Biffy Clyro to The 1975? That's a contrast. I tried. I was initially put off the 1975 and didn't even give them a listen due to their obsessive one-trick promoter here. But, I did give them a listen while on holidays. And…. I don't get it. Very, yeah, pleasant and inoffensive. Nothing bad. I mean, they are pleasant enough I suppose. They'll do well at the Pyramid and good luck to them. I thought they were going to be something different the way their fanbase promotes them. But will probably be at Avalon meself

Caught them once, at a festival in Slovakia when there was sod all else on. Won't be doing that again.

Dunno if they've done this before, but Spotify have created a Glastonbury genre and have (most of) the artists tagged into their respective stages. The ones listed at the top are not all the stages. If you scroll down they've a lot of the primarily music stages. Handy for checking people out. https://open.spotify.com/genre/0JQ5DAqbMKFRjoC1iWNybi

Saw a few late night guitar acts on the Peace Stage in the Shangri La last year. Lambrini Girls, Fat Dog, The Scratch and Bob Vylan (even though they don't actually have a guitar, I'd still class them as such).

I know they're remodeling the area, so that stage seems to be gone/rebranded, but can anyone recommend anything of that type this year? Was nice to have something to see in the SE corner after the main stages close, but most of the music there really isn't for me.

Me neither, but I am looking forward to the best bloody weekend of TV of the year!!

Absolutely love the BBC Glastonbury coverage, saw there was talk a few pages back of others taking over.…I really don't think Glasto would let that happen, no other broadcaster would put together a weekend of coverage like that, it's absolutely immense! The Sky coverage of Reading/Leeds, Isle of Wight etc is absolute dross in comparison.

Safe travels to those making the journey!! We'll make it someday, when the smallest is out of nappies!

The Vodafone app is out apparently. Never used it much until last year and it was actually pretty good for organising what I wanted to see.

Did you use the ‘find your friends’ function on it? If so, how effective was it? There’s a group of six of us, and when the Venn diagram intersects with acts we all want to see, it would be good to know where everybody is at the start of play!

I didn’t use that function. We used the what 3 words app last year and it was good.

Great reports from Pulp last night. Might have to get to the Pyramid at 6.15 on Sat as that Patchwork set looks increasingly like them.

It’s not officially confirmed but that secret Glasto twitter account is usually accurate I think.

Theyve a history of appearing unannounced. 2011 something similar. Brilliant show that day also.

I remember that, on the Park Stage the day after Radiohead had done the same. A heady year for big acts.

I think it was 2009 I saw Jarvis Cocker on approximately six different stages. I think he just shows up each year and they're all far too polite to tell him to leave.

It's looking like another scorcher unless something changes drastically. Not sure how I feel about that, it's better than mud and rain but 2019 was a struggle.

I got a great, I suppose you'd call it a parasol. A standard sized collapsible umbrella but it totally blocks out the light. Got a rechargeable fan also (I see them in lidl at the moment). 2019 was tough alright.

    I think it'll be cold pints weekend…. Life's tough 😀

But, yeah, to those who haven't been before: Hydration cannot be overemphasised. Wear your hat. Soak your hat. Have at least 2 litres of water on ya.

And trust me on the sunscreen….

Friend in Bristol at moment before Glastonbury. Still v hot there but had a good solid downpour today for about an hour. Should reduce dust etc. Weather still supposed to be good. Not as hot as it has been. Great.

For those new. While it looks like a wellie-free Glasto, and the weather looks like it will be good, still wear shoes that you can walk a lot in. Yes, it is mainly grass but there are still a lot of tracks and gravel/stone paths and bark. Hard in the feet by Saturday. While it might be tempting to wear a pair of flip flops or light cheap vans knockoffs, remember you will have a lot of walking. Wear a decent pair of hiking shoes/boots. You can always take them off and chill when you are where you want to go.

Off over in a couple of days. Enjoy, folks. Especially the first timers. Remember, there is more to G than the main stages.

Wednesday afternoon and evening looking a bit damp, I’m still not bringing wellies though

Weather looks fine. Wed overnight looks wet but nothing that will put matters at risk.

Enjoy all. No better place on planet Earth than Worthy Farm this week. Don't miss the Osees!

A bit of rain on Wednesday night (Even a good bit of rain) will be welcome. Will soften up the grass and dampen the dust. If that's what we get then that would actually be great.

The festival schedule has been out for a few weeks now.

    https://glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/line-up/line-up-2025/

The tv schedule you can see on the programme guide, but I guess you don't know exactly what they'll show. Usually the Pyramid headliners (not sure how much Neil Young plans to let them show) and sub headliners on BBC1 or BBC2 and Other Stage headliners on BBC4. Then there'll be a whole host of other bits and pieces too. Have it all set to record. Flying to Bristol tonight and will be on site tomorrow afternoon. Safe travels everyone and enjoy!

They won't fold but zero chance they'll be televised live I'd say. Be interesting to see what the lads have cooked up for the big one.

The weekend the telly goes outside weather permitting. Love it!
Wonder what weather we will get here.

As far as I know the only scheduled TV stuff is the highlights show at the end of the Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This usually has a sort of live broadcast of that nights headliners included.

They usually cover full sets more or less live from the five big stages (Pyramid, Other, Park, Woodsie, West Holts) from 2pm onwards each day on the iPlayer. The exception being anyone who negotiated for their footage not to be shown (like Neil Young). As far as I know if you were in the UK you'd also be able to get this content on a TV via the "red button".

If Kneecap are being shown live it will be iPlayer / Red Button content… they're not interrupting the antiques road show to put it on BBC 2. Then typically a song or two in the highlights of the day. The majority of people only ever watch the highlights so the "everyone is happy" option would be to have the set on iPlayer / Red button and then leave them out of the highlights reel.

Clashfinder have them as highlighted by almost 40% of people attending so it is going to be a huge hassle to go see them at the festival. They're gonna shutdown the area, probably before the previous act finishes. I am still debating if I want to burn three other acts I'd also want to see for them.

Loads of live (or almost live)performances on BBC1 (headliners), BBC2 (poppier stuff) and BBB4 (quirkier sets). Circa 15/16 hours per day across the three channels.

In terms of Kneecap I've no idea why they've not been upgraded to the Other Stage as they'll clearly have an enormous crowd. Same also for CharliXCX on the Other when she should be Pyramid, in fact a big enough act to headline.

Luckily enough Bob Vylan are on before the Belfast lads so I'll catch them and half of Kneecap before heading to John Fogerty on the Pyramid. There's going to be a fair amount along the lines of 'They tried to censor us and stop us reaching Glasto but here we are………..' with additional swearwords.

I'm going to try and get to Kneecap but if it's a total nightmare ill sack it off and go somewhere else.
