Leak in Home Heating

Can anyone recommend something other than thermal imaging leak detection to detect a leak in a now not functioning heating system. Had work done to an inset boiler stove which must have unsettled gunbarrel pipe work, plumber thinks this may have broken welds which led to a leak and boiler burst flooding the house.
Now at the point of having to rip out fireplace and trace pipe work to see where the leak is. Just wondering if there is any alternative to this. Tia

It’s not entirely clear what you are saying - do you have two separate issues? A boiler which has burst (requiring replacement) and also a suspected pipe work leak elsewhere?

Yes two issues, from what I took from the conversation with the plumber I thought one had led to the other, when the pipes to the stove back boiler were moved and cracked, well this is what is suspected anyway, this then in turn led to the burst boiler in the cellar.

would a long fibre optic cable feed in to the pipes at different places find it? Need one with a light included?

Something like this? Might be able to eliminate different sections to narrow it at least.
