    Thinking of upgrading to 4K

I currently have a Richer Sounds bought and installed Home Cinema system, it contains the following :

    Yamaha RX-V675

    image.png

connected to 5 +1 "Monitor Audio" speakers and subwoofer

    image.png image.png image.png image.png image.png image.png

Can I purchase the Yamaha RXV4A and the Optoma UHD38X and reuse the speakers ?

Do you recomend this combination and whats the best price you can do for a VIP (sic!) based in the south

    thanks

    Hi Celtic_Oz.

Many thanks for coming back to us.
I used to have the RXV675 myself.
Your Mass 5.1 speakers will pair with the RXV4A with no issues at all. That generation of Mass speakers were fantastic.
It will literally be, unplug one amp and replace everything straight into the back of the new one.

The RXV4 is retailing at €489 and doesn't really have a lot of margin to play with.
I could squeeze it down to €475

The Optoma UHD38X is a fantastic projector.
Currently retails at €1098 and this would be the best price on this unfortunately.

We do offer a price beat, so if you can find the same deal from a UK or Irish retailer/website then drop me a link and I can look into a price beat.
If it is a UK mainland retailer then you need to take into account any customs and an increased in VAT from 20% to 23%.

We currently have both items in stock and delivery would be 3-5 working days, tracked shipping via DPD.

Any questions please let me know.

These seem to be doing the projector slightly cheaper @ €977

    Hi Celtic_Oz.

Look like those guys are based in Poland unfortunately and don't actually ship from Ireland or have a base in Ireland.

Senetic SA, ul. Przewozowa 32, 44-100 Gliwice, Poland

You should check out their Trustpilot reviews.

I wouldn't be able to offer to beat this price as it falls outside our price beat T&C's.

    Amazon have it for €1,051

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Optoma-UHD38x-UHD-Home-4000/dp/B0BGN5GNQW

Richer Sounds also guarantees to beat web prices, and Price Beat is even valid for 7 days after purchase, so if you've seen a cheaper price, let us know, and we'll happily beat that price by up to £100!

    Hi Celtic_Oz.

Amazon.co.uk ship form mainland UK and you will get hit with customs when the items arrives for delivery unfortunately. I also don't see a euro price listed as Amazon.co.uk is priced in sterling.
Since the UK is no longer in the EU, items shipped from Amazon.co.uk to Ireland will be subject to import fees, including customs duties and VAT, depending on the value of the goods

I'm not trying to be awkward but it has to fall within out T&C's to allow me to enter a price beat onto the system and you can not purchase it from Amazon.co.uk for €1051.

It must be a like for like deal.
It must include delivery and any customs or change in VAT if shipping form a mainland company/website.

The Margin on the 38X is wafer thin, I can squeeze an extra €10 off it and offer it at €1088

    So the total price is €475 + €1088 = €1563

What is your best price including delivery

  • Company Representative Posts: 18,452 ✭✭✭✭Richersounds.ie: Kenny

    Hi Celtic_Oz.

The €1563 delivered would be our best price.
I can then add an extra €10 off VIP discount bring the total down to €1553 delivered.

    Let me know your thoughts.

Can you also give your best price for the Yamaha RXV6A (for Dolby Atmos/DTS:X ) and the Optoma UHD38X

also can you compare this setup to a Denon AVRS760 + Epson EH-TW6250

    thanks

    Hi Celtic_Oz.

The Denon AVRS760 is a great receiver and infact I can offer a great deal on the 770 version.
This one retails at €549 and I can offer it at €473 which is cheaper than the 760.
Both the 760 and 770 are very similar in spec but the The Denon S770H got rid of some legacy analog video inputs and has a newer onscreen interface. It also adds a USB port (power only) on the back to power stuff like a fire stick.

The Epson EH-TW6250 it retails at €1098. There is a bit more play on this and I can offer it at €1029

    Hey Celtic_Oz.

The UHD38X would be priced at €1088.

The RXA6 is the bigger brother to the RXV4. Priced at €618 which is already much cheaper than our £599 sterling retail. So unfortunately the €618 would be the best price on the RXV6.

What solution do you recommend ?

  • Company Representative Posts: 18,452 ✭✭✭✭Richersounds.ie: Kenny

    Hi Celtic_Oz.

Best bang for buck would be the Denon 770 with the TW6250.

The 770 has more features over the RXV4 and produces great audio quality.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,824 ✭✭✭celtic_oz

So Denon 770 with the TW6250 would be €473 + €1029 = €1,502. Assume you could do this for €1,500 delivered.

Are the ceiling mounts standard across brands so I can use the ceiling mount of my old optoma

    Also the speakers\subwoofer are compatible?

thanks, is there a reference I can quote when calling in to pay ?

    .

    Hey Celtic_Oz.

We can indeed do €1500 delivered on the 770 and TW6250.

Hopefully your bracket is universal as most are and should fit onto the TW6250, you may need to source some screws for attaching it as I'm not sure if they will be the same size as your current ones.

Your Mass speakers and sub will connect into the Denon just the same as you have them in your current amp.

If you are happy to proceed you can give us a call to the store to process it or if you drop me over your full name and address, along with a contact number in a PM, I can get the order onto our system and give you a call to finalise things up.

this is the ceiling bracket I have with the old projector

    image.png

what is the best price for the denon AVRS770H and the Epson TW7000 or TW7100 ( assume either would fit above bracket ?) I'm looking at these v the tw6250 because of better Optical Lens Shift and better Contrast Ratio on the 7000 series .. perhaps you could comment on that. Also the inbuilt android TV in the 6250 wouldnt use the sound system ( i think ) so not much use in a cinema room?

Thanks for getting back to us celtic_oz.

The Android TV on the EHTW6250 will play through an AVRS770H no problem so long as you have it connected via HDMI ARC. It will send the audio through the HDMI to the AV receiver and you can play the sound from the smart apps through the surround system.

The EHTW7000 and 7100 don't have ARC but they do have a better image quality so you would need to add your sources through the AV receiver. The bracket will also fit as they're universal brackets and can be manipulated to fit most projectors. What is the main source that you'll be using for the home cinema?

    Kind regards

    David

Main sources would be a mini pc with 4k out and a fire stick 4k max

This is the order line item of the HDMI cable in the ceiling:

    Bought 14-May-2014

    CAMBRIDGE 914 ACTIVE HDMI 10 MTR (ef6.1)

will that support 4K and ARC ?

    Hi celtic_oz,

Thanks for getting back to me.

I can't find anything definitive on the Cambridge cable as it was on sale when I first started way back in the mists of time but I'm 99% sure it was HDMI 1.4 compatible which means it should support ARC but will only carry 1080p. You may need to replace the cable as well for a 4K image.

I could do you a deal on the Denon AVRS770H at £449/549 euro but I don't have much to play with on the projectors so the web pricing would be the best I would have on those unfortunately!

Please don't hesitate to drop me a post if you'd like to go ahead with any of those.

    Kind regards

    David
