    1 EUR = 1 point

Example: 5 EUR voucher for 500 points

    5/500 = 0.01 EUR per point 😂

€5 and €10 the only redeemable monetary rewards now too. Redeemable once each per quarter.

Must run in to Lidl later to spend €1000 to get my €10 voucher for my next shop. They could learn a few things from Dunnes.

unless you’re doing huge shops then I doubt the vouchers only being available once per quester will cause too much issues, I’ve been using two phones to collect the points and scratch cards because two of us shop and it’s slow to get a cash out for us

You need to spend 1500 in a quarter to get the 10 and 5 so not a big restriction in practice for most!

i got 75 points immediately i signed in to the app yesterday afternnoon. Haven't seen the points for the purchases I made a few minutes later yet.

Different matter: today I got a Lidl Bakery Super Spin - spin the wheel and get a bakery treat - but the coupon can only be redeemed in Enniscorthy (where i shopped yesterday), Carlow or Kildare, not in my designated "local" Lidl! Would this happen to be places where there's an ALDI bakery nearby?? Not that I'm the cynical type or anything…..

Has anyone purchased the footspa and is it a decent one? thanks

Does the new points system mean the end of the scratchcards? If so I think Im deleting the app, not much point using a system that only gives you a €2.50 bag of jellies for spending €250. Its a 1% payback making it pretty pointless.

I spent e14 the other day, just checked now and got a scratcher. Woohoo 30% off Redhen

thanks for the info. About the only thing that has me still using the app is getting a free pastry on a scratchcard every third shop or so. If they get rid of that then I doubt I'll bother with it anymore as 30% off Red Hen or whatever is going is no use to me.

I had ditched it but realised I was missing out on quantity discounts of bread, etc.

Now we know what he was doing for all the weeks he took off.

Another reason not to shop in Lidl.

Edit: And don't you mean whoy, whoy?

After stealing €350k per year from the taxpayer for however many years, surely he can't be that hard up for a few bob that he has to whore himself out to a discount Supermarket?

Whats the joe controversy? Just another rte paying them too much for what we perceive they're worth?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37,064 ✭✭✭✭odyssey06

This is why the benefits from Lidl plus including points are so crap... paying for Joe's "pension".

Are there different offers in geographical areas or is it a real-time in-store stock monitor? www.lidl.ie 😯

In the UK (mainland) they always have store specific qpons at the end of the list.

I note the Rivecote Cream Crakers (that's what the receipt says) is 55c 41c. However, they seem to have changed ingredients/recipe as they are not nice

so pulled up at a store, not my regular store, see a bag of compost broken all over the pallet , got a notion to pick most of it up and put it in a shopping bag (Lidl) I happened to have handy. Went in to ask could I have this or at a reduced rate cos it’s broken and was told no we can’t reduce compost, wait I’ll ask my manager, manager apparently says no too, but wait , he gives me a brand new plastic shopping bag to replace the one I used to collect the compost in . So the bag will be sent to waste and I don’t get it but I am welcome to pay 3.99 for an unbroken bag of compost .

At least he replaced your bag in fairness. Maybe if it ever happens again you can pop in first and ask the manager if they mind if you clean up their 'waste/rubbish' outside and take it away FOC. Although they might not even allow that as potentially that might encourage people to deliberately damage them. (Not implying you would do that at all.)

From my own experience of their tills, it literally is 'computer says no' with very little ability for even managers to override anything out of the ordinary, so I can 100% believe the till won't allow discounts on anything they've locked out like peat.

The below is a general 'signature' and not part of any post:

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

Public transport user? If you're sick of phantom ghost services on the 'official' RTI sources, check bustimes.org for actual 'real' RTI, if it's on their map it actually exists.
