    Perhaps downloading your data would also download the messages from the subpage you created?

    Is that a simple process?Can I search how to do it?Can I just navigate to it on my facebook page?

    Edit:I found it easily explained by searching :facebook "download data"

    I will give it a go and see if they are still there ...

    No ,they aren't there. I don't even see the headers .The messages on the main page came through but nothing about the message headers on the subpage I created (many years ago -maybe 10 years ago)

    I suspect those messages may have come before Messenger was rolled out (but I am no expert and I don't think there is any date on the messages.I do know who sent them but I don't want to ask them about it)

    Can I ask someone in Facebook to find the details for me or is this as far as I can go?

    You can definitely ask, it's likely the messages are in some database somewhere that they'll need to query manually
