Mario Vs Minecraft Werewolf - Game Thread

Deep in the depths of the Spruce forest, within the halls of the woodland mansion, a team of mobs are gathering to devise a cunning plan to take over the Mushroom Kingdom on 3D land. They have had enough of their roundly drawn counterparts and vow to change the landscape block by block. 4 mobs have been tasked with eliminating those who decided to protect the realm. They are:

The Enderman

The Enderman is a Priest who learns the identity of the fallen by looking deep into their souls as they pass from the living world to death. If found and killed, their death activates autopriest from then on, while also revealing to the thread all the information they have gained throughout the game. Darklight will not show his true self.

The Creeper

The Creeper is the mob’s Vigilante, sneaks up on a player each day and detonates, as he dies he drops a respawn Egg that is activated immediately and he continues to terrorise the Village.

The Arch-illager

The little illager was was outcast from his namesakes and turned Arch-illager when obtaining the Orb of dominance. He uses the Orb to control…..

Zombie

As useless in the game as they are in Minecraft…

The Mobs plan to infiltrate the Mushroom Kingdom disguised in clothing provided by that dastardly Trigger! The Kingdom has got wind of their plans though and have assembled a crack team to try to weed them out and yeet them from Kingdom and using the Obsidian they have acquired from a wandering trader, they plan to lock them in the Nether where the Zombie Pigmen can feast on them. The team are going undercover and have stolen some of the same attire from Triggers oak chest. Behind what look like normal villagers we have:

Mario

Mario who activates a question mark block each night to use from the following day. The following power ups are available to him on a randed basis.

Question Mark block power ups:

• Super Mushroom (Block vig hits)
• Fire Flower (Kill, Specifically only works on arch-illager/Zombie/village/SK players)
• Super Star (makes the player invincible for cycle)
• Hammer Suit (Gains 2 hammers, can throw hammers at players, can choose to throw at one player, this stuns initially, then kills after a delay, or 2 seperate players to stun and block their votes)
• Tanooki Suit (Can turn player into a stone statue at will to protect themselves from enemies) 
• Cappy (Player can throw cappy on another player and when cappy returns that player will find out the players identity (delayed peak))
• Mega Mushroom (Turns player a humongous size and they can crush a player under their feet)
• Yoshi Egg (Crack open to unleash a hungry yoshi on a player)

Luigi

Mario's brother who is terrified of everything, has been given a hoover like device, called the Poltergust G-00, by his long time friend and ally Prof. E. Gadd to help combat the attack of the mobs.

Can use the stun and darklight feature on his Poltergust G-00 to stun a player and reveal their identity each night.

Princess Peach

Princess Peach is famously known for her self defense skills making her the perfect bodyguard for our players, one of which she can protect each cycle (munch to munch)

Toad

The Helpingist helper ever seen in Video games, Toad will help guide players through the many twists and turns (if they aren't deaded that is). Toad loves gifting presents so will give a gift to a player every night that they remain alive for that player to use the following day if they survive. What's the gift? One of the famed question mark block! (See power up’s available above)

So the rest of the players are NRV’s… kind of… actually no. Most will be with the exception of 2 silent Serial Killers that have teamed up to destroy both the mobs and the Villagers. They are:

Bowser & Steve 

Bowser has joined forces with Steve to take everyone down and claim all the Kingdoms and the Overworld for themselves, but with one caveat if one is killed they both die. Sure doesn’t Jack Black love himself anyways.

So who will come out on top? Let’s find out as we play…

Game Rules:

1) Once you are eliminated, do not post in the thread again. Absolutely no editing or deleting posts for any reason, once you make a post it cannot be changed. Eliminated players should also not thank active players posts, for obvious reasons. Once you are eliminated you will receive a PM with a link providing access to a safe space where you can discuss the game away from the view of the players as soon as Trigger can get to it.

2) Don’t cheat, it’s a game that relies heavily on the players having integrity. No PMing other players in the game. If you have any concerns about the game mechanics or the integrity of other players contact Trigger who will make a decision, if one is required to be made. Do not discuss any of this in game or elsewhere, and please don’t discuss any aspects of the game elsewhere on the site whilst the game is ongoing. Always remember, there may be secrets. 

3) Please all try to reasonably contribute to the game thread and always remember to get a vote in (where it is possible for you to do so) as a minimum. 2 missed votes will result in a modkill. Arranging a substitution is not always possible unfortunately.

4) No posting of any PM's from the game mod. You may refer to the information contained within if you wish, but paraphrase, do not quote them verbatim.

5) Game starts with Saturday/Sunday considered as an extended Day 1, with the first Yeet at 9.30pm Monday Evening (some role actions may take place prior to this on Monday only, no actions will take place on the SaturdaySunday). After 9.30pm Monday will be considered night 1. Set time for Munch is 10am & for Yeet is 9.30pm. This game will operate a semi closed night with the thread being closed at 11pm and will re-open at 10am. This is to give both the mod and the players a bit of a break from the game.

6) You will be provided with a voting code in your role PM. Do not share your vote form password to anyone else. All votes for the eliminations/yeets have to be made by yourself. Voting will be done via Google Yeeting forms with the link provided in the OP. In the event of a tied vote on an elimination/yeet, the yeeted player will be decided by last vote cast. 7) Policy on Abuse: Boards has a no-abuse rule in place that is in effect in this forum as well. By all means, call people on dodgy behaviour, point out if they are being silly or behaving strangely, be aggressive in your approach; but DO NOT abuse another player. If you feel another player has stepped over a line, the first step is to ask them to stop; if they do not, please PM a forum mod (Trigger) or use the report button on the post in question. Forum mods will investigate and action any issues at an appropriate time, keeping the game mods informed of any actions as needed.

8) Semi -Autopriest: This game runs with a Semi- autopriest so a player’s role will be revealed after their demise once the Enderman has been killed (see Enderman role above).

9) Have fun, make memes, take the piss and try to enjoy the game. Be aware that there are new players having their first experience, don’t look in grey areas not covered by these rules for any advantages and try to make the game enjoyable for all. This is an anonymous game so please don’t post in the thread under your real boards identity if you can help it, and if you do please quote the post with your anon account so players can associate the post with the correct account.

NB: Not a rule but important, especially given the drop off of Forum Games the past few years. We have new players playing or perhaps watching this game, so please make them feel welcome in the forum by behaving respectfully with your fellow players. If anyone new is reading this, we have a glossary of terms and acronyms which I have linked above, as well as the beginner’s guide, which is available to all within the werewolf sub forum. You can also PM Trigger for access to discuss the game away from view of the players.
