu won't have a choice.

If any of Israel's actions since 2023 suggested that the release of hostages was their only goal, I might believe it. But their actions clearly suggest the hostages are not even their primary goal. Destroying Hamas, and Gaza, and removing its population, is their primary goal.

Do your best to convince me that permanently housing two million people in a concentration camp in the ruins of Rafah is the best way to secure the release of hostages. If it is not the best way to release the hostages, then they are doing it for other reasons.

More war crimes - Israel is levelling Gaza.

    Satellite imagery is shocking.

And people here seem to believe all of that is for the hostages and they would stop if they were returned.

    p0lqrlkv.png

This is Rafah. They are just methodically laying waste to it in preparation for putting the world's largest prison there. Two million people not allowed to leave. No schools, no nothing. A Nazi's wet dream with full internation support.

"Oh but we have to remember what Palestine did 76 years ago."

"This would stop tomorrow if the hostages were released."

The Israelis are Nazis. They've literally told the world they are and then gone on to show it. I'm sure Auschwitz was a Humanitarian camp as well ….

Getting the hostages back… please. I mean couldn't you argue that the reason Hamas attacked TWO YEARS AGO was because they were attempting to get back their thousands of hostages back? Or I wonder does it only work if you're a white person from NY with a Mediterranean pad…

    Dream job.

I'm sorry to be picking on your posts, and it isn't my intention to try to discredit them, they're well made and thought out. But just to reiterate the importance of Hamas getting out of there and maybe there would be a chance of the slaughter stopping.

"Israel's campaign has four stated goals: to destroy Hamas, to free the hostages, to ensure Gaza no longer poses a threat to Israel, and to return displaced residents of Northern Israel".

The above is Israels stated goals, freeing the hostages was only number two on the list. We all well know now that that wasn't their main aim at all. The destruction of Hamas and in doing that destroying Gaza to the point that number three is achieved. The fourth doesn't matter so much.
