My order is off hold now we are officially in July. I have a new VIN assigned and an estimated delivery of July 1st to 7th showing in the app. I'm pretty sure that estimate will change but it would be great if I did get it this week.

I assume there is no way to track if it's in the country from the VIN. Only thing it tells me is it was built in Berlin as its XP7.

Perceived to be better workmanship. But no technical differences.

im only being offered baldonnel to collect, can i not collect at sandyford?

    Baldonnell is their collection point.

That's where they are shipped to from the boat. Pre-delivery inspection and reg plates are all done there.

Got my date for Friday lunch time. Perfect as I'm away Monday to Wednesday next week.

They just need to get the trade in offer and final payment in the app to be done.

The order machine is churning. I got a final payment notification request. Just paid by Revolut, so waiting for that to transfer and status to change. Was asked for proof of address by Tesla rep, so just emailed that on now. No delivery scheduled yet, but I just got my VIN this minute. Also XP7

Currently on holiday with the MY at home. When we left on 20 June, the battery was at 83%. Got a notification this morning saying, “accessory power has been turned off due to low battery charge.” Checked the app and the battery is down to 19%. Anyone any idea why the battery has drained so much in 10 days or what accessories it’s talking about? Thank goodness we didn’t drive to the airport - we’d never have got home.

Did you leave sentry mode on? That's about a 7% drain daily and would explain that. I've left my Y in the airport for 2 weeks with sentry off (and not checking it via the app so it stays in deep sleep) and lost 1/2% when I arrived back.

must be sentry mode left on, ideally youd have some cctv at home and have it set to be off when you are at home.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,338 ✭✭✭Grumpypants

Is there different levels of sentry mode. Like it records if someone hits the car versus recording if someone walks by ?

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 41,076 Mod ✭✭✭✭Gumbo

Sentry. Can use 10% per day depending on the activations.

In contrast, i left mine for 3 weeks and it lost 3% including and update with sentry off.

Would have been best to leave it plugged in if you wanted to leave sentry on at home.

I've managed about 5 days in the airport car park before it hit 20% battery from around 80% and turned off.

You can also configure it so that Sentry does not activate at home which i reckon most do if you have a drive although I could see why you might want to enable it while away on holiday, on the charger.

Sentry mode is not on when the car’s at home - so it hasn’t been on the whole 10 days.

as others have said if you left Sentry Mode turned on it would drain battery over time. Alternatively if you did not leave Sentey turned on with the latest software release there is a new feature “Keep Accessory Mode Turned on” which will also drain. See below

Crazy if ports and sockets use power when nothing is attached to them and you can’t turn them off remotely? Phantom power drain of more than 6% per day - it didn’t use to do that. How could they introduce something like that in a software update and not highlight it?

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 41,076 Mod ✭✭✭✭Gumbo

Ports and sockets using 6% a day while idle…..Where are you seeing that?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 602 ✭✭✭iniall

    Suggested by SOL1’s pic above.

Nothing in the picture suggests it uses 6% a day. Thats sentry types of usage. Jol’s pic states it will shut off once the HV battery gets to 20%.

Something else is draining the car to use 6% a day if not sentry.

Agreed. It only says the sockets will still be on. Now, if you have stuff plugged in, like a fridge…then it will drain power. Otherwise it will take almost nothing

I've a problem with the boot stopping when closing, as if it has hit an obstruction. It moves maybe half a foot, stops and opens up fully again. It always closes on the 2nd attempt. This happens every time, it is not random.

I was wondering if anyone has seen this before and if there is a diy fix? I'll log a service request, but I just wanted to check with you lads/ladies first in case there is an easy fix or tweak.

New Juniper MY. Its been happening from the start (when doing my inspection I thought i wasn't moving out of the way quick enough, the fact it closed on 2nd attempt put me off thinking it was a problem).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 602 ✭✭✭iniall

So what is it then? Sentry mode is not on, there’s no indication from the app that anything unusual is going on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 169 ✭✭reaction238

1/2% a day or in total? I'll be parking in the car park for 10 days. First time, so I'm a bit anxious about it!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 169 ✭✭reaction238

Disable everything you can. Any schedule will wake it up daily. Cabin overheat protection too, it needs to check the temperature regularly.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 602 ✭✭✭iniall

Cabin overheat has been off the whole time. Don’t see anything else I can turn off from the app…?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 1,718 ✭✭✭rx8

Also, when you are away, don't be checking the App and risk waking up the car. It'll be just fine sitting in the car park while you're away.

If you do get stuck, there's 6 ionity chargers at Frank Keane VW beside Charlestown shopping centre. Exit 5 on the M50, 10 minutes from the airport.

I'll go against the grain here, i was away for 3 weeks, i used the app every day to vent the windows. Every single day twice, to open and then close. Then done an update and still only lost 3% for those 3 weeks. And I've done that a few times now.
