    Those slate things were a craze about 10 or 12 years ago. Charity shops and carboots sales are full of the stuff from slate clocks to slate tablemats.

    so basically, she had her bag on her back and was pickpocketed and is now shocked? I cannot understand people who walk around with their bag on their back and not lock it with even a karabiner, its behind you, you cant see it and these people know what they're doing that's how they make their living.
