Honestly, could be anything. The 6 would be based on SKs and wolves getting 3 (SK + Wolf munch + Wolf Vig) and village getting two killing powers and lynch. (Probably mathematically unlikely but I'll let someone else worry about that). I think with the control thing, we're going to have to play the wait and see game.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,602 ✭✭✭Gertrude WW

What about the wording of the SKs makes you wonder if they can kill? It's basically their job description so I'd imagine they have one kill in a day/night phase or over a 24 hr period. Neither of them can draw too much attention to themselves as they both die if one is killed. Alternatively, they make as much noise as possible so everyone thinks they couldn't possibly be the SK, but that makes them a yeet or munch target.

Flavour munch is possible tomorrow morning, but some role actions may also take place.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,602 ✭✭✭Gertrude WW

That would be be a nightmare if the wolf priest was still alive but would get a lot of useful information on thread if they were one of the six killed.

saying I’m cosying up to you when i was saying i liked your slot. If you were reaction testing, well, you got my reaction, what you’re doing now is digging where no digging is needed.

You even admitted it was a reaction test.

What reaction were you expecting, were you not trying to provoke me?

If you poke the nest and get stung, don’t blame the nest.

"So the rest of the players are NRV’s… kind of… actually no. Most will be with the exception of 2 silent Serial Killers"

The way they are introduced but flavour be flavour so I'm 99% sure they do tbf.

Yeah I'm assuming that certain powers will be in play on Monday, I just meant munch time announcement (if there is on) is likely to be just flavour based on the times in the OP.

Ok so I was trying to put a little pressure on someone I thought was potentially doing something dodgy. Thats how I play.. And that means I'm acting like a dick? Bit of an overreaction, no?

By that standard nobody can really push anyone with a question

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,566 ✭✭✭Vernon WW

was going to ask what makes them silent, then done a word search on the op and realised i skipped over that paragraph in the op. Don’t know how i done it, but just missed it completely, even on multiple reads of it and committing to memory. Paragraph blindness or something like that. Even just scanning there for it i couldn’t find it so i done a search and book, there it is. I can’t explain it,

So not question to you anymore but just a general question, what makes them silent?
maybe they poison. Poison is a silent killer.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,194 ✭✭✭Abigail WW

Could be, but again, flavour be flavour. Maybe it means we'll be told 2 players are dead in munch announcement but don't get told who killed whom? Or maybe it just means they don't announce that they are SKs on thread 🤣

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 2,259 ✭✭✭Emily WW

I would think silent means that the death isn't announced as caused by anyone, just that a death has occurred.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,566 ✭✭✭Vernon WW

of course they can, and reactions are expected. It’s werewolf, not some cosy tea party. We are allowed to call people out for dodgy behaviour, point out if they are being silly or behaving strangely, be aggressive in our approach; it’s in the rules. Can we get on with playing the game now and you stop acting like you’ve been slapped in the face with a wet face cloth?

Id be very shocked if we have serial killers who can't kill, its pretty much given in the role

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,566 ✭✭✭Vernon WW

expanding on this. The mechanic of one fake one real poison has been used before.

Where two players are poisoned, and only one of the poisons are real, and the sks can fake poison themselves.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 4,429 ✭✭✭Brendan WW

Until there is a serial killer kill though we won't know. One of those things we'll find out when it happens

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,566 ✭✭✭Vernon WW

true true, speculation killed the cat and all that

Right, I've spent the last hour reading back on the 185 posts to date, now that I'm normal levels of tired and not inhuman levels of jetlagged 😂

Honestly, my biggest red flags so far have come on Senan.

Vernon is creating a lot of noise, and their egg theory was born out of absolutely nothing, but as a Day 1 situation, I don't know if a wolf plays that loud and aggressive off the bat. I'll state this part will come back into the post latter. They also made one claim about the game that I think is entirely wrong, beyond some more overt mistaken assumptions, but I'm leaving it as a note for now.

The biggest frustrations reading back through early posts though is there's people partily reading the OP, but very clearly not reading ALL of the OP before posting their thoughts.

    My worries with Senan….

He's the first poster to kick things off, and asks what "Darklight will not show his true self" means. Even without ever playing any of the Luigi Mansion games, I knew exactly what that meant when I read it; the Enderman is protected from peeks. The fact it was confirmed later in the OP, under Luigi's description, makes it more surprising that someone wouldn't understand it immediately. And my inital thought was "well, maybe Senan is a new player and doesn't get that sort of baddy role".

Except Senan also later admits he's played the game where a wolf took control of another account on being killed, which means they've absolutely played plenty. So choosing to highlight that sort of thing in their OP feels off.

Post 66, he states "Im not convinced a wolf posts as crazy out there as vernon is... but its certainly unusual!"

Which just feels like such a fluffy "Hello fellow villagers" post. It's not that i disagree. It's the manner in which he slips it into the overall discussion. The post gives me a big ick. Overall, Senan just feels like one of those middle of the road wolves that will get far by always being vocal, but never saying anything too deep.

    Other reads.

    Abi, gut feeling, feels good.

Fiona and Patrick's thoughts about the illager feel good. Patrick said about one player controlling two; would it be too meta to check number of sign ups vs number of players? The OP states the illager controls the zombie, so I do think the two roles are tied. Could be he regenerates once into a zombie after death, could be he can convert someone into a zombie or activate a wolf cub, could be someone has to hand over their account to him if they manage to kill him. I don't know if the wolves would want too much discussion on the matter, and I liked that Fi and Pat initiated the thoughts.

Emily, Vernon were reading way too much into fluffy flavour text, which worries me. Gert and Wendy felt like they downplayed flavour and tried to focus on the facts.

Ok, that's my word vomit for the morning

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 1,201 ✭✭✭Senan WW

Yeah I definitely miss read it first and even confirmed my mistake later.. dont think I was the only one

Im not a new player and never tried to make out i was tbf

IIf It helps I'm a bit more suss on Vernon now!

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,705 ✭✭✭Isla WW

I feel Vernon has made himself quite an easy, large target.

What are your reads for other players?

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,566 ✭✭✭Vernon WW

"The OP states the illager controls the zombie"

No it doesn't. That's how you have interpreted it, or maybe you have too much information, and think that it was in the OP. it wasn't.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,705 ✭✭✭Isla WW

    No, Vernon, it literally states..

"The little illager was was outcast from his namesakes and turned Arch-illager when obtaining the Orb of dominance. He uses the Orb to control…..

    Zombie

    "

It's not like the hatching egg theory, it literally says it in that exact language.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 1,201 ✭✭✭Senan WW

He's ultra defensive and I dont like that. I know he's noisy but wolves do that too

Katie getting some shade but i dont see that yet

Abi and Gertrude seem like they're trying to solve things so they seem OK for now but its very early. Brendan too but slightly lesser extent

I don't think ive a read on many other yet

I was just about to question why people assume the illager controls the zombie, thats not how I read the OP. It might be true though

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 2,259 ✭✭✭Emily WW

I know nothing about Minecraft, so got confused about some of the flavour. Also I have been trying to discern the OP, Trigger edited the OP based on something I queried.

Also a major sticking point people had with me, was that I read the arch-illager wrongly as an alpha who controls the zombie, yet you have also read the OP as the arch-illager player controls the zombie, showing it depends how you read the ...

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,566 ✭✭✭Vernon WW

Since when is …. = zombie?

zombie also ends with …, does that mean

As useless in the game as they are in Minecraftzombie

you substituting … for zombie and saying it says it in the OP is why i think you have too much information.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,194 ✭✭✭Abigail WW

The problem with this reading of the OP is that ellipses are used elsewhere in it too, in fact the description of the zombie finishes on one also. My own read is that it's there to tease us and only the wolves will know for sure what the arch - illager controls. Interesting that your read is the same as Emily's though. Mine was that zombie is just a vanilla wolf with no special powers.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,411 ✭✭✭Wendy WW

How sure are you this is true, could it be interpreted any other way?

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,194 ✭✭✭Abigail WW

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 1,201 ✭✭✭Senan WW

But there is a distinction between the two?

Can you explain to me how one wolf controlling another helps? I don't see it

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 1,201 ✭✭✭Senan WW

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,566 ✭✭✭Vernon WW

You know something, I think you are right. And I'd derp village those slots that made that silly interpretation, so thats isla and emily, because the wolves know exactly what the orb does, and i don't think they would come up with this … = zombie nonsense, its too derpy to be a wolf plan.

isla and emily, sorry for thinking you had too much information, but when i partner it with its so frecking silly, well, at least it makes me think that thats TSTBW's. (too silly to be wolves)

If we can do it in some way that wont harm any cats, does anyone have any ideas on what a stun does?
