If a few are brought over for treatment that's fair enough but she wants something that is not part of the deal.

Let's get real here, she hasn't a notion of going back, the government will cave to pressure from the libs and her other kids will be brought over.

I'm cool with that. I'm not a heartless bastard and see it as a solid investment in people who have huge potential to contribute.

I'm more concerned about our governments ability to ACTUALLY waste money and continue to half ass the property cost issue because the majority of them are landlords. Hitting Airbnb and placing strict rules on what can be a BNB would directly impact rents and property prices.

Our property market has been hugely commodified, it's supercharged by this ****. This has a direct impact on literally everything else.

Investing in people who are living in hell on earth is not the problem. No matter how easy it is to blame immigrants and asylum seekers, they aren't the problem.

Who are "the libs" and how and why would the Government "cave to pressure" from them, whoever they are? Can you point to other examples of where the Irish Government has caved in to demands from "the libs"?

Posts an anti-semitic trope. Then claims the Irish are anti-semitic.

Honestly you couldn't make it up...

The libs eh? Galway is further west than I thought.

I've no bother helping someone out. If my country was like Gaza id be looking to get my kids out too by hook or by crook.

That is your standard whatabout Israel response.

It has been this way from October 7th onwards, release the hostages, surrender those who planned the horrific terrorist attacks and all this would be over. Unfortunately, Hamas put their own interests ahead of the welfare of their own people.

Netanyahu as a sociopath / psychopath doesn't give a toss about the hostages (which is one of the reasons he is hated by the hostage families). It has been very much in his political interest to keep the war / genocide going for two years.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,293 ✭✭✭✭blanch152

If what you say is true, that only adds to the mystery of why Hamas haven't released the hostages and called his bluff.

Unfortunately I don't think I can without getting moderated. Ask me in a PM and I'll be happy to oblige.

The MENA (Middle East North Africa) region is really big, should be able to find refuge somewhere there … right?

I suppose we shouldn't be at all surprised to find that the usual suspects who are delighted to see Israel carry out an ethnic cleansing slaughter in Gaza would be banging the anti immigrant drum too.

    :/

Normal people don't support or justify Genocide.

But you are of course free to continue to post your own support and justification.

    Haaretz editorial:

    "For President Donald Trump's attention:

When the person submitting your name as a candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize is promoting the construction of a concentration camp – into which the entire population of the Gaza Strip will be herded, with no ability to leave unless people 'choose' to emigrate – it's not clear whether he is being a sycophant or sabotaging your candidacy"

Antisemitism is a hatred or prejudice towards jews simply for being jews. It's the same as racism. It's what's termed an ontological crime. It's a hatred of someone simply for being something. So a dislike of jewish people for being jewish. A dislike of black people for being black. A dislike of muslims for being muslim.

For antisemitism it doesn't matter who the person is. It doesn't matter what they believe or what they do. It matters what they are.

There are some muslims I hate because they are horrible people. I don't hate all muslims. Just the ones who have committed horrific actions.

Likewise I feel the same about jewish people. I dislike the ones who feel it's ok to bomb children in gaza. But it has nothing to do with what they are (jewish) it's about who they are (assholes).

If you try to say that because we think some jewish people like far right zionists are nasty people, it means we're antisemitic, then you're just stretching.

Antisemitism does exists. just like racism exists. And honestly it is horrible. And trying to claim that someone who is against israeli actions in gaza/West bank is antisemitic, distracts from actual antisemitism.

Getting harder for them to hide their out-n-out racism...

To be honest Sean, almost all of us already knew it, but good you finely lifted the mask for those who didn't that all the disinformation you have posted, all the witty anecdotes about "da joos", all the intriguing and interesting references to WW2 - have all been just a thinly veiled smokescreen for "Muzlimz out".

That's a pathetic response and your credibility is in tatters. I have seen it all now. You can make a bold statement in public ("Ireland is anti-semitic") but you cannot back it up with a single reason. Not one. PM me the scary reason so but I will publish it here under my name. We're all adults and I prefer open debate.

    Waiting...

Nowhere in my post do I support or justify Genocide.

You have now come off the fence and supported Hamas keeping innocent civilian hostages.

Release the hostages has been the demand since day 1.

Was it my imagination or did Trump look pissed off when Netanyahu handed over the nomination papers in front of the cameras? Even the Trumpster must have known that to be nominated by a wanted war criminal for the Nobel prize was an absolute terrible look.

    I disagree.

By saying what Israel is doing, of it's own free will, to innocent people in Gaza is the responsibility or fault of a terrorist or militia, and not the actual people doing it, you are textbook excusing and justifying what is going on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,293 ✭✭✭✭blanch152

Wait a minute, are you saying like some other posters appear to be saying that Hamas should be allowed to continue holding hostages?

Yes, who said this? Show us the quote.

    Don't expect a response.

Yesterday you stated that Israel was a democracy. I asked - Do the Palestinians in the West Bank, Arab East Jerusalem and the Golan get to vote?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 3,665 ✭✭✭dmcdona

Actually, you do and you have. You're more than happy for Israel to continue its Genocide whilst Hamas sit on their hands. You've made that point abundantly clear. Unless of course you'd like to clarify your position and condemn Israel for its abhorrent atrocity of Genocide?

For the record, my posting history is there for all to see. I've said for over 600 days that the hostages should be released and Hamas need to be neutralised. But as you know, if you've read my posts, Hamas have offered to release all hostages in one go since the spring. It is Israel that is sitting in its hands. The reasons are in what I posted yesterday. Politically, alleged War Criminal #1 (at large) wants the Genocide to continue and the hostages to stay where they are to give him some kind of a fig leaf of cover. He's even building a Concentration Camp. Is that something you approve of? Or will it be the same old "but Hamas something something"?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,293 ✭✭✭✭blanch152

Nothing is stopping Hamas releasing the hostages today. Why do you support them still keeping the hostages until tomorrow or some other future day?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,898 ✭✭✭✭Grayson

Lets face it, even if all the hostages were released tomorrow, Israel would still bomb. The military in Israel have said that there's no military objective left. They said that before the last ceasefire. And yet Israel still broke the ceasefire, which would have brought the hostages home, just so they could bomb with no military objective. And then they starved the entire population.

The Israeli government doesn't want the hostages back. They've deliberately blocked the return of the hostages.

Now they've got a plan to herd hundreds of thousands into a ghetto. Their plan is to ethnically cleanse the gaza strip.

Those cowardly IDF sickos will be proud of their work.

At least 798 killed in 6 weeks near Gaza aid points - UN

At least 798 killed in 6 weeks near Gaza aid points - UN.

The GHF, which began distributing food packages in Gaza at the end of May after Israel lifted an 11-week-old aid blockade, claimed the UN figures were "false and misleading".

It has denied that deadly incidents have occurred at its sites.

The OHCHR said it bases its figures on a range of sources such as information from hospitals in Gaza, cemeteries, families, Palestinian health authorities, NGOs and its partners on the ground.

Only muslims. The Israelis response will be to silence the UN person that produced the report.

    Nice try, but no cigar.

As already responded to you directly today, hostages should never haven taken. Those in captivity should have been released 644 days ago.

As you didn't respond to my questions, I'll assume you're continuing to support and justify Israel's atrocities - the execution of children and women and the starvation of an entire population in Concentration Camps.
